• Maria Protopappa (1/5): Be aware of the issues with the heating!!!! - Only 5 minutes from Battersea power station which was handy. We didn't find the apartment noisy although it was winter and we had the windows closed. The “free parking” is actually a small side road that fits a maximum of 10 cars and is usually full. We were lucky enough to find a spot, but only because it was not a busy time of day. The house lacked basic complimentary items such as shampoo, shower gel. The dishwasher was not working and there was no bin in the kitchen. We had to open cupboards to find bedding for the third bed. The third bed, which was a sofa bed, was extremely uncomfortable and very short—no one can realistically sleep on it. The most important issue, however, was the heating. This was a serious safety concern and there are no excuses for it. We checked in at 11 pm and the apartment was freezing cold. It took time to figure out how to turn the heating on, and in the end the radiators in the bedrooms were not working. It was 0 °C outside and almost the same inside, as the apartment is on the top floor. This resulted in the living room being boiling hot while the bedrooms were freezing cold. We ended up moving a mattress into the living room to sleep, as it was impossible to sleep in the bedrooms. We tried to contact the owner, who claimed not to be aware of the issue, even though there are already reviews on Booking mentioning the same problem. The apartment itself is nice, but we did not enjoy our stay. We had to sleep with three duvets and move mattresses into the living room due to the extremely low temperature in the bedrooms.

I had to try and sleep on the 2 seater sofa so didn’t get much sleep.

• Kim (1/5): Poor. Will not book again! - False advertising! The listing claimed a sofa bed, but it was just a chair. As a party of three needing separate beds, we were left without adequate sleeping arrangements or bedding. The owners were unresponsive to our complaints. On top of that, the floors were filthy, the beds uncomfortable, and the chair was broken and dangerous. Avoid this place!

• Christina (3/5): not in the Battersea Power Station apartment complex but in a not so nice street 7 mins walk away - the apartment is decorated new and , although basic quality, everything you need is inside. The location 'Battersea Power Station Suite' is so misleading; and I assume on purpose. This apartment is not in the Battersea Power Station complex of apartments! It is a 7 min walk away down some side streets, with 'not so safe looking apartment blocks'. We were expecting the safety of the BPS complex not just a random apartment in a random street and we would never have booked. we couldn't go out at night safely without a taxi door to door. Also, this apartment is rented to dog owners (there are big dog bowls on the worktop) and every carpet had large brown stains and water stains that look like pee stains. I would recommend for people with big dogs who maybe didnt care but not for other travellers who shouldn't have to stay and look at those dog stains.

Host organised a workman to attend without - The property was conveniently located for Battersea park/power station and the host did allow us to check in early. Broken sofa, dishwasher and washing machine. Shower head full of limescale so the water was spraying in all directions. Apartment was a bit shabby. Host sent a workman round during my stay of which was for 1 night.

The keys to enter would have been a nice start. A refund on a stay in an apartment that I could not enter would be even better. Seller is non responsive. Location is grim, I would not dare have gone back there in the dark and my friend was not happy about it at all. Hard to find too, directions are not clear. Lock box (that did NOT have keys in) was really hard to open.

• Guilllaume (7/5): - L'appartement étai propre, spacieux et bien aménagé Nous avons loué pour 5 personnes mais il n'y avait que 4 chaises (Une personne a du manger dans le canapé) et le canapé lit qui est dans le séjour n'est pas confortable. Autre point, l'appartement est très proche d'une ligne de chemin de fer ou métro. On entend passé le train toutes les 5 minutes environ.

• Sara (7/5): Good flat in great location but owner needs to be available after check in time. - Clean and a great location. Comfortable beds and a few basics provided … tea bags, coffee etc. Keys were not where they were supposed to be and the owner had phone going to voicemail and didn’t respond to message quickly. Not his mistake with keys and it was sorted quickly once his friend rang him - we were lucky his friend was around. Curtain rail and curtains in 2nd bedroom need to be replaced.

• Smith (4/5): Great location, property could do with some tlc, priced too high for what you get - Great location and comfortable beds Lift was out of service on arrival and we were not informed of this prior to our stay, difficult getting a newborn and my disabled mother in law up and down the stairs. Floor throughout property was ridiculously creaky every step you took was loud! Sofa in the living room had a weird smell and upon entering the property there was a musty smell, almost as if someone had been smoking in there.

Hadn't been cleaned with dirty beds and towels rubbish still left in and host failed to rectify the situation and failed to respond to messages. Not actually in battersea power station in less desirable road behind it. Walls are paper thin and can hear outside and the trains going past . Also the WiFi didn't work and the host didn't comment on this at all or try to help sort this out.
• Meryl (5/5): Good option for a one night stay - The apartment is in a good location with a great view of Battersea Power Station. It was spacious and clean. It's right by the train tracks but the two bedrooms face away from them so it's not too noisy. Unfortunately, the key to the place was stuck in the apartment door. The host had said a locksmith was coming to fix it, but by 10PM no one had come so...we barricaded the door. Luckily the apartment building requires a fob to enter (which we had retrieved from the lockbox) so we didn't feel entirely unsafe. Dishwasher was broken. There also wasn't a lot of cutlery available. The toilet had no lid, which is not great when you have a child under 5.
• Emily (1/5): Apartment not cleaned and hosts unresponsive - Good location, easy to access. When we arrived evening it was evident the apartment had not been cleaned since the last guests were here. The bed sheets had been slept in, the bins were full of rubbish and there was rubbish on the side in the kitchen. The bathroom and towels had been used and there was no toilet roll. Fortunately, we found clean linen so were able to change the sheets but even these had been carelessly thrown in the linen cupboard. Many of the ‘clean’ towels were dirty or appeared to have been washed badly. I contacted the owner on booking.com on our arrival through the booking.com chat. No answer. I then messaged them again in the morning, this time via text to the contact number on the booking. No answer. I sent a further message through the booking.com ‘help’ contact channels and finally received a reply (long after our booking had ended), which was highly unsatisfactory. The hosts indicated they had not had guests on the night before our reservation and that the flat had been cleaned since the last booking, and therefore they did not know what had happened. This is a real shame because the flat is in a good location and a good size for 3/4 people. I would definitely not book again or recommend this booking. For me, the fact it took 24 hours to respond to my communications was completely unacceptable, regardless of the cleaning issues. We felt incredibly uncomfortable staying here.

• Shiv (1/5): Nightmare and not worth the money - Location was close to underground and power station 1. Very poor communication when key got stuck in the lock. Tried to call numerous times but no answer. Eventually they replied and didn’t seem very bothered and said it can’t be sorted until the next day. We Had to sleep with the key in the outside of the door which made us feel very uneasy/we had to leave our personal items behind when going out for dinner etc. we spent 30 mins trying to get the key out of the door which made us late for our dinner reservation. We had to use a phone charger to try and make some sort of lock for the door for security whilst sleeping. 2. Sofabed uncomfortable to the point it can’t be used 3. No tea bags, coffee, or milk! 4. When checking in a couple and a child were still at the property. The child was also being changed on the sofa bed - leaving a bad smell in the flat. 5. Towels were very small- hand towels only.

• David (8/5): Clean apartment in a great location for easy access to Battersea Power Station and underground. - Excellent location, just 2/3 minutes walk from Battersea Station underground and the station itself. We were there for a graduation ceremony at The Royal Festival Hall and this gave very quick and easy access to Waterloo (and onwards) via the Northern Line. Nice view of Battersea Station from the balcony. Timely communications from the owner and key pick up easy via a lock box. Two nice double rooms and a kitchen/living space that was perfectly comfortable for our needs - however, we did not use the kitchen facilities except drinking some water, so unable to comment on them. All areas very clean. As others have commented, there are trains passing close behind the apartment on the main line in to Waterloo (every minute or so). The windows etc block some of the noise and rest dealt with this by using green noise to cover it whilst getting to sleep. The bathroom extractor didn't seem to work and the surface behind the sink is damaged (I'm assuming by condensation) but this is cosmetic.

Advertised as free parking but free parking is down a tiny side road where residents park their cars. Due to no spaces, we had to spend an additional £140 to park the car for 4 days. We had messaged the host regarding the free parking but completely ignored it.
• David (8/5): Predictable, reliable, comfortable, so home from home as a regular visitor. - Location is perfect for me (Northern Line Tube to/from Moorgate). All the facilities of Battersea Power Station on the doorstep. Apartment (for a solo traveller, or for a couple) is plenty big enough in terms of open plan living/kitchen/dining area and main bedroom is more than adequate. There were some lock box issues which I have messaged about separately. I am a regular booker of this apartment and it is genuinely fabulous, but getting and returning the keys was an issue last week (Wednesday 23.10). Longer term, the bathroom might need a bit of refurbishment? But I mean longer term; as I said I am a regular booker and always happy to re-book.
• Colin (2/5): NO PARKING, BROKEN DISHWASHER NEARLY BROKE MY KNEE - The property’s parking situation definitely needs improvement. Despite being advertised as free, it's not. There’s limited parking available on a small side street, but it only accommodates about 8 cars, none of which moved during my entire 2-day stay. Parking directly outside the property costs £0.05 per minute, which adds up quickly. Additionally, the dishwasher was completely broken. There was a small sign indicating this, but I missed it, and when I opened the door, it fell off and caused a painful injury to my knee. Overall, I was disappointed with my stay and wouldn’t choose this property again

• Emily (9/5): Lovely apartment close to Battersea - Lovely little apartment, well equipped and located brilliantly close to the power station with all the new shops and restaurants. Really comfortable beds and a cute little balcony that we enjoyed a glass of wine on.
• Jackie (8/5): Location superb, minor negative issues - Well stocked kitchen. Fan in the bedroom. Good sized family area and 2 double bedrooms. Access to terrace. Easy access to keys. Lift access. Location to tube station was superb and the small supermarket a godsend. The soundproofing from both trains and planes is great. It is a very lovely hidden gem with the potential to be perfect! Battersea power station is a wonderful location and this apartment is perfectly placed to enjoy it. No fan in enclosed bathroom. Dishwasher broken, (unacceptable on holiday) no draining tray for dishes (in absence of dishwasher). Dishwasher sponges were used and dirty. No welcome pack. TV kept glitching and had lines through the screen (late night Olympic viewing). In the absence of recycling info, (and rubbish disposal) we left bottles on the side. All these are minor issues which would have hugely enhanced our otherwise wonderful stay.

Location super close to public transit, shopping and restaurants. We had a minor issue with some lighting, not working, they came and fixed it immediately!
