Guest Reviews
- Victoria (8/5): - Beautiful forest location. Fairy tail vibes
- Simon (10/5): Comfort right at natures door step - Amazing location. The A frame chalets are very comfortable with a full kitchen, internet and very comfortable sofas and beds. We were given ac lively welcome and great tips to get up early to enjoy the walks that are close by.
- Sujeeva (8/5): -
- Ailsa (8/5): Lovely location and would stay again - Beautiful location, comfortable house, good communication from host Driveway had a speed bump that was a bit high
- Michael (10/5): Quaint, quirky and comfortable chalets close to Granite Climb, Stirling Ranges, Mt Barkers' delights - The quaint chalets are well stocked with comforts of home - coffee, teas, kitchen utensils for self catering ease. The beds and rooms are comfortable and the spacious lounge/dining a relaxing haven. The aircon was necessary in the hot weather, however doesn't quite make it upstairs, but we were not phased as we were only there late afternoons onwards after bush walking, in which time it had cooled down. The hosts are so friendly and helpful, the cottages quaint and quirky, and well equipped for short and long stays. In the bush surrounded by birdsong and gentle breezes, it is perfect! Nothing !

- Stephanie (9/5): A beautiful unique stay located in a wonderful area of Western Australia - It was very easy to find the property and the host was so very helpful as well. The property's location was also perfectly situated so that you could easily get to the Granite Skywalk, Nancy's Peak as well as Bluff Knoll. There are nearby restaurants and wineries, and you are not too far from Mt Barker. The home itself has everything you need and the beds are really comfy! Just note that the floorboards are very creaky and loud, so if you need to move around at night you will definitely wake other people up.
- Lily (10/5): Comfortable, easy and relaxing - Trish and Jason were such lovely and welcoming hosts. The house was so so cosy and had everything we needed. Lovely setting in the bush. Everything was clear and easy. We didn’t want to leave. Loved our stay. Thanks to you both! Nothing
- simonandjanet (6/5): Property a bit tired and poorly insulated. Spacious - Convenient location, spacious Property rather tired and very poorly insulated. Stairs rather steep
- Ans (9/5): - Such a cute, quaint spot! I loved the little A-frame cottages. It has a magical forest feel. The house itself was well-appointed and small conveniences (like having olive oil and salt and pepper) make all the difference, especially since it is a little drive to a town. Great location to get away and get into nature! Nothing.
- Martin (9/5): Lovely, clean, well positioned chalet in quiet spot. - It was in a beautiful spot. Very quiet and it was lovely listening to the birds. The chalet was very clean and there were lots of little thoughtful things like a scrabble board and books. The sofa and chairs were very comfortable. Plenty of towels etc and well equipped. Communication was good and they were very keen to be helpful. We liked just about everything. It was a really nice chalet and we would recommend it highly. Thank you. The only negative was that the bed was too small and not very comfortable. We are both tall and the double bed just wasn't big enough.
- Jude (9/5): Our accommodation had everything we needed and the service was outstanding. - Ver comfortable and had everything we needed. Nothing
- Selina (8/5): Stay was lovely and peaceful - Nice and tranquil Would have been nice to have a balcony and fire or even outdoor bbq
- Greg (10/5): A great place to spend a few days. - Our chalet was super comfortable and had everything we needed. The extra touches like having the fire lit when we arrived as well as wine and chocolates for my wife’s birthday were greatly appreciated. Even though it was cold and wet on our first day the chalet was very warm thanks to the extra heating and electric blankets. We had a very special time here. It was all perfect for us.
- Kylie (10/5): A blisssful little escape! - Everything! It was the cutest little cabin with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
It was so cosy and I could have easily stayed longer. We will be back for sure 😊 I think the only downside was the short beds. It’s been a while since I slept in a double, but it wasn’t a big deal. I’d happily do it again.
- Jordy (10/5): Really enjoyed my stay and will definitely use this place again. - The chalet is so homely and cute! It’s well equipped and has everything you need. The grounds are beautiful and the hosts are very welcoming and helpful.
- Fiona (10/5): Exceptional - I loved the location and Trish was the best host ever!

- Joerg (10/5): One of a kind place to enjoy silence in the woods! - I really loved the quiet, secluded setting of the cabins in the midst of the woods. Trish and Jason were very helpful and great hosts and I hope to be back sometime at this wonderful place! -
- Huang (10/5): Exceptional -
- Heidy (9/5): It was relaxing and nice and quiet. Comfy beds after a hike! -
- Mino (8/5): Very good -
- Jess (10/5): I will be back, and bring others! - The location was incredible, the chalet had absolutely everything we needed. Cozy, well equipped kitchen, great correspondence from the staff so we knew what to expect. Great local knowledge and genuine care- ie, a text message at night to ensure we made it home safely from our hike. After a long day of hiking a bath would be amazing- but recognise water restrictions may not allow this.
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vincent (10/5): We had a great time staying in the chalet, super comfortable and clean. The chalets are a credit to the owners. - Spotlessly clean, well appointed kitchen, comfortable beds, spacious bathroom.
- Julie (8/5): very enjoyable - great location most bars & restaurants were closed during the week while we were there, & only open Fri, Sat & Sun
- Pauline (10/5): There was everything you could have needed for a short stay away. - It was a fantastic location for the skywalk. The only thing that would have made our stay more comfortable would to have been to have a bigger bed. Hubby and I don’t she are a double well😝
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bec (9/5): Superb - Lovely chalet that was a good generous size. Lots of books, information and homely touches. Loved the information booklet about the area.
Had aircon with heating and cooling which was great!
- Luis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tiffany (8/5): Great place to stay. Great timely communication with the owner. Great location to explore the surrounding areas. -
- Jeff (8/5): Comfortable and fun accommodation in an isolated location. Genuine hosts keen to constantly improve their property. - Quirky accommodation in lovely bushland setting. Chalet is very well set up with comfortable furniture and great kitchen facilities. Our hostess was very friendly and provided extra touches such as a candle and a few provisions which we appreciated. Location gives good access to iconic local walks. The stairs to the loft are not for the faint hearted and they are dealing with a couple of bathroom issues.
- Vanessa (9/5): A great spot and the chalet had all the amenities for self-catering. - Loved the bush setting, quiet and relaxing location. The chalet had everything we needed for our stay and lots of walks close by.
- Lindsay (7/5): Good -
- Anne (10/5): Great place to stay. - It was a gorgeous place to stay. Host were accommodating. The place was extremely clean and comfortable. Would recommend for anyone wanting to get away from it all. Definetly would go again.
- Stephen (9/5): Superb -
- Hendrika (10/5): Fabulous, Secluded Getaway - Accommodation is hard to locate in the Porongurups, so securing the Porongurup Chalets was very fortunate. We stayed in the Jasmine chalet, and it was exactly what we were looking for, a little home away from home. The chalet was very clean, heating was excellent and lovely hot water, just what you need after a long day hiking. All the facilities you could possibly need are provided. Remember to bring food, dining out isn't really an option, particularly early/mid week, unless you want to travel to Mt Barker. That's the beauty of the place, a safe, secluded getaway surrounded by the majesty of the Porongurups and the Stirling Ranges. Owner Trish was incredibly helpful and always on hand to assist. Altogether, a fabulous experience that we would highly recommend.
