• pieter (9/5): Prima verblijf gehad, bij mooi weer uitstekende locatie - Schitterend huisje, fijn en schoon zwembad, mooi uitzicht Bed was bedekt met fleece dekens; dekbed zou fijner zijn. Een stofzuiger zou fijn zijn.

• Astrid (1/5): Horrornacht - Die Lage wäre prinzipiell toll. Ich verreise mehrmals pro Jahr zu Unterkünften, die via Booking gebucht wurden und habe bisher noch nie eine schlechte Bewertung abgegeben. Diese Unterkunft war leider so grauenhaft, dass wir bereits nach einer Nacht wieder abgereist sind, obwohl wir acht Nächte gebucht hatten. Die Unterkunft als Villa zu bezeichnen ist schlicht irreführend und der Preis nicht gerechtfertigt. Der Garten war ungepflegt, der Pool verdreckt und die Küchenutensilien teilweise verschmutzt. Beim Eintritt in das Haus stach sofort ein extremer Geruch nach kaltem Rauch in Kombination mit Putzmitteln und Chlor in die Nase. Über dem Esstisch hing ein dicker Holzbalken "lose" vom Dach. Bautechnisch würde das in anderen Ländern wohl nicht den Sicherheitsvorschriften entsprechen. Das alles wäre vielleicht noch "ertragbar" gewesen. Die einzige Heizquelle in dem Haus ist ein Kamin. Es gibt zwar noch zwei Klimaanlagen mit Heizfunktion, die jedoch auch nach stundenlangen Heizversuchen keine Erwärmung der Raumtemperatur gebracht hatten, da sie leistungstechnisch völlig unzureichend für das Haus sind. Wir waren im Februar vor Ort, wo bei Nachttemperaturen von 5 bis 10 Grad jedenfalls eine Heizung notwendig war. Bei unserem Aufenthalt war es sehr windig. Da Fenster und Türen nicht dichten hat es im gesamtem Haus stark gezogen. Der Kamin war nicht funktionsfähig, er hatte in der Mitte des Bodens, wo einst der Rost für die Asche war ein Loch. Bei unseren Heizversuchen hat es den Rauch in das Rauminnere gedrückt. Nun wussten wir auch woher der penetrante Geruch kam. Uns wurde darüber hinaus zum Heizen untaugliches, feuchtes und schimmeliges Holz zur Verfügung gestellt. Nach zwei Stunden gescheiterter Heizversuche und mit einem Geruch, wie aus einer Selchkammer haben wir aufgegeben und sind letztendlich bei ca.12 bis 14 Grad Innentemperatur mit Winterjacken ins Bett. Der "Selchgeruch" an der Jacke meines Freundes erinnert noch heute an diese Horrornacht.

It was wonderful after a long day at the track to come back and relax in the comfort and peacefulness, We got great night sleep as the beds were very comfortable me and had everything we needed. The restaurant next door is fabulous, good food and good people. NA

• Helen (8/5): Very good - Rustic villa with the basics, which was part of the charm. Great outdoor space and in lovely location. Swimming pool used many times a day despite being October, night and day, with my 9 year old daughter. Restaurant right next door with a lovely view and good food. My daughter loved the stray cats and named her favourite. Great base for walking Caminito del Rey and local horse trekking. Drove to Ronda and to Malaga, all pretty easy although the roads in this area are not for the faint hearted! We came to really love the villa. When we first arrived we were a bit put off by how basic it was, but it is a lovely bolthole. And it grew on us over time! Our mistake - we arrived on a national holiday having not shopped for food before leaving Malaga. All local shops shut. Saved by the restaurant next door!!

• Filo (9/5): Superb - Having a fireplace to lit in the evening was almost as lovely as breakfast at the terasee just after the sunrise. Matrasses on the bed definitely exceeded our expectations. Knives in the kitchen are badly blunt, and the key in the front door lock gets stuck all the time! Otherwise no issues at all.
