Guest Reviews
- Jenny (10/5): Beautiful house, beautiful grounds - great hosts, would 100% stay here again - we visited as a friend group of 11 people, the house was absolutely perfect for us - hot tub and outside bar was a huge hit even in December! We really appreciated the house being decorated for christmas too, it really put us in the festive mood!
Tony was a great help with letting us feed the animals, and showing us around the property, and helpful will replenishing the logs for the fire, we had it going and it was all nice and cosy there honestly isn’t anything to complain about, the house is well kept and had all the amenities we needed for our “Friendmas”
- Debbie (10/5): A lovely relaxing place with a home from home feeling. - A lovely property with plenty to do.
Loved seeing all the animals & feeding them.
The house & the gardens were immaculate, the bar area was a great place for entertainment of many games of killer Darts, music & Karaoke. There was actually nothing to dislike in this property, if I was to be a bit picky it would be to say there wasn’t enough seating in the lounge area, but this by all means wouldn’t stop us from staying again.
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional - Animal feeding fishing lake cottage as a whole was wonderful for a large family with hot tub and Cinema room which was a big hit.
- Jon (10/5): Exceptional - This whole place is amazing. From the greeting on arrival, the animals, the hot tub, the outside bar (with tv, fridge, table football, a heater, bbq, and dart board) to the log fire in the living room. Four of the five bedrooms are large and comfortable, with the fifth being a little smaller with bunk beds. Large dining room where all nine of us could sit comfortably and eat together. The kitchen was easily big enough for the amount of people who can stay here. The cinema room adds another feature that makes this property a great venue. The animals in the field directly behind the back garden/outside bar area had 2 highland cattle, sheep, alpacas and ducks, which we were all allowed to feed whilst supervised by the owner (who comes over daily) Tony, the owner was very nice, and Laura who was my main contact replied swiftly and professionally to all our queries, even though we stayed over the Easter bank holiday. Nothing
- Dawn (9/5): Beautiful area, stunning cottage, great amenities - Friendly hosts, very kind with our children when supporting them to feed the animals. The cottage had everything you needed, perfect, loved the hot tub and outdoor bar area. We loved the open spaces, peaceful area. Nothing
- Mica (10/5): A fantastic weekend away with the family in a stunning house with lovely views, would 100% recommend to anyone! - The house was stunning with amazing gardens, it was such a relaxing weekend away with all the amenities we could have wanted/needed. The hot tub was a lovely luxury and the bar area was fantastic. Loved every minute of the stay and we 100% be back. We met Tony and he was just lovely, also Laura who showed us around when we arrived was a lovely lady and so friendly, she was always on hand via text if we needed any assistance at all. Tony allowed the children to feed the alpacas, sheep and highland cows one morning which they absolutely loved as well, great little addition to the weekend. There is a fully functional bbq which we used one evening and books and games are supplied in the livingroom. The cinema room was also fab for the kids to chill in. The only thing is our dogs were not allowed upstairs. Whilst I completely understand the rule for them not being allowed on furniture. Not allowing them upstairs made things a little tricky. Dogs do not like unknown environments and leaving them alone downstairs on a night can really stress them out. This is not quite what I would call dog friendly that’s all.
