• Erik (10/5): Relaxing break in Nature - The location on the Garden route close to Knysna, Brenton-on-Sea and the rest of the area is great, but also secluded in what feels like a nature reserve with antelope and many various birds The 3x bedroom house is very spacious located in a secure estate with a pool, kids play area and tennis courts which we used everyday Highly recommended for families who want to get away to nature and away from the busier areas but still close enough to go out for the day nothing

• Tom (8/5): Met our needs as a base in Knysna. Clean, comfortable and well-equipped. - The chalet was very clean and well equipped. The grounds are peaceful and quiet, and perfect for young kids. Bedding was good quality, comfortable and warm. Great value. One or two mosquitoes - come prepared with mozzie repellent.

• Andreas (10/5): Great place with caring owner - I loved my stay in this super clean and super well equipped home. There is virtually everything for a short or long stay. The spacious compound is lovely with guinea fowl, tame bushbuck and cute bunnies all around. Very safe area with wonderful views over the lagoon.

• Marc (10/5): Exceptional - Quiet, beautiful setting and everything you need to enjoy a break away from the hustle and bustle. 3 bedrooms, a kitchen with everything and a really nice patio with braai. Overlooking the green grass and animals. Nothing to note.

• Zayne (9/5): Superb - The place was great. On arrival, everything was neat and clean. All the necessary things you'd expect at a cottage was there. The braai area, the swim pool, the parking space, the children's play area and ofcos the TV facilities (Full dish package, wifi etc.),it was all great. Perhaps the loadshedding affecting everyone else. During loadshedding we had fully charged lights for all the rooms so I suggest taking a few games with to play during loadshedding.

The comment on what we did not like can easily be sorted out and did not spoil the holiday. The beds available shown on bookings.com differs from what was actually available. The house has 2 rooms each with a double bed and one room with 2 single beds. The layout on bookings.com shows room 1 has 2 single beds and 2 double beds. The group consisted of a mother, her 17 year old daughter and 3 boys. The 3 boys were supposed to sleep in room 1. They sorted the sleeping out but the information on bookings.com should be updated to show the actual bed arrangement. Despite the above the group had a wonderful time

• Cora-mari (9/5): Lovely stay in the greenery of Brenton on Lake - We loved the electric blankets! We also appreciated that we had access to tennis racquets and tennis courts. We could cook to our hearts delight in the kitchen. It's also lovely to have the bokkies walking around.

• Tracy (7/5): lovely location with comfortable facilities. - Location was good, peacfull, enjoyed the animals walking around We only needed 2 bedrooms, however the unit was advertised as a 3 bedroom unit, but it only had 2 bedrooms and the 3rd bedroom had been made into a diningroom area. The unit definitely needs the braai patio to be covered with some form of solid weather resistant material .

• Tara (9/5): Really amazing and unforgettable for a family holiday. - The location was great, and near enough to walk to the lagoon. The accommodation had more than we expected, with the extensive wildlife in and around the accommodation being a real treat. The accommodation had tennis rackets and balls, beach accessories and an umbrella. We always had hot water, the rooms were warm, washing and drying facilities nearby make a huge difference when holidaying over a colder period (bring along many R5 coins), and the percolator for coffee topped off a fantastic weekend. This is nothing that the host or facilities can change, but worth a mention that the loadshedding makes for a real challenge in respect of cooking as the stove and oven are electric. We tried braai-ing but the wood was very wet. When all else fails, hit the restaurants in the Waterfront, which are great. We experienced allot of mosquito's and are prone to bites, so would recommend insect repellent, an LED light and some cards/board games to bring along with you.

The children had a wonderful time interacting with the rabbits, geese and little buck. What a treat. We loved everything. Only additional item could be added is a trampoline. Other than that all wonderful.

• Adel (10/5): Exceptional - Such an awesome little gem very close to knysna. Lovely house with a beautiful few. Lots of animal roaming around free, we had a cute family of baby bunnies staying right in front of the house. Clean and very neat. Everything that we needed.

The interior was a bit dated but everything was functioning. There was lots of space for the two of us in the whole house. There was no wifi throughout our stay either in the house or close to the hosts their house

• Craig (2/5): Not for us again - The complex was not on the Lagoon and not advertised properly. It would of been nice to have a River or Lagoon very near by to do some fishing. I found there was nothing really to do there and my kids were a bit bored after the second day stay. It’s also very expensive for what you actually get in accommodation.
