• Sarah (2/5): Not good at all. - The location was great. Beds were uncomfortable. Walked in and there was a used hair dye on the ground. No toilet paper. There a as rubbish under both beds from previous person. Weren't given any information pre-arrival or when we arrived.
• Aron (8/5): I needed somewhere close to the football field for an early morning start. This was perfect. - The location was perfect and close to the Lake Macquarie Regional Football Park. A bedside lamp would have been better.

• knash (8/5): Great location without the crowds - Although the cabin was somewhat dated, my sister and I were pleasantly surprised by the standard of the accommodation. Some of the reviews are poor but we found the host to be welcoming, the shower was hot, the beds were comfortable with clean sheets and there was plenty of room for the two of us in a two bedroom cabin. It was hot during our autumn visit but once we opened the windows, we didn't need the aircon because the cabin was well sited - getting breezes and morning sun. The cabin is within a permanent caravan park but we felt safe at all times. It is really well located and an easy drive to many tourist spots as well as having pretty walks straight from the cabin. We were there 3 nights. The pool was nice although we didn't go in. We felt we needed to wash dishes and cutlery before we used any but that is what we do anyway. As long as you don't expect 5 star accommodation, the place was fine.

• Helen (3/5): - Caretakers office was filthy and smokey, hadn't seen a vacuum cleaner in quite a while by the look of the carpet and there were things stacked everywhere--real untidy. The flyscreens of the office were worn with holes in them, which should have been a warning for the small cottage. The Cottage was run down, the lounge was stained and sunken in places, there was a gap between the shower and floorboards. Nothing felt clean. We decided to eat out and not use any of the cutlery or crockery supplied. The bed looked clean and was comfortable to sleep in. The verandah had holes in the deck. The reviews for this accommodation were good which was a real surprise when we checked in. Very very basic and would have been good if clean. Felt like someone had stayed the night before and they hadn't cleaned the unit. Most run down caravan park ever seen.

• Biagio (3/5): Rough. But passable for just one night. - Well located. Clean. Quite run down. Noisey wall mounted air conditioner. Quite run down. Lots of long-term residences. We only had a quarter of a roll of toilet paper and no replacement.

Besides we had a roof over our head and a tiny aircon The pool was t working even toby messaged and asked if it was I didn’t receive my room key till 530 when I checked in at around two. They were also rubbish and dirty linen in front of both of our places. We had to contact staff multiple times. he was 40° and I was sitting there waiting for a key with two children in a car for well over 2hrs. Couldn’t even take them in for a dip in the pool while we waited because it was green

• Donna (5/5): Won’t stay there again. - Location to my relatives. Hot water ran out in one cabin. All beds weren’t made. Wasn’t ready at check in time. No extra toilet paper. One cabin screen door didn’t lock and bathroom floor felt very unsafe. Facility needed mowing and pool wasn’t clean. Laundry couldn’t be used as taken up by facility washing. No pegs supplied for line. Should be kept as a permanent stay site not for travelers.

• Brandon (2/5): Pretty poor - Location is the only upside. The guy running it was nice. Aircon worked. It had an incredibly high chemical smell in the room, beds were horrible, toilet was not attached to the floor so sitting on it would cause it to shift. The whole cabin would move and shift depending on where you stood in the cabin. Unfortunately the lovely guy who runs it seems to be the only person so was never in the office. I had to leave and come back when I was trying to checkout. He also said that he hasn't got time to do the washing and maintenance as he is always busy with someone or a job around the place. The front office felt like I was getting cancer just walking in. We actually went and bought cups and cutlery as I didnt trust the ones in the cabin. The front porch of the cabin was damaged and could have easily injured someone if they weren't careful. Definitely wont be staying again.

• Berenice (2/5): Rough as guts - I liked that is was in a good location and I was able to have my pets On arrival, dirty sheets on the verandah and the cabin not cleaned. Had to make own bed and ask for a pillow. Cabin had mould on the windows and in the bathroom. The oven when heated smelled so bad we had to sit outside. The shower dripped non stop and had no pressure. There were no extras like coffee, milk, teatowel or workable cooking utensils. The verandah was a trip hazard with loose board and missing plank. I paid $152 per night, I would expect more than a dirty shack to stay in. The office looked like a storage shed full of papers and rubbish. No bins outside to put rubbish in. The bunk beds were disgusting. Thin vinyl covered mattresses and ancient, graffitied frame. Basically this is a health hazard

• Colleen (8/5): Short family getaway - Convenient location, clean, family friendly. We have travelled and stayed in lots of motels and even though it was a double, hands down the best mattress and we had a great sleep. Didn't get to stay longer
• Ann-marie 2020 (6/5): - The rude receptionist who called me and told me that the office was closing at 5 and pretty much didn't make it no accommodation and also there was next to no hot water the night we arrived, so everyone couldnt freshen up
• Annette (4/5): - The location was close to family. Shower had hot water the bed was comfortable. I emailed asking if the oven was fully functioning. I was visiting family and needed to cook food. Otherwise, I would have stayed elsewhere and not worried about cooking. I put a tray with potatoes in the oven for 45 minutes, and the tray wasn't even hot! This caused drama and delay the next day. The sofa was like sitting on a rock. The vans in the park that are derelict need to be gotten rid of. It's an eerily feeling, driving through. Unfortunately I didn't find the manager friendly. We arrived late in the afternoon. The office was closed. I pressed a button, then saw the phone number and I called. The response was "You didn't give me a chance, you pressed the button then called". She was annoyed. For the price it was fine, but I won't ever stay there again.

• Leonie (3/5): Keep looking - The park is a short drive to the Lake that has good walking tracks and playgrounds for the kids. The cabin had a good heater and was reasonably comfortable and allowed pets which was a bonus We booked 2 cabins for 8 people but squished into 1 because both the security door and glass sliding door on the other cabin were damaged and would not lock. We felt unsafe in the area in general so this did not help. No linen or pillows were on the bunk beds but was given as requested. Probably wouldn't recommend this place if you have other options

• Drew (1/5): BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE - BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE. Irresponsible staff / management. Left us stranded outside for the night while we paid in full for the stay. Everything adverse. We were standed outside even though our late check-in was confirmed by Paul. No key left out in the key box. Incorrect pin number via booking confirmation. No one answered phone calls. Slept outside in car. We must be refunded in full. Why should we be charged for no accommodation.
• Prem (5/5): Passable - The cabin seems to be old, however, the cabin looks good n clean inside. The staff seems to be helpful. The environment looks cool, green and fresh. The blankets were dirty and feels like they have not been washed for a while. Literally, the blankets contained lots of hair from previous people stayed in that cabin.
