Guest Reviews
- Sherendee (3/5): Unfortunately, concerns about cleanliness meant that our stay did not meet expectations. - The location. The bedding and towels appeared not to have been changed following the previous guest's stay. The king-size bed linen had a strong, unpleasant odour reminiscent of a teenage boy's bedroom, while the single bed linen smelled strongly of aftershave. As a result, it did not appear that the bedding had been freshly laundered prior to our arrival, which was disappointing and raised concerns about the cleanliness of the apartment.
- Dan (10/5): Quiet well priced and comfy staff i spoke to were very helpful - Clean and tidy great size for price payed Nothing
- Craig (9/5): -
- Jelly (10/5): Very good price for a very clean and comfortable home. Didn’t want to leave the massive squishy bed - The score for cleanliness was lower than average on booking.com but the apartment was immaculate and the bedding smelt like heaven. Can’t actually think of anything at all. Was a lovely home from home and will definitely stay again
- Aman (8/5): -
- Amorelle (8/5): - Proximity & price.
Just above spoons.
Spacious flat.
Easy check in.
Good towels. Access a bit dodgy. Flies and cardboard by the main access door. Main area seen better days.
- Nicola (6/5): - Great location! Clean and tidy Little to expensive for what's on offer
- Boriss (5/5): Good place to crash if you have no high aesthetic requirements - Location is good. Price was fine. Quick response from owners/managers. No street parking nearby (not as described). Actual state is not as good as in pictures
- Eryk K (1/5): Serious concerns over legitimacy and safety - Nothing The property provided conflicting information regarding the damage deposit, with different amounts stated at different stages. I was also asked to send personal identification through an unsecured external email, which raised serious concerns about legitimacy and data safety. Overall, the experience felt unreliable and not in line with what I would expect when booking through a trusted platform.
- Filippo (5/5): -
- Luke (7/5): Great value! - Very central! Clean and tidy. Great value for money A few damages in the walls. Could use a touch up
- Jack (7/5): -
- Bethany (9/5): Great stay for one night overall - Lovely little apartment! Bathroom clean. Nice for an overnight stay. Great location. People were smoking weed and we could smell it from our room.
- Garret (10/5): - Great location directly across from Principality Stadium. Close to everything in Cardiff.
Had a great stay.
- Thaice (8/5): Recommended - Good hosts and fab apartment No carpark
- Sarah (7/5): -
- Rebecca (7/5): Convenient location and comfortable stay. - Clear check in/out instructions
Comfortable stay
Convenient location in centre of Cardiff
Lovely flat, clean Communal entrance unkempt
Would recommend duvets, pillows, bedding and mattress protector be replaced.
Parking on westgate street quite pricey
Steps to front of property not for people with mobility issues
- Jack (9/5): Very enjoyable and cozy, and an ideal location for anyone looking to stay and enjoy Cardiff - It was an ideal location making it very simple to get to places, with the trains station only being a 10 minute walk from stay it made things to much easier to navigate the city. I was pleasantly surprised as the photos don’t do the size justice I was amazed by the amount of space and extras that this property offered. I would 100% stay again I find it quite harsh saying a negative about the property although there was a homeless man camped in the doorway which made my mum feel quite intimidated but apart from that which is no fault of the property it was amazing

- marianne (3/5): Not an ideal stay - Nice space Dirty, feaces in the toilet left, bath was dirty and there was no hot water for a shower or bath.
- Richard A (10/5): -
- Langford (6/5): - Great location to all the attractions. Not easy to get into the building and no one answered when we called for help. It just went to voice mail. We had to wait till someone came out of the building to get in. Luckily we did not have to wait too long.
I guess it was more the fact that we could not contact anyone to help us, no support.
The room was basic, clean and tidy.
- Darren (6/5): -
- David (7/5): Great apart from beds - Property was well located clean and tidy had everything you would need The bed was really uncomfortable felt like was rolling off it all the time wife ended up in the single bed because off it also the hallway going to the rooms wasn’t in very good state which was very off putting as carpets were badly stained and dirty also smelled very fousty but once in room is lovely
- ALAN (6/5): Conference in Cardiff - Good location, good value , good instructions shower was excellent and there were all the required amenities in the kitchen area Hallway very dingy, tired and in fact dirty
Apartment was in need of some tlc to be honest
Bedding felt old
Could have been some tea , coffee and uht milk
- sana (8/5): -
- Sarah (8/5): Really nice apartment with great facilities in a fantastic location! - Great city centre location. Easy access and good facilities Definitely could have done with a better clean before we arrived. Half used drinks in fridge and floor needed a hoover.
- Arman (8/5): -
- Nicola (10/5): 👌👍 - Everything was perfect
- Samuel (8/5): -
- Jason (7/5): - The flat had all we needed for a one night stay & was clean & comfortable.
Was a couple of mins walk to the Stadium & pubs/Bars.
Key collection went well. It was well over priced but this is the price you pay, I guess, if Oasis are in town!!
- Zowie (6/5): Disappointed. - The bedding was very fresh and a lovely bed. The dirt, the broken handles, the building is slanted but probably the age and location? The lack of communication with the owner as we drove there and on arrival was asked for photo id and address which I don't carry with me normally so was pretty stressful as I booked many of times yet never asked this after check in. The veiw was probably 8ft by 16 wall to wall ... basically, it was a shit show from the moment I got there, but at least the bedding was clean. Tryed to call the owner on arrival, but i was cut off, and I understand ppl are busy, but I really did need a chat and needed tidy directions.
6/10 is my opinion, and the photos must have been taken years ago. We only wanted a bit of luxury after camping for a week, but I was so disappointed I was ready to leave.
Okay, if u just wanted to crash after a shopping spree and it did have all the cleaning products u need. Doors aren't safe as anyone could have walked in. Really, I feel bad for this review, but I'll always say how I find it.
- Maksym (10/5): -
- ramazan (7/5): Konumı güzel bir konaklama oldu - Konumu ve temizliği Yakında free park yeri yoktu
- Pamela (7/5): Great location , tidy and clean comfortable and reasonable price , parking expensive and stressful to get to - Location , clean everything we needed Parking expensive £30 for24 hours , no response from host until under an hour before arrival
- Clare (7/5): Nice to have the whole apartment but for the same price we could have stayed at a hotel with better facilities - Bathroom was spotless as was the bedding. It was cosy Kitchen needed a clean, tea, coffee & sugar canister were left almost empty and dirty and the room hadn’t been cleaned properly as there was rubbish left on the floor
- Gareth (10/5): -
- Diane (3/5): - Convenient for the event we attended at cardiff castle Communication was beyond poor, the number provided did not respond on the numerous times we attempted to contact them whilst we were outside the property trying to gain access. Stood in the rain with my mum who is disabled. There was a homeless man asleep on the doorstep which we had to step over when a resident kindly let us in through the front door.
The lift worked thankfully but was filthy and smelly.
After over an hour trying to contact someone for help, finally a lovely lady from customer service contacted us with the code we needed for the apartment, only to hear voices inside, we were then told we had been upgraded to a better apartment on a different floor which meant going back inside the lift of stink to another apartment which again, had people inside.
Another 15 minutes waiting around, busting for the toilet after travelling over 3 hours, we were told to head back down to the initial place where we entered the apartment, the stench of weed and voices led us to think there was a party going on inside onlynto find the windows were open over a courtyard to what I can only describe as a crown court yard.
Apartment had been cleaned but not to a standard we'd have desired but for 1 night we could live with it.
The previous people left behind some drinks in the fridge as well as a spillage
It was so hot that none of us had a great sleep and we were unable to open the windows due to the smell.
There were only 3 cups which meant one if us had a cup of tea in a plastic cup. Luckily we took our own tea bags as there was just one in the cannisters.
After the ramigeral of arrival we were late getting to the event which meant my mum who uses a wheelchair had restricted view.
I would not recommend this place and I definitely wont be booking again.
- Sarah (8/5): Very good -
- Nick (3/5): Poor -
- Dafydd (8/5): Nice apartment but nothing but hassle with the deposit payment back. Took 2 weeks to get my £300 back and only excuse to - Clean apartment and in a nice area Nothing
- Woodfield (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Craig (8/5): Very good -
- Peter (7/5): Good value - Great location. Good communication from the property managers. Good value Needs some maintenance work as many parts of the property are in need of repairs.
- Christopher (8/5): Very good -
- Catalin (5/5): Passable -
- Perry (9/5): Superb -
- Emma (10/5): Definitely worth a stay - Fantastic location and very helpful host, I had trouble with working out the WiFi, contacted the host and with some help I was able to connect. Very clean and everything you need there. Would definitely stay again.
- John (4/5): Book a branded hotel for a better more comfortable, easy access stay. - This is a very big space in a large old historic building right in the center of Cardiff - it has some very old basic facilities such as old oven, microwave and a fridge/freezer and washer-dryer. Arrival was a disaster. The owners stated that they sent me an email prior to arrival asking for photo identification. I have checked my email and spam - there was no such email. It took about an hour to "get in". The rooms are very basic and tired - stained furniture and old and basic. It was "clean" and the bed sheets were fresh. It is a very large but dark and quite cold apartment. I immediately turned on the radiators which took about 3 hours to warm the place. There is NOT parking free within 5 minutes walk - this is incorrect and also parking at the NCP Westgate costs £25 for 24 hours - so all in all it was better to book a known brand cheaper hotel with parking at £10.00
- Alison (3/5): Did not feel clean or safe, sadly will not stay at this location - Stains on the floor - had to clean up bits of balloons from the floor - towels, flannels had bleach type stains - pillow had brown stains !!! Quilt covers were not properly put on.
Vagrant on steps very close to main door, empty alcohol bottles, white substance and empty containers strewn over the steps.
Stained carpets on stairs
- Brian (5/5): It was ok - the apartment was good the wifi and the TV. I was unable to watch the TV and although I could connect to the wifi I couldn't do anything with it, Ie watch my rakurting movies, so I had to switch to my data roaming
- Hooper (8/5): Very good -
- Olha (6/5): Pleasant - The guests will definitely benefit from the location: close to High street with cafes, shops and main attractions The apartment is a bit worn, however everything functioned well. In general, the apartment looked nice and tidy, but impressions were spoilt by the oven with a thick layer of dust. We were suprised to see towels in the hallway on a coat hanger (while it is quite a usual practice to leave fresh towels on the bed or in the bathroom). Worst of all, they didn't look fresh (with hair and dirt).
- Phil (3/5): Disappointing for the money paid. - Great location for the rugby, only a 3 min walk to the stadium Wasn’t clean, ‘stuff’ on the floor in the living room and bath was dirty.
Even though we paid £30 to check in early and pay for a cleaning team and then had to strip the bed and put the rubbish by the door (so not sure what the cleaning team did for the additional £30 apart from change the bedding)
Didn’t look like the photos, bedding was well used.
- Sam (9/5): Superb - Excellent location and value.
- Alex (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jaz (9/5): Lovely apartment close to town centre! - Very spacious, clean and accommodation is very quiet :) Signs about bin were abit confusing and no parking but that was okay!
- Sami (7/5): Good -
- Florentina (10/5): Exceptional - Nice and clean apartment I am very happy and I will go back ☺️
- Debra (9/5): Perfectly located city centre apartment, comfy, has all the basics, we hope to stay again - Perfect location for a city centre stay, walking distance to train and bus stations and all central attractions. Location not in a noisy area. Secure access. We are a large family that cook a lot so a few more essentials in the kitchen would have been great, especially a large cooking pot but we managed. Most people wouldn't need this.
- Shahrah (6/5): It was a good overnight stay. - The location in the city centre was alright. Accessible to the places we wanted to go to. Has complete amenities you are going to need during your stay except for the parking. We felt safe with the fob automated doors. It is exactly as you it in the photos. Some of the plates, utensils and mugs were not washed clean (maybe from previous tenants, we dont know). Floor seems to be on a slope, my mom feels dizzy at times when walking around the place. Stairs going to the apartment was so dirty, good thing there was a working lift in the building which was clean. We did not find the place right away as there were a lot of scaffoldings in the nearby buildings. It was a bit flooded outside the building as well as it was raining when we were there. Parking wise, nearest was, we had to park across the building which is in Holiday Inn where we paid £16 for 24 hours.
- Kefyn (7/5): Good - Ease of property location close city centre.
Property has all whats needed for a stay including cutlery ans cooking equipment
Also lifts to room
- Claire (9/5): Booked for a worker who was very happy with this accommodation - Booked for a worker who was very happy with this accommodation. Very easy to access the accommodation
- Dafydd (8/5): Very good -
- Mccabe (6/5): City center appartment - Had every thing we could wanted especially weatherspoons next door for food will book again Bath n shower a bit grimy shelves in fridge door n salad compartment all cracked nothing that would stop me returning
- Jonathan (9/5): Superb -
- Jeff (6/5): Pleasant - No parking available, we were told it would be but not the case
- Janice (6/5): Pleasant - Excellent location, well equipped 0 Place could do with a deep clean although the beds and bedding were clean
- Sonal (9/5): nice place. would stay if did not have car. - Nice central location.
Spacious apartment.
Was easy to get too.
The host was easy to contact and also was quick to respond.
The place was well heated and sufficient bedding and linen. Only parking available was to pay which was quite expensive. I would check prices of parking before had and factor in.
Views from window was the adjacent wall of the building.
The bedroom seemed to be on a slope. I thought it was my eyesight failing but realised there was a slope. Not sure if there was structural issues - but it did not effect the stay.
I had an issue with the Wifi that I fixed with the hosts approval (removed power and sim card & replaced then powered back up.
Also could not get oven working when I went to use on last day. Tried everything the the host advised but failed. When I left the host did confirm it was working again.
- Kembery (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leung (7/5): Good - Location close to sightseeing spots and local shops
- Neil (8/5): Very good -
- David (5/5): Passable -
- Jack (10/5): Very helpful host , nice comfy property - Property is located right next to a wether spoons so was nice to be able to grab breakfast upon checkout
- Paul (9/5): A very conveniently located property at a good price. It made a good base for our short stay. - We were in Cardiff for the cricket at Sophia Gardens so the property was very convenient for that and also close to the town centre. It would also be extremely handy if there to watch the Rugby!! The only gripe is not with the host, it was that the email confirming access details didnt actually arrive on my phone until after we had accessed the property, thanks to a helpful couple of phone calls with the owner.
- Nigel (5/5): Served it’s purpose as an overnight stop - Location & communication from the owner. This property is dated.
The sofa had stains on the cushions, table was broken, which was reported to the owner and acknowledged.
Everything just looked a bit tired & grubby.
- Lilly (10/5): Lovely place to stay - Easy check in, host was very prompt with replying. The location is perfect for city centre stays, 2 min walk to the main high street. The apartment was nicer than the photos with new furnishings. Would definitely visit again if I'm ever back in the area
- Handa (7/5): Good -
- Chantelle (10/5): Exceptional - It was complete apartment owner was very nice an it was central to everything I loved it all
- Elangkumaran (6/5): Pleasant -
- Nia (5/5): Good spot but needed a good deep clean and a few things needed updating - Comfy lots of room for people to sleep Not very clean, someone’s hair shavings left in the bathroom and no working internet when we got there
- Fatemah (7/5): Good -
- Tim (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, helpful host.
- Youdhveer (7/5): Value for money, good location, you can enjoy beautiful evening by walk, drink and fun. - Bathroom, air exhaust should work.
