Guest Reviews
- George (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (9/5): Superb - Large garden, good location, good private parking
- Rachel (9/5): Lovely stay will definitely look to stay again on our next visit to the area. - The location was perfect, the garden was amazing for our dog and the layout of the property was spot on. The stepless access and bathroom was perfect for my mum who has recently broken her pelvis. The heating wasn’t explained to us and was well hidden so we was cold on a night for the first 5 nights until the owner came back to me on how to turn it on.
- Corina (10/5): I m glad i chose millfields cottage. The place is amazing. - The garden is really big, the mattress are so comfy, owner is so nice, the area is so quiet. The kitchen have everything you need. To many towels. We really love the place. Also we wanted to check out at 11 am and the host let us which denotes that the host is a good person. My daughter was so happy when she found o the kitchen worktop the treats and chips. I do like everything. Maybe if the cottage gets a painting refresh it will be better for all guests. It don't bother me personally.
- Denisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Judith (10/5): A lovely place to stay with everything you could need. - It was a great place for us to stay to visit family nearby. The house is in its own grounds. The younger member particularly appreciated the chocolate biscuits, crisps and sweeties! A full hospitality tray was also included - even bottled water - and loads of toilet rolls, which is always rare at self-catering!
- Peter (10/5): Wonderfull - The space All good
- Alexandru (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - This was our second stay. What a great find. Clean well set out accommodation and a lovely garden. We enjoyed relaxing in the garden with our dogs and then having food from a nice local chippy. Nothing
- Mark (10/5): Lovely property loads of space and a large garden. Quiet area - Lovely property. Clean, well furnished and loads of space. Lovely gardens and plenty of parking. Within walking distance of a COOP and nice chippy. Nothing
- Jemma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (1/5): Please avoid at all costs, this property is not fit for rental for neither a short period or longer term stay - Lovely setting The property is not fit to be let.
There is a serious health and safety risk both internally due mould issues resulting in mushrooms growing in one of the bedrooms plus old wood and other garden rubbish externally which is a danger to children/pets.
Worrying the owner did not want to take responsibility and attempted to blame a leak from the shower on mushrooms sprouting overnight…
Absolutely shocking behaviour and not what we expect when using booking.com and spending so much money on the stay.
The cleanliness was also an issue which the owner is fully aware of along with the damp/mould as advised by her handyman.
- Andrew (8/5): Very good - The location was great, close to work. Large garden, not enclosed yet but enough space for my kids to run around. House was well stocked, host was great, She was easy to get a hold of if any problems. Good sized rooms with lots of storage for clothes. The house needs decoration updating, ie kitchen doors, stains from old water damage. The roof started leaking during our stay but the host did everything she could to make our stay great. House was clean and tidy but some of the kitchen utensils and crockery needed another clean before using.
- Teresa (10/5): Lovely Cottage I Wouldn't Mind Having Myself! - I loved everything, big rooms, plenty of space and storage, gardens really big and very well kept with a beautiful variety of trees, dog loved running around out there, lovely comfortable conservatory, private parking, not overlooked, beds very comfy, lots of blankets provided if needed, bathroom is beautiful with both bath one end and wet room type shower the other, Maria was outstanding, amazing and very helpful. Always replied to message in reasonable time if not immediately. Staying there again in August. Lovely cottage. Wish it was mine! No gate or fencing to the right as you look at the cottage so dogs can get out and run in the road, not sure if any gaps in surrounding fencing in back garden, shame because i couldnt let my dog run around feely, hole in top of wardrobe across bed in room beside lounge, bad reception/signal on tv it kept going off alot when watching something. Maria, any possibility you could get the fence put up so my dog can run around next time please lol.
- Kurt (10/5): Home from home relaxing place to stay. - Was in a lovely quiet location perfect for me and my family. Cottage had everything we need. Maria was a great host we did not meet her but she text me the day before to tell me nobody was in the day before so even said we could come the night before free of charge what I have never had of any body any where.
We will definitely be back again as it is near my autistic son college what is a 80mile drive every day back and forth so from 35 minutes each way to 5 minutes. When the garden fence is finished to make the back garden secure is the only thing but that is only because our son is severely autistic if it was just me and my wife it would not bother me.
- Rose (9/5): Superb - Very welcoming cottage, beautiful garden & comfortable beds!
- Vicky (6/5): Pleasant - Spacious detached house on 1 level
Comfortable beds.
Garden.
Owner extended our check out time. Honest review.
The house wasn't very clean.
Shower didn't drain properly.
Noise from house builders next door.
Very unsafe for pets/children as house is on a very busy road and grounds are not enclosed.
Owner suggested we had taken a book after she did an extensive inventory after we vacated.
- Rachael (10/5): Exceptional - The cottage is set on a main road with a lovely surrounding garden, it was easy enough to find from the instructions given. I was only there for one night so didn't explore too much. It was nice to have the comforts of a cottage, rather than a hotel room.
