- Greg (9/5): Damn good. - Huge generous range of food opportunities. Fruits, drinks cereals, breads were fine. Perhaps a larger fridge.
And ice for drinks was not possible.
Unique pool. SO comfortable. Large rear pool area for games on table.
Plenty of chairs. The back' veranda was very welcome.

- Barry (10/5): Beautiful place. - Very comfortable and roomy accommodation. Loved the sauna, dual private outdoor baths, and pool. Nicely decorated and generous sweet treats provided. Super friendly host. Close to picturesque Mapleton Falls and short drive to Montville Village specialty shops, art galleries, and restaurants. We unfortunately had very wet weather during our stay and it would have been nice to have a clothes airer to help dry swim wear and towels. Very small TV.
- Keisha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jo (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was spacious and spotlessly clean. It had beautiful views and was only a couple of minutes away from the waterfall walk. The bed was extremely comfortable. The pool was very close and had amazing views. The apartment was aircondtioned and fully screened and had a lovely outdoor seating area near the BBQ. We watched a spectacular sunset from the lounge. Renee, the hostess, was very friendly and helpful, and even gave me a beautiful gift on departure! I would definitely stay here again. There are several different apartments that are quite separate from one another. There is no freezer section in the bar fridge.
- Holly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Judy (10/5): My Happy Place - I love staying here. So peaceful and relaxing. Renee is the best Hostess. Fantastic views. Facilities are excellent. Love swimming in the pool.
- Judy (10/5): Great getaway for our girls weekend. Will go back with the hubby. - Perfect location for relaxation. Beautiful scenery. The host is helpful, friendly and attentive. What a gorgeous apartment and the magnesium pool was soooo lovely. Had to leave :(
- Tammie (10/5): Exceeded our expectations! - We had a wonderful stay at Mahalo, from the little touches to making us feel completely at home, Rennee was nothing but welcoming and thoughtful from the moment we arrived and she truly went the extra mile to ensure we had the most amazing stay. The property was very clean and relaxing with the most fabulous views. We will be back for sure.
- Chelsea (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful location and the apartment was fantastic clean and very comfortable and had everything you needed for your stay. Renee couldn't of been more helpful and just a beautiful person all round and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect â€ïž will be going back again for sure.
- Judy (9/5): Superb -
- Garry (6/5): Enjoyed the location, a few changes would make it really nice. The manager/ owner was very helpful and informative. - Extremely comfortable bed, lovely views, very well stocked kitchen Too much furniture made it feel cramped. Too many Knick knacks taking up space on tables. Not much water pressure in shower. Tv access could be better.
Definitely need a curtain on the sliding door.
- Graham (10/5): An exceptional stay at the House of Mahalo! - A beautifully presented, well appointed and very clean property with fantastic views. Some of the outstanding features included an extremely comfortable bed, 2 great baths and a large shower with a large rose shower head and a beautiful clean pool with modern sauna. The host, Renee is a delightful lady that was always âat the readyâ to make our stay relaxed and wonderful. Thank you Renee, we fully intend to return. đ There was nothing we didnât like!
- Taylor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rachel (10/5): Super comfortable accommodation with amazing views and warm, friendly host - We had a lovely 2-night stay at Mahalo. We were greeted by the very friendly (and multi-talented!) host, Rennee, and loved the cosy accommodation with a huge comfy bed, large dining, cosy sofas, practical kitchen, balconies with amazing views, two baths to relax, and of course - the sauna, which was very much loved for unwinding. The views and bird sounds from the accommodation just added to the magic! It was perfect for what we needed; we wanted an accommodation that had the usual sleeping/eating areas, but very importantly, a comfortable enough living area where we could sit, chat and discuss. Thank you Rennee for your kind hospitality in letting us borrow your HDMI cable for the weekend, and also the lovely treats on our departure! It was perfect! Thank you
- Nathan (8/5): Very good -
- Sabreena (10/5): Perfect serenity to relax and recharge - The property was spotless and had everything we needed for a home away from home stay. The bed was amazingly comfortable, the heating was very efficient, the breakfasts were very generous and we really enjoyed having full Foxtel. The hostess could not have been more helpful sending us ideas to spend our day and making us feel welcome and at home. Due to the cold weather we werenât able to use the stunning pool or the delightful outdoor twin bath tubs. The scenery is awe inspiring and the area was very quiet. This relaxing stay was exactly what we needed after a hectic few months. Nothing
- Gregory (9/5): Superb -
- Rebecca (10/5): Thank you so much for your hospitality and for a wonderful time at your house. I truly appreciate your kindness and gene - Close to everything we needed. Best sleep ever. Never have I slept on a bed as good as my own
- Ruby (7/5): While the property itself is nice with a great view, our experience was marred by some peculiarities - The property has a fantastic view and is right next to Mapleton Falls National Park. The pool, outdoor baths, and sauna were enjoyable. There was a lingering scent on the nightgown and sheets, suggesting they might not have been freshly washed when we checked in. Additionally, the owner requested that we make the bed before checking out, which added to this feeling.
Despite the beautiful pool, the owner locked the gate before our departure, so we couldn't use it on our last day. Furthermore, we found expired bread in the fridge for breakfast.
Upon arrival, we informed the owner in the early afternoon that we wanted to book the sauna. She instructed us to text her, but didn't respond until the following morning. Unfortunately, the wifi password wasn't provided in the accommodation, and despite attempts to contact her via text, phone call, doorbell, and through booking.com, I couldn't use the sauna and couldn't access the wifi until the next day.
Before our departure, the owner texted me and mentioned 'Please make the bed before leaving...... I will take a video of the apartment after you leave , my sons judge the videos and score the guests & winner is announced on our FB page July 1st . You can win a weekend back at either of our bnbâs for being the most mindful group !'
Lastly, there wasn't a hair dryer available in the accommodation, so it's advisable to bring your own.
- Debbie (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, comfortable and private. Renee is a warm and friendly host and had thought of all the things! We would love to return and explore more of the area. We only stayed 1 night!
- Grainne (10/5): Peaceful and pretty - The room was comfortable and clean. We had a great nightâs sleep and were able to de-stress after a bit of a stressful week! We loved the double bath and the view, and seeing the birds fly past.
- Janet (9/5): Superb -
- Jemma (10/5): Perfect beyond a doubt - My husband and I sought a brief respite from parental duties for a couple of nights, and we found it at this delightful retreat. I adored every aspect of the place - from its cozy comfort and secluded ambiance to the breathtaking view it offered. Having stayed at numerous accommodations in the area, I can confidently say that this was, without a doubt, the finest experience we've had. That I couldnât stay longer
- Judy (10/5): Exceptional - Mahalo B and b is in a beautiful place in Queensland. Peaceful and relaxing with a lovely hostess. Everything you need for a great break away can be found here Nothing not to like.
- Ming (9/5): Exceptional value! - Very good location and very well equipped. Spacious room, comfy bed and sofa bed. The host very thoughtful and passionate. One of the sliding door and a window has no curtains to make the room completely dark for people very sensitive to light.
- Jessica (10/5): Beautiful Mountainous Oasis - Beautiful Mountainous Oasis
Warm reception from the wonderful owner, Renee. This is a hostess who has poured her heart into the property.
We stumbled upon this gem after our camp site was flooded. From the minute we arrived, we knew this was a great decision. Renee welcomed us with opened arms, and the downstairs room was named after one of her sons and very clean and well equipped.
The fridge was full of complimentary breakfast items, including plenty of milk for coffee, fresh fruit, biscuits, bread, and other condiments.
The layout was spacious and private, and the views were stunning.
We awoke to the beautiful sounds of nature and fresh mountainous air.
The national park is literally a 5 min walk down the street.
The tiny details that are often missed, such as extra toothpaste, adequate toilet paper, and extra coffee pods, were not missed here.
Renee provided us with free coffee vouchers for a cafe down the road. Community spirit is right on point here.
We soaked outside on the deck in the two outdoor bath tubs provided in complete bliss.
Renee even provided us a lovely bottle of gris on our way out!
Thank you, Renee. Your service and energy put into your wonderful business is absolutely gold.
Highly recommend. Do yourself a favour and check this place out. Nothing!
- Donna (10/5): Beautifully decorated, incredibly comfortable place in a peaceful stunning location - We loved our mid week getaway to Mapleton. House of Mahalo BnB was a gorgeous place to stay - great peaceful location, with everything you need. Rennee was a wonderful thoughtful host - thank you for everything. We will definitely be back!
- James (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing location just 2 minutes walk to Mapleton Falls National Park, the accommodation was excellent, with everything we needed in a setting that was spectacular. Renee is an excellent host, who made sure we were totally happy with our stay.
- Mala (10/5): A little slice of peaceful hinterland paradise - The bed was extremely comfortable, the small touches were notable and it was beautiful
- Carolle (9/5): a relaxing time and great spot lovely host. - In the perfect spot. Lovely views. Central to all waterfalls and lovely scenic drives.
- Terrie (8/5): It was a last minute booking for us and it was perfect for a quiet night away! We loved it! - The twin baths on the balcony were amazing! Huge comfy bed, really lovely for a couple wanting a quiet night away. If youâre not planning on going anywhere itâs perfect! Itâs just a little bit out in the middle of nowhere.
- Edward (4/5): Disappointing. A self catered flat, rather than traditional bed and breakfast. - The situation is pleasant with some views over the valley from the patio. The accommodation was fairly spacious. The bed was comfortable. This is not what we expect from a property advertised as bed and breakfast. It is actually a self catering flat, with some very basic food provisions, some of which were out of date on our arrival. The owner is vegan, so there was no butter and yogurt provided, only a minimal quantity of milk, some supermarket bread, and only four small apples as fruit for our four day stay. Our first move was a trip to the local shop to supplement what had been supplied. It rather emphasised the lack of breakfast service to be told we should wash up our own pots to leave the kitchen as we had found it! The room had no wardrobe or other hanging space, and no hairdryer was available. The price, paid up front, was the most expensive of our two week holiday. Overall a most disappointing experience.
- Natasha (10/5): Exceptional - Rennee is a thoughtful, kind, social and hospitable host. There were so many thoughtful touches such as the selection of teas, bath bombs/salts, candles, diffusers, insect repellent etc. She even made sure I had vegan breakfast and snack options and bought me down some special vegan treats for me to try!
The property is even better than the pictures. The styling/decor had attention to detail down to the taps. Rennee certainly has an eye for it!
The location was awesome. You really feel tucked away in nature and listening to the sounds of the Australian bush really gave our family a sense of peace of serenity.
I also really liked the surrounding towns to explore. Would definitely recommend having a look around the array of shops and businesses in the area. And donât forget to explore the bush and natural surroundings of the area. If youâre an avid hiker, bring some good shoes and gear as Mapleton Falls is right at your doorstep!
- Xmenvn3010 (10/5): A beautiful house in a spectacular location and a wonderful host makes it a weekend to remember... H - A beautiful house in a spectacular location and a wonderful host makes it a weekend to remember... Highly recommended.. Will definitely be back.. None..
- William (10/5): Exceptional stay! đ€© Do not hesitate! - After a very warm welcome from the host Renee we we're thrilled at how beautiful this place truly is! The accommodations, decor and amenities are just perfect with everything available for a perfect stay! The views from the balcony are unsurpassed and the pool is very welcoming after a day on the trails! đ We are already making time to stay here again - hiking trail is a 5 minute walk away and anything extra you might need is only a 5 minute drive into town .. and the scenery is to die for! After 2 nights we felt refreshed and revived as Renee waved us goodbye - we cannot wait to stay here again! Thanks Renee! Only that we didn't stay longer!
- Eleanor (10/5): This is a must-stay location. The view, host and cost are fantastic for the quality you receive! - The property was spotless and has everything we needed. Renee has left no stone unturned. The decor & location were one of a kind! Thereâs nothing wrong with this property - I couldnât give it a single fault if I tried!
- Fia (8/5): Very good -
- Ellie (10/5): Exceptional - The location is stunning đ and the owner operator made our stay as easy and relaxing as possible
- NĂșria (10/5): Perfect weekend away to disconnect and relax. - We loved how quiet and private it was. Also, how peaceful and all the facilities you can use. Renee is a wonderful host and she made sure we had the most authentic and amazing time for my partnerâs birthday weekend away. It was beautiful to hear the birds all the time. We enjoyed having a relaxing bath whilst raining first thing in the morning. Like a dream!
We had the best recovery for our bodies after a long walk, using the pool, infrared sauna and having a relaxing meal at the bbq.
The place is near some restaurants and also and IGA. The best part is: you can walk from the property to all the hikes around the area with beautiful views.
The fridge was full of snacks and food which was a really nice surprise! My partner received a bottle of sparkling wine to celebrate his birthday. We had it watching at the stars. It was simply a wonderful experience to disconnect and enjoy the beauty of nature.
Thank you so much Renee! đ We loved everything!
- Irene (10/5): It was perfect and amazing experience. - The breakfast location and menu was perfect. The staff was so friendly. None it was perfect.
- Andrew (10/5): Stayed a couple of nights and loved it! - Wonderful location, very well stocked breakfast and snacks.
- Adelina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sherwin (10/5): Most magnificent setting and unrivalled experience - As a professional athlete and businessman, Iâve been fortunate to travel to over 100 countries in my life. I say this with all conviction and sincerity, House of Mahalo Air BnB is quite possibly the finest, most emphatically incredible experience Iâve had anywhere in the world. I was simply blown away by the quality of the experienced founded primarily on the immensely compelling, unrivalled, unequivocal level of service from the staff and their most precious of lifestyleâs that they each lead. A beautiful family-oriented business that I simply cannot wait to return to In hindsight, I wish I booked a longer stay so the only thing I didnât like was the departure. It made me sad!!!
- Taylor-mae (10/5): Perfect weekend away. - From arrival to departure, everything was spot on. The host was wonderful - so friendly, polite, and thoughtful. All of the little touches were so appreciated too - such as the fridge stocked with breakfast essentials, and all of the toiletries in the bathroom. I especially loved how environmentally and sustainability conscious this property is.
For us though, the highlight was the location. We were in the perfect spot for all of the plans that we had, and the VIEW from the balcony was just spectacular. There was honestly nothing that we didn't like about our stay. We seriously could not fault anything.
- Kim (10/5): My tranquil get away - The location, the peace and tranquillity of looking out onto the Conondale mountain range... The spacious living, eating and sleeping areas, are all emmaculate and well kept, surrounded by a large balcony overlooking tranquil gardens, with 2 outdoor baths to help you restore and relax... The Kingsize Bed is ultra comfortable to sleep in, as well as the large very comfortable sofa bed... There is so much space and great taste with all the decorative pieces in this apartment...
The kitchen and bathroom are both large and spacious, with plenty of kitchen appliances to use, and the bathroom comes with hair products, body wash and hand soap, which are all natural and environmentally friendly... Renee is the perfect host, making you feel comfortable and accommodating to all your dietary needs... She also gives you free coffee vouchers to use at some of the very yummy local cafes and restaurants nearby....
Also there is an Infared Sauna where you can sit quietly and listen to your choice of music, while Renee brings you some refreshing herbal tea... Mahalo will leave you feeling very refreshed, relaxed and recharged from your stay....
- Aiden_w (10/5): Amazing location, friendly host, excellent accommodation, will 100% be back, can't recommend enough. - The location was amazing. It had the most beautiful view from the deck. The house itself was great, very spacious and was fully stocked with everything that you need for a weekend or week away. The host was extraordinarily friendly and did everything possible to make sure we had the best stay. Would 100% recommend staying here and we will be staying here again.
- Jackie (10/5): Exceptional - Everything about the place was beautiful. Great getaway location. The view was amazing, quite and peaceful. Grocery, shops and restaurants were not too far and easy to get to by car.
Our hostess was so lovely and was always quick to help out and went out of her way to help us with anything. So many things you could do whether it was to swim in the pool, take a relaxing outside bath, sit by the campfire or enjoy yourself in the sauna, i was very impressed and satisfied.
Definitely alot of thought and care went in to prepare the rooms for guests, as you were given a nice range of bath salts, shampoo and conditioner and other toiletries. The same could be said about the kitchen, a nice selection in the fridge for breakfast and tea.
We'd absolutely like to stay there again!
- Jackie, Mahala & Chloe There is nothing that we disliked.
- Virginia (10/5): A peaceful relaxing couple of days. - Breakfast was adequate for our needs. The location was spectacular, quiet and peaceful with lots of birdsong. We have no complaints.
- Sheelagh (10/5): Exceptional - Renee has thought of anything. A slice of heaven surrounded by rainforest and stunning views. Loved the outdoor baths and sauna too. Soooo relaxing. Loved it. Loved it all.
- Sean. (10/5): Exceptional - Host was very welcoming and the destination was perfect! I would definitely recommend đ
- Alex (10/5): Will definitely be back in the future, itâs a perfect and peaceful getaway - The views from the deck were amazing, as well as the beautiful interior and all the extra touches such as the food in the fridge and the amenities in the bathroom
- Stephanie (10/5): Enjoyed the stay, would recommend if coming up to Mapleton. - Reception was very friendly. Facilities were super nice. It was a nice feature that everything was off the grid. Definitely enjoyed the double patio bath tubs with a sunset view. Would recommend to others if visiting the area, especially with Mapleton National Park just down the road that has a nice lookout. Due to being off the grid, there was the sceptic tank smell on the balcony during times. However the room was provided with a number of scented incenses which covered it up when required.
- Terry (8/5): Very good -
- Melissa (9/5): Amazing Host! Comfortable stay with relaxing views. - Hospitality went above and beyond to ensure we had an enjoyable and relaxing stay. After hiking 20+ km it was the perfect place to unwind and take in the stunning surrounds. Facilities were fantastic. Excellent location to local restaurants/cafes, and to enjoy the many outdoor activities the area provides.
Thank you for the friendly hospitality, especially the excellent dinner recommendation! We look forward to our return stay.
- Tom (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jenny (8/5): Beautiful place to stay with a stunning view. - There was a couple of options for breakfast including toast and cereals, milk choices, which were great.
The packaged snacks were a thoughtful inclusion, although were a little out of date.
The bed was really comfortable and the facilities were excellent. Outdoor twin baths a nice inclusion! Needs to have bedside lights.
- Ben (10/5): Fantastic stay. Will be back! - Everything was fantastic. We were provided for above and beyond expectations. Super friendly and accommodating for us. Nothing
- Lyndal (7/5): Good - view and bed
- Joan (10/5): Relaxing Stay. - What a beautiful place, the surroundings were absolutely amazing and the accommodation was very comfortable. We so enjoyed the outdoor baths.
Very friendly Host. Thank you for your hospitality, we'll definitely be back, and recommend to friends. The sunset was amazing even though it was overcast. We didn't want to leave.
