- Susan (10/5): - Clean, modern and spacious home, close to the town of Matlock. Nothing!
- Wendy (9/5): Perfect location for exploring the area. - Great location, easy access to Matlock . Quiet.
- Debra (10/5): This property is outstanding! They really have thought of everything ! - Everything!! The location was fantastic. The decor stunning. Lovely outside area very nice. Bed very comfortable. The hosts have thought of everything. You don’t need to take anything other than food and drink! The welcome gifts are a cute touch. Cant think of anything!

- Nicola (10/5): We had a very enjoyable stay at olive cottage - We loved the position of where it’s situated in lovely surroundings, very well laid out, everything you need is there, the garden is lovely with the lights m, it was lovely and quiet The bathroom having to leave the window open we couldn’t close the bathroom door as the wind would make it bang which would wake us up, the brown sofa is extremely low down and you sink into it making it difficult to get back up, these are 2 points don’t take away from what is a lovely cottage .
- derek (10/5): A fantastic weekend with friends. Everything was catered for - Such a comfortable warm inviting house. Great location Well appointed Matt and Amanda attention to detail was fantastic would stay again definitely No zero aspects at all
- Emma (9/5): - Spotlessly clean and comfortable cottage, so cosy. Great location. Lovely stay! Nothing
- jenny (9/5): Meeting up with friends in Matlock. Fitted my needs exactly. - Great walks for dog nearby. Enclosed garden.

- RACHEL (10/5): - Even before we arrive the hosts were incredibly helpful and responded very quickly to any question with a "nothing is too much trouble" attitude.
The cottage was extremely clean and everything thought of and catered for. A wonderful hamper greeted us when we arrived and clear details of how to use facilities etc. Nothing to dislike 🥰
- John (10/5): A much needed rest after health problems and a change of scenery. - The location was brilliant from our point of view, the impression of being in the countryside yet only a few minutes walk away from the heart of Matlock, a lovely walk on a nice day, weather wise, very enjoyable. There was nothing or anything we could say we didn't like, for us it was perfect,
- Sonia Reay (10/5): Great cottage! - This place is amazing, so we'll equipped you couldn't wish for more. The location is just right for a walk into Matlick centre, but far out enough that it is quiet and relaxing. Will definitely be going back 😍 Nothing

- liz (10/5): - The cottage was in a quiet and very pretty location, but not far from town, so we were able to walk in and out. We also took the short walk to the Lumsdale waterfall, which was nice. The cottage itself was beautifully decorated and furnished, very cosy and comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. Our hosts were very helpful and available if we needed anything. We would definitely recommend Olive Cottage.

- Jonathan (10/5): Really nice cottage, well equipped, clean and tidy - Olive Cottage offers a cosy stay, well equipped, clean and tidy
- Rebecca (10/5): Stunning property, fabulous owners, great location! - The property is in a beautiful picturesque location with fabulous walks straight from the door. It is stylishly decorated and the furniture has been curated to be both functional and beautiful. The garden is lovely and spacious and very secure which was fantastic for our two small dogs who enjoyed sunbathing on the decking. The off road parking was a huge bonus and the keypad entry made life so much easier. The owners were friendly and very communicative and the welcome basket and doggy supplies were a very useful and thoughtful touch. We would definitely recommend this property if you are in the Matlock area and we hope to return again next time we are in Derbyshire. The property has amazing double glazing which completely sound proofs the house however there is some traffic noise when outside in the garden. This did not affect our enjoyment of our stay at all though and would not put us off returning or recommending.
- Alison (10/5): Exceptional -
- Angela (9/5): Stayed 2 nights with a friend for a catch up - Excellent location right on the edge of the town. Quiet, excellent facilities, plenty of crockery, glasses etc, comfy beds and pillows, really clean throughout, large bath towels, keyless entry, plenty of parking available. If you bring a dog there's a lovely welcome basket for them as well as one for the humans. Lovely enclosed outdoor space to relax in. Very minor details, the chairs in the lounge weren’t v comfy, a small second sofa would be better, and some cushions for the dining chairs - but that’s just a little thing.
TV is a SMART tv so not able to channel hop v easily. But great selection of apps to choose from.
- Justyna (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location, a lot of attractions nearby.
Very clean house and nice hosts.
- Sian (10/5): Great cottage in a great location - We had a lovely time staying at Olive Cottage. It had everything we needed and more and was in a great location so we could easily walk down into Matlock town. We asked the hosts for some recommendations and they gave us a good list. We opted to do the Lumsdale Waterfall walk, which is right on the cottage's doorstep, and then another day we drove to Cromford and did a walk there and also went along the canal, it was beautiful and we were so lucky with the weather. The hosts also recommend a lovely little bar called Taproom just down the lane from the cottage so we visited there and tried some of the beers, so good! Thanks to Matt & Amanda for all the recommendations and a great place to stay. 😄
- Ellen (10/5): Lovely house in a very convenient location. - House was perfect for a weekend catching up with friends. It was also a great space for our two dogs who were very happy with the space downstairs and loved the closed off outside area. House was beautifully clean and the kitchen was very well stocked with anything we needed. The living room is also very cosy.
- Smith (10/5): Like a home from home - The facilities are fabulous! Was really like a home from home. The location was great too, lots of lovely walks and pubs around
- Angela (10/5): All good - Clean and cosy. Everything we needed A bit chilly first night but we did go in extreme weather
- James (10/5): Really enjoyed our stay and didn’t want to leave. One of the best cottages we have stayed at and would definitely recomm - Lovely clean and decorative cottage with excellent facilities and the welcome pack was a nice touch. Only one dog allowed
- Emily (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joseph (5/5): A little underwhelming and overpriced - Friendly owners , lovely little house , great location, small things thought of washing up liquid ,toilet roll etc etc . Everything is close by and it's a great walking place . Very uncomfortable double bed and pillows I left with neck ache . Didn't like the fact it had a ring doorbell felt it was an invasion of privacy. Didn't like it was in a residential setting as the neighbours were so noisy and walls were thin . Although it felt quite homely there were things to remind us that it is owned by somebody else like the cupboards with locks on , the switches blocked off and camera in the garden . 10am check out as well for a holiday cottage is very early . When we got back from daily trips we had no TV to watch as none of the channels worked there was no Ariel , I tried to install channels but nothing worked . I used the apps such as iPlayer but the internet was poor so it kept pausing . And we set the heating to 20 but come morning it turned itself off so it was freezing .
- Katie (10/5): Fantastic few days away 😊 - Everything, location, cosy, everything you need Nothing
- Judith (9/5): Peaceful, we had a wonderful time and hope to stay again. - It is utterly gorgeous and in a great location for walking and Peak District tourist visits. Three single beds for three children in one room - finding this is like finding a unicorn and it made our children’s stay so much happier. Love the area outside with the lights too.
- Richard (8/5): Very good -
- Michelle (9/5): Superb - Beautiful well resourced
- Lee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kieran (9/5): Perfect getaway base - The location was brilliant as a base for our excursions throughout the region. It was very aesthetically pretty with little nods to the local area which was very welcoming. The gift hamper was a lovely touch.
- Heather (10/5): A beautiful stay in the peaks - Clean, tidy, modern & full of everything you would ever need for a short break
- Copley (10/5): Great value, great property, great location - Clean

- Anna (10/5): Exceptional - Very cosey, great communication, child friendly and lots of nice walks close by
- Sheila (9/5): Nice stay in a lovely cottage. - lovely cottage with everything you need. A snack box was left and a doggie treat, also towel/bowl/pooh bags for our dog which was a nice touch. Very quiet area. Hosts communicative. Enjoyed our stay. These are not negative comments just suggestions for the future.
A brighter light in the bathroom is needed for shaving as light is behind you so quite dark. A bit confusing with the rubbish removal as not sure which bin was which.
- Gemma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nik (10/5): Exceptional - Great location and had all of the amenities. The complimentary snack box was a nice touch and the garden area was a really nice spot to relax in the evening. Nothing.
- Pat (10/5): Wonderful accommodation everything you could possibly need wish we’d stayed longer! - Clean tidy excellent location and very helpful owners Nothing
- Jane (10/5): A stylish, well equipped cottage with a great location for walking in the Matlock area. - Olive Cottage was stylish, comfortable and in a great location. It was a short walk to the Lumsdale waterfalls and into Matlock for the parks. There are interesting walks in town and to Matlock Bath with some great scenic views on the hill tops. All good for us.
- Louise (10/5): Great cottage, lovely area and great hosts. Thank you! - Lovely home, great surroundings and a lovely hamper left by the hosts. Great communication!! Nothing
- James (10/5): Excellent and will definitely go back! - Accommodation was homely with everything we needed, very comfortable and in a great location. It was so peaceful and quiet there too whilst only a short walk to the village. Nothing at all.
- Alison (9/5): Great cottage close to pubs and walking. - Lovely cottage close to Matlock. Lovely interior and patio garden. Beautifully kept. Thoughtful little touches everywhere. Highly recommend. Nothing
