- Panagiotis (9/5): Cozy Village House - Great Hospitality - Excellent hospitality from the owners. We have never experienced so far such a warm welcoming! The house is very cozy. It is located in a nice and calm village. The house is fully packed with any amenities one can imagine. We were a group of 4 people and it was a great stay for all of us. As noted by others, the bathroom gets heated from the living room and does not have a heat source of its own, but that was not a problem for us. If you leave the bathroom door open, the heat from the living room spreads inside, but it needs some time.
Also, be aware that if you plan to go to Pavliani during wet season, the road from Koumaritsi to Pavliani cannot be crossed without a 4x4 off-road vehicle, due to some slippery mud spots that are located along the road where a typical vehicle can easily get stuck. The alternative is to go around, which is a 1 hour trip. This does not have to do with the accommodation per se, but it is just a tip.
- Sokratis (8/5): Very good - It's a very cute amd cozy village house, but with some very welcoming modern infrastructure, like aluminium windows and doors. Most pieces of equipment were new, like the coffee machine, the kitchen, tv etc Bathroom was also newly built. The location is in a small, quiet village on the mountain with stunning view to the valley which can be enjoyed from various spots around the village.
Our guests were a very polite couple, willing to assist us at all times. Our communication was always immediate. They provided us a lot of consumables for free, like local wine, honey, coffee, herbs from the mountain, hand made sweets and more. It has a lot of windows which provide sufficient light but you won't see any special view from inside the house. The view can be enjoyed from outside the house, the valley is visible from the front porch.
Another minor inconvenience was that the bathroom was very cold during the winter. Even though the rest of the house had a lot of options for successfully heating the place, like electric blankets, aircondtion and a wood burning stove, we never managed to make the bathroom feel warm. Water for shower was hot though, so once you let it run it felt a little better.
