- Juliette (9/5): A little slice of heaven ! - The location, the simplicity, the hosts. Such a paradise ! The place is great and the beach is beautiful with clear water and lots of fishes. I didn’t care but some people might not like the shared bathrooms or the lack of air conditioning.

- myngo (9/5): - El personal
- Davide (9/5): - A unique and peaceful location with a stunning view from the mirador terrace. Best of all, you can enjoy the beach just for yourself in the early morning and late afternoon, once the daily tourist boats leave Food choices are somewhat limited and portions on the smaller side
Y amamos a Naydu y David!
- Juliet (9/5): Beauty and authenticity - The charm of the accommodation lies not only in the beauty of the place. It is essentially accommodation with a local family. This is reflected in their huge hospitality. We enjoyed our stay very much and recommend it to all travelers who desire authenticity instead of luxury.
- Joerg (9/5): - sehr sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Besitzerin. Essen sehr gut, Lage Aussicht hervorragend.

- Francesco (9/5): A private paradise with a local taste - Position and staff are over the top N/A.
- Aleksandra (9/5): - To get to the Mirador Playa Cristal Tayrona, we took a boat from Santa Marta at 9:30 AM. The ride is almost 1 hour. Upon the arrival, we were able to check-in right away. The rooms are very simple. The bathrooms are shared. The host provides towels. This is not a 5 star hotel; however, if you want to stay a night in this beautiful place, you won't mind these basic conditions. Breakfast is included in price (eggs with tomates and mushrooms, coffee, small bowl of fruits, and arepas). We also ordered dinner and lunch there. I can recommend fish. It is super fresh.
The owner is very nice and friendly. She was always ready to help us with any questions we had.
During our stay, at night, there was a huge thunderstorm and heavy rain. My daughter was very happy with the experience.
Finally, the view from the hotel is wonderful. Staying the night gives you an opportunity to enjoy the beach in the evening and the next morning without the crowds. Boats leave at 3:30 PM and and bring people the following morning at 10:30. So, you can enjoy the beach almost to yourself. There was only 1 uncomfortable thing for me - the weather was changing all the time, and I was scared that we won't be able return by boat because od thunderstorms. However, everything ended up ok.
- Rebecca (10/5): Perfect mix of adventure and relaxation for our little family - safe, peaceful, and SO BEAUTIFUL. - Our time at Mirador Playa Cristal was one of the absolute highlights of our trip to Colombia. This beach is truly one of the most beautiful we’ve ever visited—crystal-clear water, clean soft sand, and surrounded by vast nature in every direction. The view of the sun setting over the ocean is unforgettable, and the vibe in the mornings and evenings is pure magic.
What made the experience even more special was the incredible care we received from Naydu and Luna. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, including helping us move to a room with two beds that was perfect for our family of three (two adults and our 5-year-old child). It’s rare to find a place that feels so welcoming and family-friendly while also being this stunning.
Playa Mirador is one of those rare beaches that has it all—great swimming, relaxing shade, and some of the most accessible snorkeling we’ve ever experienced. Our 5-year-old, who is just learning to swim, was able to see a wide variety of colorful fish just steps from shore.
As others have mentioned, getting there takes a bit of coordination, so definitely reach out to the hosts via WhatsApp for guidance. We traveled from Minca and made it in about two hours using a combination of taxi and boat arranged by the hotel. You can also get there by boat from Santa Marta. Keep in mind there’s a park entrance fee, and the beach is only accessible by boat (either from Santa Marta or 10 min from Playa Nenguanje inside of Tayrona Park).
While the beach does get busy with (mostly Colombian) day-trippers from around 11am to 3pm, staying overnight at Playa Mirador gives you the gift of quiet mornings and evenings when the beach is nearly empty. We spent those times swimming and snorkeling, and retreated up the hill (where the hotel and restaurant are located) during the hottest, busiest hours to enjoy delicious meals and peaceful views. It was a truly wonderful experience. Thank you again, Naydu and Luna! As others have mentioned, the accommodations are rustic, with an outside bathroom and barebones rooms. But everything was very clean and honestly way nicer than we expected. The prices are also not the cheapest, but they were completely worth it in our opinion for the unique experience and location. They also make it possible to pay for everything by card, which is helpful, and was a surprise to us given the remote location.
This is a great place for chill, not-fussy people, looking for peaceful beach vibes that are unique to Colombia. If that's you, highly recommend!
- Burr (9/5): Perfect place for a wonderful visit to Tayrona - The location of this place is just wonderful, so i absolutely recommend going here.
You have wonderful views over the beach, sea and mountains, it is one of the best beach places I've had. There is also a good area to sit at, WiFi is good if you want to hang around during the day and wait for sun to calm down, the bungalow is comfortable when sleeping, and it is very quiet during the night.
The beach below itself is superb and clean. During the day there are quite a lot of day visitors there, but you've got the morning and afternoon for yourself. The water is clear and calm, and the corals are really beautiful and full of colourful fish. You can hire a mask and snorkel cheaply and go out directly from the beach. The host is really nice, and can arrange a fairly hard and sweaty but wonderful walk in the Tayrona nationalpark to see forest, wildlife and scenery. It is well worth it, and went on all sorts of hidden trails where no one else was going! A good adventure!
The host will help you to get from Santa Marta to the Mirador and back, easiest is to keep contact on whatsApp. The food is good, but the prices are a bit too high, and so is the price for water. The price for accommodation is also a bit high, but it is all about the location. Just accept it, you will have an awesome visit.
- Camilla (10/5): Exceptional - Our stay was fantastic we enjoy lot. Naydu was a great host and the beach was stunning. I highly recommend it!!
- Olga (9/5): Unbeatable location - Probably the best location in Tayrona - there are few other accommodations inside but from what I have gathered this one is the only directly on the beach where you can swim. Incredibly peaceful in the evenings - you are literally alone there. Also hosts are very friendly and they can organise you transportation so that the road doesn't feel as bad (road to Neguanje is bad but not that uncomfortable with their driver and afterwards it's just 10 min by boat). Food is good - they make one of better roballos a la plancha I have tried in Colombia. It is very basic, including the outdoors shared toilet and bathroom - but you are in wilderness after all.
- Isabelle (9/5): Superb - I loved staying at Mirador in Playa Crystal. It looks exactly like the pictures, and its simplicity enhances the authentic vibe. The beach is practically yours before 11am and after 3pm, and between those hours, you'll get to enjoy the lively beach atmosphere with tourists and locals who arrive by boat with their families. The beach is lined with local restaurants, each vying for your attention with great service. Or you can just relax at the Mirador up the stairs and enjoy the breathtaking view. The meals there are delicious. Fish is so fresh and so are the fruits. If you're up for an adventure, consider going on a hike with Naydu and Ivan. Be prepared to work up a sweat, but you’ll get to explore gorgeous and exclusive areas of Tayrona Park. They also offer snorkeling, which is another experience that’s worth it. Naydu’s place is truly special, it has a family atmosphere and everyone goes above and beyond to ensure you have the best experience. My only regret is not booking more days there.
- Maarten (9/5): Superb - Great location, in the middle of the nature park. Good communication with the host, she helped to arrange the trip to the location.
- Mait (9/5): Superb - The location was exactly perfect for us. Not too simple to reach and at the same time not overcrowded by other tourist.
- Eloise (10/5): Paradise - Amazing views, friendly hosts who go above and beyond Na da
- Lizanne (8/5): A simple and basic spot to stay if you want to overnight in Playa Cristal. - Perched nicely up on the side of a hill with great views. It is fairly basic for the price. It would have been nice to have a comfortable chair to sit in. Food is also expensive.
- Finlay (10/5): Exceptional - We loved our stay here and would very much hope to come back in the future! Having explored other parts of parque Tayrona this was by far our favourite beach. The relaxed atmosphere and friendly small businesses on the beach make you feel at home and although busy during the day it never felt crowded. Around 3pm the day visitors begin to leave and there is hardly anyone on the beach for the last couple of hours, which is amazing. The Mirador itself has stunning views and Naydu was a great host who made us feel very welcome along with the other staff. Would very much recommend staying here for a relaxed beach escape.
- Sebastian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dani (10/5): Exceptional - What Naydu and and her family established in this remote place is just incredible. The hard work, skills and dedication that go into bringing that kind of comfort into this quiet remote location cannot be overstated. The rooms are simple but very well constructed and I slept like a baby. Even though the first night we were subjected to quite a strong storm hitting the coast. The hearty and diligent service they provide from the delicious meals to logistical help and anything one might need is beyond words. Truly a pearl in this most beautiful part of the world. Greetings and much love to Naydu and her family who made me feel at home from day one up to being dropped off safely on a public bus to continue my journey.
- Kathleen (10/5): Stunning views, great food, a very special place - First of all: This place does exist! I wasn't super confident until we arrived since I could only find evidence of it on Booking, but it is real!
Absolutely beautiful location. Feels very special and Naydu and Ivan made sure we had everything we needed to really enjoy our time there. The food is GREAT (eat every meal at Mirador and NOT down by the beach where it is bad, more expensive, and most likely gave me food poisoning). I sadly came down with food poisoning before I could eat anything at the restaurant (I was already vomiting before I ate or drank anything here). I sadly had to sit and watch my boyfriend eat his amazing-looking food while I just drank lots of water and juice.
We brought our own snorkeling gear, but there is a place to rent them at the beach as well. Being able to walk down to the beach and snorkel through the reefs was amazing. Beautiful water with great visibility.
When I felt better the second night we went out on a sunset boat ride and snorkel with Ivan and Naydu and it was a great way to really take in the location.
I think this place attracts people with a sense of adventure and we joined together for dinner one night with the other people staying (either in tents or the other room) and had a wonderful time learning about other cultures and their travel adventures. We ended up taking a taxi to Neguanje and taking a boat over to Playa Cristal. The roads to get to Neguanje were AWFUL and it took a super long time. There seems to be some kind of cartel/monopoly running the whole operation and we had to pay $180.000 (about $20 USD per person) for a 5 minute boat ride. Neguanje is not very pleasant and the people were kind of pushy and stressed us out. We talked to another guest at Mirador who said they took a boat from Santa Marta and it was super fast and he only paid something like $135.000 round trip. Would def recommend not doing what we did.
- Daniel (9/5): A beautiful, isolated beach paradise with wonderful hosts. - As far as I could tell, this is the only lodging on one of the most popular beaches in Tayrona Park. So you are basically alone with the beach to yourself in the mornings and evenings. It’s pretty amazing to be the only people on this beautiful beach as the sun sets!
I was a little worried about getting there since you need to take a boat — which is very cool — but I was concerned about the logistics. But the host offered to meet us in Santa Marta and escort us all the way to the hotel, first by car to Neguanje, a bit of a rough ride, and then by a short boat ride. It was pretty great service.
The view from the Mirador is great and it’s a short walk down to the beach. I did not snorkel but one of our group did and said they saw lots of beautiful fish.
The rooms themselves are fairly basic and the bathroom is downstairs from the rooms.
The food and drinks were really good, and the service from the hosts was excellent. I liked that everything went on our tab and I could just pay everything at the end.
The place is very quiet and relaxing. During the day there are plenty of services on the beach if you want something different, like a massage.
Overall, I feel really glad I found this place. It’s really a gem. There were a few mosquitoes, so be prepared with some mosquito spray. The beds have nets so it’s not a problem at night.
I seemed to have some issues charging my devices, I wasn’t sure why but I suspected the electricity, which is at least partly solar, was a bit weak at least at some times of the day.
- Ambrose (10/5): Exceptional - The views and the staff were absolutely amazing
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - It's an absolutely amazing place for relaxing. The most beautiful view I every saw and the hosts are very friendly and exceptionally nice.
You can discover other lonely bays and seeing a lot of colorful fish. I recommend it.
