Guest Reviews
- Simon (6/5): Unfortunately I would not stay here again. - Host did respond very quickly to queries. I didn’t like that we didn’t get greeted - all correspondence was via WhatsApp. It was very noisy all night, making it difficult to sleep. The hard bed and stuffy room didn’t help either.
- Tiago (9/5): Great location - The location is awesome and we will definitely return!!! Not really a negative point. The shower is small if you are a large person but considering the location and the age of the building, it’s remarkable what they have done to upgrade this property!
- Butler (7/5): fabulous location great appartment - great location Bathroom needs updating, mould in the shower
- Nayeli (10/5): Exceptional - It was in a nice area and it was super clean!
- Mona (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location, well equipped nice apartment in old house, we had a very good holiday.
Easy to reach from airport Fiumicino by train+tram.
Good communication with Giulia by whatsapp, she arranged to check-in earlier than anticipated (thank you) It was a surprise because we were offered snacks, drinks and coffee capsules at our arrival.
Trastevere is noisy, lots of bars and restaurants but the apartment is on a more quiet street we did not have problems to sleep.
- Maria (8/5): Very good -
- Nicolas (8/5): Very good -
- Anna (5/5): Great accommodation, great host, but very noisy at night. - I have mixed feelings - both very positive and some not so great which affect overall how content we are and much out of control of the host.
Having said that: Giulia is a wonderful host, great communication resolving minor things needing addressing (like the overlooked city taxt to be payed on site), apartment, rooms, extra bed, etc all lived up to all expectations and more. Location is great. Everything incl late arrival worked a charm. Wonderful to arrive late and still have the start of a breakfast (drinks snacks and lovely coffee) even if we had not had opportunity to shop.
Simply loved it. Things that host cannot contol, but also was not clear in the description - Noise from the street (which rooms faced).
This consisted of one restaurant (acceptable, they closed around midnight), and one bar. Garbage collection and other facility vehicles into the more pedestrian streets within (from 4-6 AM). This PLUS extremely noisy neighbour room partying until 3AM, people standing outside the bar after closing, drinking and shouting to 3AM and later....this altogether drove us nearly insane. It was a 24/7.
I have never slept this bad on a holiday. This is fine for a 2-3 night active city stay - but since we stayed 8 nights, and had hoped to relax back at the flat some days, this was exhausting. I ended up with earplugs and it did not help, so I put audio book on all night through to drench a bit of the noise.
+Minor inconvenience: I booked in April or so....by the time we were notified that garden and pool (which is a shared condo/communal) would be closed from Oct 1, we would have liked to know that sooner so we could have adjusted the stay. No pool is fine (too cold), but given the hectic sightseeing it would have been nice to kick back in the garden on a chair in the sun with a coffee.
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Angelika (9/5): Ideal Location for Night owls in the middle of Trastevere - Excellent Location, Pool, well equipped and we could get in even earlier than anticipated. The location is great for going out, dining, all right were you live but that means busy, loud streets at night with all windows facing the street.
- Michael (10/5): Amazing - This was an amazing location, restaurants right outside , 30 minute walk to major tourist attraction , me and the Mrs. had a fantastic time here. the pool was amazing to cool off after a day of exploring. highly recommended.
- Rebecca (9/5): Glamorous value for money on Rome’s left bank. - This apartment is a beauty. Small and perfectly formed. Gorgeously appointed. Incredibly clean and well loved. Most ideal for a couple. But still worked well with the sofa bed with our teenage boys. Swimming pool area is lovely. And, having stayed over the river in the Centro Storico, returning to the Trastevere area was awesome. Bright, twinkly, buzzing. Nothing.
- Ben (6/5): Okay - The apartment is in an interesting area lots going on and nice restaurants. Easy to get to from airport and the host was very responsive. Beds were comfortable. Air con is only in the living room which is probably fine in cooler months but was too hot and affected sleep. The flat is opposite a bar (with bins) this means it is very noisey as they pack up furniture at end of night and again when bin men come at 5.30/6 every morning.
The pool is lovely - only open 9 - 1 and 3 - 5 and rules are strict (we had kids) and were told off for sinkies, jumping in, laughing etc. It’s made it hard to enjoy. The bathrooms and kitchens need some updating.
- Nicki (10/5): A fantastic place to stay in a fabulous location. - The apartment was lovely, beautifully designed and cute.
The location was perfect, quiet and quaint during the day and buzzing at night with loads of restaurants to pick from. It felt super safe and everyone was very friendly. The apartment was a couple of streets away from the main area so was quiet, so no problem sleeping at all.
Having a pool was such a bonus. An absolute gem of a find. We wish we’d had longer and would definitely stay again. A definite 5 stars from us. The opening hours of the pool were less than advertised - but a great thing to have!
The bins are emptied at an ungodly hour - but a small price to pay for this awesome apartment.
- Jazmin (9/5): Superb - The apartment has a very nice little pool for the summer heat. It’s in a great location in a very lively location but far enough removed that you’re not disturbed by the people in and out of the inner streets. We really liked the space and it fit our family of 4 well ( 2 adults, 5YO, and 1 1/2 YO). The unit has AC which is a life savior it’s just not in the main bedroom so we slept on the sofa bed to make the most of the AC.
We took an Uber at the end of our stay to Termini and in order for it to a get a good pick up location walk out the condo to the left up to the end at Via Garibadli and request it from there.
- Adrian (10/5): Highly recommended place to stay whilst visiting Rome. - Comfortable property to stay at with a family in a great location with the added bonus of a pool. The host was super friendly and a great communicator. The person supervising the pool area had a bit of attitude and a unfriendly demeanour but this is nitpicking.
- Nicole (10/5): Exceptional - This is located in a really nice area - a lot of great restaurants nearby and a nice walk to many sites people wish to see in Rome. Giulia is very helpful, communicative, and the apartment is quite cozy. The pool area has no chairs and is closed during peak daytime hours which was unfortunate during the high heat of July.
- Adrian (8/5): Great location, character property. Benefit of having swimming pool, although cold. - Great location, but noisy. Liked the Little touches & swimming pool. Bed hard & could feel buttons/tie on mattress. Only 1 toilet roll. Very noisy location. Coffee machine didn’t work. Kitchen & Bathroom small & cramped
- Debbie (10/5): Exceptional - The style of the apartment was traditional and in keeping with that area of Rome. I didn't get time to make use of the pool so am unable to comment on that facility..
- Matthias (9/5): Beautiful apartment which would benefit of more attention to detail. - The location is almost perfect. Trastevere is a wonderful, charming spot that lets you forget you're in a large city. The apartment is located at the northern edge, and while not exactly quiet (if you like to sleep with open windows), it is probably as peaceful as it gets in the lively neighborhood ful of bars and restaurants, although the windows are on the street side opposite a small Trattoria and not towards the garden. We did not make use of the pool due to the time of year. The main attractions are all within walking distance.
The apartment itself is quite posh at first sight, with a very solid feeling and beautiful wooden floors. The rooms are fine for 3 guests, the kitchen and the bathroom are small but adequate.
The communication with Giulia was a bit slowish at first, but as our trip got closer, we got all the information we needed via Whatsapp. We found fruits, snacks and drinks in the fridge, which was a welcome surprise after a very late arrival. For our liking the kitchen and the bathroom could have been cleaner. Speaking of the beds, we found the mattress of the main bed to be very stiff, but we kind of got used to it. The sofa on the other hand is very soft and unsupportive. Both take away a lot of the space, and we really missed a place to sit down together comfortably.
- Oksana (10/5): In Rome, like at home! - This is such a great place to stay! We were here as in our home, but in Rome! The interior is very stylish! Like from your favorite Italian movies! And a pool and tangerine tree in the courtyard! My kids loved it. Thank you for your hospitality! I liked everything
- Vroni (9/5): Superb - Location
Lovely flat
Easy to find
Well equipped No pool furniture for sitting. Odd time restrictions on use of pool
- Nikola (4/5): Beautiful but overpriced appartment, sketchy host, no service orientation - great location in the heart of Trastevere, spacious appartment in a beautiful old house. Tasteful decoration, lots of storage possibilities We never met the host, the host wasn't available via phone, only WhatsApp. Requested pictures of our IDs via WhatsApp. After putting the tax money in the lock box next to the apartment as requested upon arrival, the host must have collected the money (box was empty when we returned one day) and asked us to leave the tax money in the apartment. We had to remind her that we already left the money in the box. Host wanted to charge us extra cleaning fees upon arrival (20€) which we did not pay since not indicated in the bill. No knives in the kitchen, no running water in the flat at all on two mornings. We were informed about the first morning without water after checking in, the second morning without water came unexpected when the toilet did not flush. When confronted with the no-water-situation, the host wasn't available via phone and only wrote she told us so and if we didn't remember. We corrected her that we were informed about the previous morning without water but not the second morning. We had to leave the toilet as it was for the day and explored Rome without showering or washing up in the morning. No compensation was offered (a bottle of wine or a free meal at the restaurant next door would have saved the situation). No luggage storage, host referred us to central luggage storage. Only one roll of toilet paper, had to buy extra.
- Ioannis (10/5): Very nice and cool accommodation with Italian taste very close to everything. -
- Yunus (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ina (9/5): Generally we had very pleasant stay and were happy with appartments. Highly recommended - Perfect location in Trastevere to reach all popular attractions, all within walking distance. Great!
Very friendly host Julia had been always available via whatsup and provided clear instructions for smooth check in and out. Accomodation is very comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. Supermarkets are nearby. Hot water for shower was enough for 1 person only at a time and others have to wait when it runs hot again or take cool shower.
- Egor (10/5): Exceptional - Its an incredible experience to stay at Guilia apartment.
- The location is awesome: street is super quiet, although it's in trastevere. You are 50 meters from bars and cafes, but you could sleep without any noise
- The apartment is perfectly designed. Photos here on booking don't show how beautiful the apartment is. In my opinion, it's a perfect example of Italian design - white walls and massive wood. Perfect
- The apartment is comfortable. Kitchen is well-equipped and comfortable to use, there is a big table etc. I personally cooked a Christmas dinner. Everything was super convenient.
- Guilia is a perfect homeowner. She is always online on any question
I strongly, strongly, strongly recommend
- Davies (10/5): Great communicative host, lovely well-presented apartment. - Friendly host, and a lovely apartment in a great location. Very well presented.
