• Monika (4/5): Abgewohnte , lieblose Studentenbude- einfach nur enttäuschend. - Der Tisch war bei der Ankunft eingedeckt, es gab einen Parkplatz und im Wohnzimmer hing ein Bild. -Bad nicht eingerichtet, kein einziger Haken für Handtücher oder Kulturbeutel -Dusche verdreckt und voll Schimmel in allen Ecken -kein einziger Haken für Jacken o.ä. im Flur oder den Räumen - 3 Wassergläser für 4 Personen - kein Stöpsel in der Spüle (ohne Spülmaschine), wir haben Klebeband benutzt - alles voller Farbspritzer - dreckiger, klebriger Herd - viel zu weiche Betten - die Küchenausstattung ist weit entfernt von gut ausgestattet - die Unterkunft ist für die Ausstattung viel zu teuer
• Nayara (1/5): Women, be careful. - absolutely nothing. I arrived at the accommodation around 1:00 PM. The woman took me to the room. She said she was there because I could come in, as I had just come from a long trip. When I went in, I took a shower and left my suitcase in the living room, which is normal for me. Then, while I was sleeping, someone started banging very loudly on my door. I opened it to see what it was; it was the manager who works in this apartment, and he was accusing me of doing anything wrong there. I told him I wasn't, that I had gone back to sleep half an hour later. He came banging on my door, threatening me to leave. I said I wasn't going to leave because I wasn't doing anything wrong, and then he started threatening me. He told me I was prostituting myself in that place and that I shouldn't have allowed it, especially since I was traveling alone for leisure because I was going to meet my friends the next day. It was a huge embarrassment, I don't recommend this accommodation and I'm not sure if I would stay there again. After he knocked on my door a second time, I immediately contacted Booking.com to find out what was happening. I sent them a private message from the accommodation. I didn't get any response. Booking.com told me that if he knocked on my door again I should call the police. I wasn't comfortable staying in that environment due to the disturbances I experienced upon arrival. And they refused to give me a refund. I stayed at the accommodation for a few days and then I left. One detail I noticed was that the room was dirty; it had some residue from previous guests, fake nails, and the pots and pans were unusable because they were full of grime and the bottom of the pan was black. And then he was doing renovations on the apartment across from mine, staying until late at night. Those were some very embarrassing days for me, because I had never been through a situation like that before.

• Cece Redmond (1/5): Do not book - Nothing. 😐 Sorry Noise from partying and screaming woman. Maybe even drug dealing. No hot water, a chemical odor and was just plain scary. The personnel was rude when asked for help with no hot water.

• Kathryn (1/5): Do not stay here - Worst place I have ever stayed whilst using Booking.com. I query that this property is not in a fit or safe state to rent. Apartment was dirty and had a very unpleasant odour, key lock box was faulty (meaning apartment was difficult to lock). I do not think this property is in a fit state to be rented. It needs a complete renovation and a deep clean prior to any further lettings. There was noise from adjacent apartment and apartment green area into the early hours of the night.

• Brooke (4/5): Wouldn't stay again - The host agreed to a check in time, and then had to go back and forth with them about sticking to that. It just made it for a bad experience all the messaging back and forth despite them approving the time weeks ago. The apartment smelled very badly of cigarette smoke and it was extremely overpriced for what it was. There's better options available in Athlone, that are cleaner with friendlier staff.

• Graham (6/5): Big apartment, needs better cleaning - Big apartment, spacious and warm. Wasn't cleaned to a reasonable level, felt a little uncomfortable. Shower water only lukewarm.
• Rebecca (3/5): Thank goodness we only booked 1 night - The beds were comfortable We booked 2 apartmenrs on Easter Sunday. In each apartment the floor was so sticky our shoes stuck to it with each step, there was an overwhelming smell of drains and cleaning fluid, and lack of overall attention paid to the condition of the place. I have emailed the property asking for a reply to this feedback, nothing back from them.

• Webb (8/5): Good place but need to work on cleaning - Location was good,easily accessible The apartment was not clean to a BNB standard,the toilet leaks and it moves,literally moving not the toilet seat,the whole toilet.When you flash it the water leaks from behind the toilet.Poor drainage from the shower,the bathroom was covered with water.There was no kitchen cloth,only a small towel was placed there,there was no oven tray

• Ciaran (5/5): Two bedroom apartment in Athlone - The apartment is located in student accommodation beside TUS Which suited our purpose. The bedrooms and kitchen and living area were nice and presentable. The bathroom was very basic and not very pleasant to look at. The shower has been removed and only a shower hose in the bath tub was available with no shower screen which presented a substantial slip/fall hazard. Although the second bedroom was en suite which solved the immediate problem for us. There were no tea towels available in the kitchen or cleaning cloth for dishes or stoppers for the sink. There were also no stoppers in any of the other sinks either. I had issues around the parking situation which were eventually solved. But this required making several phone calls.

• Tom (1/5): Achtung - Finger weg! - Nichts. Leider hatten wir eine bestätigte und bezahlte Unterkunft in Athlone (The Quays Athlone) gebucht, die dann bei Anreise nicht mehr verfügbar war! In den Buchungsportalen war sie weiterhin gelistet. Erst durch den Kontakt zu booking.com und deren Recherche wurde uns mitgeteilt, das es die Unterkunft nicht mehr gibt. Danach wurde sie als dauerhaft nicht verfügbar angezeigt! Also mussten wir kurzfristig umbuchen. Wir wählten das 4 Minuten entfernte Two Bedrooms. Nach einer Viertelstunde!!!! Fahrtzeit waren wir da. Es handelte sich um eine extrem günstige Studenten-Appartment-Anlage. Als wir das Zimmer beziehen wollten. traf uns der Ekel (s. Fotos). Wir versuchten gemeinsam mit der netten Dame in der Rezeption eine Lösung zu finden. Es sollte 30 MIn später ein anderes Appartment zur Verfügung stehen. Das sahen wir uns an. Schlafzimmer war etwas besser, Badezimmer deutlich schlechter. Die zweite Option der Lösung war eine beiderseitige kostenfreie Stornierung, auf die wir uns einigten. Als ich die Stornierung über booking.com anforderte, wurde sie abgelehnt. ich warte heute noch auf mein Geld. Zu Fuß war übrigens der Weg deutlich zu weit von der Stadt entfernt. Zu den Fotos: Alle Griffe und Oberflächen in der Küche waren klebrig, es hing noch Schmutz am Spülschwamm, ebenfalls am Shcneiderbrett. Der Ofen war schmutzig, so wie der Mülleimer. Stühle waren staubig und dreckig. Eine Jalousiee kaputt. Toilette schon lange nicht mehr geputzt..... Also buchten wir die dritte Unterkunft mit der wir sehr zufrieden waren. Es war eine unserer Top 3 UNterkünfte auf eienr 2,5 wöchigen Rundreise durch Irland.

• Familie (2/5): Never again, actually left a day earlier! - It was spacious, had access to the surrounding garden (ground floor) Cheap and heavily used mobiliar. I guess the location is used as student homes during the study year for the nearby university (bed studytable chair and a locker per room)! Hot water was only available certain hours a day (timed boiler) - unacceptable for 200+ Euros per night! No refund policy by a good reason, guess we were not the first family moving out early!
