- Bridget (10/5): High quality accommodation fin a picturesque setting - We were a mixed group of 6 family & friends staying for between 2-7 nights. The cottage is in a lovely position looking out at the river Nith and hills beyond, is spacious and has been very nicely decorated throughout. There is everything you’d expect in a holiday cottage and so much more, there are thoughtful touches in every room and the host is very responsive to queries. We all enjoyed our stay very much, we would recommend the cottage and would return if in the area again. The log burner was easy to use and there were enough logs provided for 3 cool evenings. We used the Boathouse cafe over the road for breakfast some days which was hit and miss in quality but convenient.
