- Timothy (9/5): - Lovely hotel. Very warm, clean and we had a big family room in the main building. Staff were friendly and very helpful. It was a bit further out than where we have stayed before, but we had a car for the week, so it wasn't a problem. In fact, we preferred the location to last year when we were in the middle of town. Very peaceful. Breakfast was nice. Plenty of food and a good range. Would definitely stay there again. Coffee at breakfast was a bit hit or miss. Some days it was great, others it was barely drinkable. Sound proofing between rooms wasn't great and we had noisy neighbours.
- Iris (9/5): A beautiful wooden hotel in a beautiful surrounding - We were completely in our own at this place, The location is very quiet
The Deco and the atmosphere at the hotel is very zen
It has a beautiful view of Mt. Yotei The place is pretty remote from the resort so not the best if you are looking for company
The staff usually went home earlier since it was only us

- Harri (8/5): - Nice breakfast Some insects in the room, that are quite common in Japan

- Keltie (9/5): - Very neat lodge! Beautiful rooms and views, staff does an amazing job of managing the snow. Nothing, it was fantastic
- Scott (10/5): Pure relaxation. - Quaint, comfortable...skiing/touring out the backyard!
- Berit (7/5): -
- Payne (10/5): - The staff went out of their way to help with transportation to the local ski hills. Very much appreciated.
- Kyee (10/5): - All the staff were so nice especially Sachiko. We were stranded a few times due to limited buses and no Didi or uber available and she helped us call for taxi. She is so lovely
- Delphine (10/5): -
- Arpaporn (10/5): - Clean , cozy , beautiful view
Also the sledge for my son is the super fun
- Kris (9/5): A hidden gem in Niseko! - The location: beautiful, just outside the craziness of Niseko/Hirafu, tucked in the woods on a hilltop with gorgeous views of the ski area and Mt Yotei. The staff: friendly and helpful - they even swept the snow off our car in the morning! The lodge: total zen, such a warm and cozy atmosphere....for 3 of our 5 nights' stay, we chose to stay in for a light meal in their cafe rather than venture out into the snow and crowds. The breakfast: a nice selection of hot and cold western and Japanese dishes, fruits, and breads/pastries. The restaurant (Keyspring): we had the best dinner of our 2-week trip to Japan here, and one of our best ever meals while traveling. Chef Furusawa is unquestionably one of the best - if not the best - in the Niseko region. Visiting Foodies should make it a top priority to visit Keyspring Restaurant at Niseko Hykrots Ikigai Village! Be aware that the room we had (101) is next to a utility room. You will hear the water pump whenever someone in the building runs their water. Also the mattresses and pillows were a bit too firm for us, but this was common at hotels we stayed at in Japan.
- Jocelyn (9/5): -
- Barontini (10/5): - Location bellissima, curata nei dettagli, camera con vista su bosco innevato semplicemente meravigliosa!
- pankaj (4/5): - We stayed at this hotel for two nights. The property itself is average, with nice surroundings and decent rooms, but our experience was negatively impacted by poor staff training.
Most staff members were polite, and Kevin at the front desk was especially professional and helpful. Unfortunately, our stay ended on a sour note due to one breakfast service staff member on our checkout day.
We vacated our room exactly at 10:00 AM and spent a few minutes at the front desk settling our bill. While we were asking a simple question about complimentary drinks offered the previous night, the staff member commented that we were “six minutes late for checkout” and said we were “not being charged.” This remark was unnecessary, unprofessional, and inappropriate, especially as we had already checked out and were standing at the front desk.
Another staff member stepped in and handled the situation properly, but this single incident overshadowed the overall stay. It clearly reflects a lack of customer-service training, which management should address seriously.
- pankaj (4/5): - We stayed at this hotel for two nights. Overall, the experience was average — not bad, but not particularly impressive either.
The resort is small, with a limited number of rooms and two restaurants. One restaurant requires a reservation at least three days in advance, while the other has a cover charge. The food quality itself was good. The resort has a budget Swiss-style chalet ambiance, which may appeal to some guests.
The surroundings are very beautiful, but the location comes with challenges. If you do not have your own car, reaching the hotel can be difficult, especially in the evenings, as taxis are often unwilling to drop guests here late at night. The hotel provides a shuttle to and from the Annupuri ski lifts; however, the last pickup is at 4:30 PM, while night skiing continues until 7:00 PM. This timing does not make sense and should ideally be extended.
Most of the hotel staff were kind, polite, and hospitable. A special mention to Kevin at the front desk, who was very helpful and welcoming throughout our stay.
Unfortunately, our experience was negatively impacted by one incident involving an inexperienced breakfast service staff member on our last day. We vacated our room exactly at 10:00 AM and spent about five minutes at the front desk settling our bill. While we were clarifying a question about complimentary drinks offered by the bartender the previous night, the staff member commented that we were “six minutes late for checkout” and that we were “not being charged.”
This remark was unnecessary and unprofessional, especially considering that we had already checked out and were standing at the front desk. Such comments do not align with standard hospitality practices and gave the impression of poor training and lack of customer-service etiquette. Thankfully, another staff member — a local lady with a warm smile and professional manners — stepped in and handled the situation gracefully. Otherwise, the situation could have escalated into an... Poorly trained staff
- CHINGFANG (9/5): 基本上,是一個很漂亮的地方,很像在歐美或是澳洲的 - 員工都很親切,會熱心協助。還有公共場所跟小吧台 因為位置較遠,會建議自駕

- Joy Marie (10/5): Lovely and Cozy village.. - A cozy and warm lodge where every corner feels welcoming. Breakfast was perfectly balanced and sumptuous. The staff were amazingly helpful, especially when they assisted us with our car covered in snow. Great location too, just a short drive to town and the ski resorts. We'll definitely come back here! No!
- Chan Yu (8/5): -
- Yoke Mie (9/5): Great stay and experience. - The breakfast was great both Japanese and American. Place looked great and cozy.
Staffs were very friendly and helpful. Place is very clean and restful. Value for money. The location is a little off but it is ok if you are driving.
- CHIA WEN (9/5): -
- Masami (8/5): Sehr freundlicher Personal - Das Frühstück war sehr lecker.
- Melissa (10/5): Artistic mountain lodge - Our favorite place we stayed during our Hokkaido trip. This place is even better than the photos. It’s amazing. The food is really delicious (one of the best steaks we ever had), the artistic vibe is really cool with all the Keith Haring prints and local sculptures from the owner’s personal collection, and the room was very spacious and cozy. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay! Nothing, everything was beyond our expectations
- Chris (10/5): Blissful stay in the mountains - The location was incredible, the rooms were pristine and welcoming. The staff were incredibly kind and we really felt at home . I don’t have any negatives at all Everything was impeccable
- Mark (9/5): A good sized ski lodge in the forest with great views and great atmosphere. - Lovely wood structures. Amazing view of Mt. Yotei. Lots of space and comfort. Great shower. Full kitchen to cook in. No problems, really, but you really need a car if you stay here (maybe not if you are only skiing). You cannot easily walk or bus to anywhere.

Location perfect for those with a car wanting to stay out if the main town.
- Bernard (10/5): Beautiful and quiet. - This is a ski resort. So summer time, will be it's off peak, so it's really good value in summer. Nothing, it was really a good pleasant stay
- Chatriya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mei (8/5): Very good -
- Yayu (8/5): Relax and convenience. - Nice Japanese breakfast with a reasonable fee. Highly recommend to add it. The ski tunning room is a little bit cold though. Staff are extremely nice. They clean snow on our rental car every morning.
The view of the mountain Yotei is amazing. The stairway to the front door. Staff came down to help up with luggages, but it would be nice to be able to drive to the front door.
- Bruno (9/5): Would reccomend - The staff were super friendly and the facilities were great! The offered a shuttle bus to the Annupuri ski station which was nice and helpful. Price quality I’d rate it a 9 out of 10
- Ling (9/5): Superb -
- Zekiel (8/5): Very good - Breakfast was Great, and the location was amazing Nothing it was perfect
- Ying (9/5): Wonderful stay, will definitely return! - Breakfast was very nice, hotel staff exceeded expectations and were very accommodating to my needs in terms of transportation arrangements, choice of food and facility itself. It's a beautiful and quaint place to stay, especially if you want to be away from crowd. The entire staff service were exceptional, and made me feel very welcomed. The location is a bit far, 20min by car from Hirafu. However, despite the distance, the staff were more than willing to assist in calling a cab and send us to the nearest shuttle stop or ski resort for us to catch the shuttle.
- Brano (10/5): After the day of skiing and travel, this is the place you want to travel to. - Its laid back challet / lodge feeling in amazing location in amazing place close to Niseko in Hokkaido Japan. I am on positive side here, no dislikes.
- Konstantin (10/5): Excellent place to stay - Very good hotel. Everything was super clean, staff was friendly. facilities modern. The restaurant onsite was very good either. The location was remote, about 20 min drive to ski resorts but it was not the problem for us since we had a car.
The view from the window to the winter forest was very beautiful. Nothing. Everything was very good.
- Jack (6/5): Pleasant -
- Aaron (10/5): Overall, other than transportation matters, our ski vacation to Niseko was AWESOME!!! - Serene location nestled in a blanket of snow covered hills, lovely, kind and accommodating staff, great food at breakfast and dinners, comfortable beds, & very clean.
Take advantage of the daily breakfast before hitting the slopes. First off these are minor inconveniences to a world traveler used to driving a car everywhere I want to and who lives in California where there is a taxi or rideshare that will drive you 150 miles if you wish. Just details that will be helpful as this was our first trip.
The hotel is a little isolated from the Niseko ski areas.
The hotel will pick you up at Niseko train station if you come up from Tokyo, you must alert them 72 hours beforehand.
Daily hotel shuttles are available at 7:30, 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to and from the AnNapuri ski area, then we took the Niseko city/ski bus into Hirafu area which only runs on an hourly basis and took 45 minutes. You must plan accordingly to get back to the pick up point. In order to be picked up at 4:30 PM we had to catch a 3:04 p.m. shuttle bus in Hirafu area to get back to AnNapuri ski area pick up point. We generally took a few laps there before the pick up time.
If the upper mountain lifts are open you can ski in between all 4 resorts on the common ski pass. (Only for intermediate/advanced skiers and the lifts were only open 1/4 days we skied.)
The hotel also provides a nightly shuttle to the community onsen (separate male/female bath areas) (admittance fee was 600¥ in cash) at 5 PM returning at 6:30 PM, which is a delightful experience. Don’t miss it. We went almost daily.
Massages available and local market and restaurant on premises as well.
The hotel was out of the zone that the Go Taxi app drivers would drive us to & from town, so going out at night was challenging.
Large private buses back to the Sapporo airports fill up early, so plan to get a reservation early in your stay and arrange with hotel to drive you to a pick up point. Many bus companies pick up at Grand Hirafu welcome center, so it may take two forms of transportation to get there. Luggage lugging with ski equipment can be challenging.
- Zetty (10/5): Exceptional -
- Han (9/5): Superb -
- Lucas (8/5): Very good - Super cozy and warm rooms.
The rooms could be a bit more soundproof. Car is recommended.
- Mark (7/5): So much snow - Enjoyed my stay, snow amazing All good
- Chun (10/5): Great stay - Polite staff. Nice decor. Cozy environment. Need a car to travel around.
- Min-chi (5/5): Passable -
- Jack (6/5): Pleasant -
- Reimers (9/5): Very friendly staff in a quiet, beautiful and calm setting. - Great breakfast spread each morning. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. We had a minor hiccup at the beginning of our trip that the team was eager to fix. It's a tranquil and calm setting with beautiful views. Our first room had an unpleasant odor consistently coming from the bathroom. We brought this to the staff's attention, and they quickly fixed the issue. That was the only negative of our stay.
- Walker (10/5): AMAZING - Absolutely incredible staff. Nicest and most helpful as well as friendly people. Cannot say enough about this place, location is prime for skiing and the grounds are gorgeous. Rooms are cozy and clean beds are so comfortable. I would live here for the rest of my life if I could not even joking this place is amazing. Nothing could have been better
- Craig (6/5): Pleasant - The locations is beautiful but would recommend a car if you are going to stay here as it is a fair way away from restaurants and the ski hills etc The buildings look lovely but because they are all wood the sound proofing is terrible. Unfortunately we got the worst sleeps of our whole trip here and were happy to leave. One of the mornings the staff (who were in a room next to ours) made a lot of noise at 530 just putting out a few breakfast items, and one of the other nights the guests kept us up drinking in the communal area and walking up and down the stairs. Unfortunately would not stay here again because of that, despite the lodges being very nice to look at.
- Andrea (8/5): Very good - Really friendly reception! The whole place was super homely but nice, only odd thing was that there was a shower but no toilet in our room. The view was amazing and would have loved to check out more of the placce if we stayed for longer! The facilities were great too.
- Grindrod (10/5): Exceptional - The staff here were incredibly kind and accommodating. Our first trip to Niseko for snowboarding was made much easier with the free shuttle service offered. The restaurant within offers plenty of food and drink options for everyone's tastes and even has a happy hour deal if you feel like hanging out down there to chat about your day over a hot sake or cold beer/wine.
10/10
Will definitely stay again
- Daya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Caroline (9/5): Beautiful and relaxing in nature - It was a beautiful lodge, outside of bustling Niseko. Even though it was a shared shower it was super clean and the view is magnificent. They will charge you for late check in (even though there’s staff 24/7 staying on the property.)
- Duc (8/5): Quiet little stay further away from the main bustle of Niseko - Very friendly staff. Nice interior. Happy hours deals was very nice. A bit further out from most nearby attractions. A car would be a must.
- Duc (8/5): Very good -
- Phillip (8/5): Very good - Friendly helpful staff
- Andreas (7/5): Good -
- Mian (9/5): Superb -
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kyle (8/5): Wonderfully comfortable and warm. A place we’ll return back to if visiting the area. - Breakfast was fantastic. The hotel is very cosy and warm. Its location is great and had great food options available if driving. The staff were super friendly and awesome. A quick check of the room prior to checking in. There were a couple of wasps that snuck in which we had to usher outside…
- Xinyi (7/5): Okay but wouldn’t stay here again - The staff are really nice and proactive. Exterior and common areas are nicely designed. Extremely expensive for its limited facilities and location (I’ve been to niseko many times). No housekeeping, no coin laundry. Bed was very hard, pillows were small and hard. Room itself was sparse. You definitely need a car if you were to stay here.
- Rei (8/5): Very good -
- Carver (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kravitz (6/5): Fine near Niseko base - Close to Annupuri base for Niseko. The room was very spacious. The breakfast was very limited. Until they have better breakfast, I wouldn’t include it in your stay.
Thin walls, if neighbors are loud you can hear it. Not walking distance to any restaurants or cafes. You need a car. There is a restaurant at the hotel, it’s a bit over priced, food was fine.
- Jeffrey (8/5): Very good - Views. Food Long way from town. But the seclusion was nice. Just hard to get places
- Ian (10/5): Quality stay at a secluded part of Niseko - Beautiful place lovely people running and servicing the guests and property
Excellent food and friendly staff Little tricky getting around
Go Taxi app is out range from here which is no fault of the property
- Xiomara (10/5): Incredible service & immaculate rooms - This hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff is INCREDIBLE. They accommodated our every need. We felt so well taken care of throughout our entire stay. It is about a 15 minute drive from Annupuri mountain (add another 7 to Niseko Village) and they offer a free shuttle bus to hotel guests. They went above and beyond to accommodate us offering a late check-in, midday shuttle, late checkout, shipping our ski luggage (a very common thing to do in Japan) to our final destination and a free shuttle to the train station. We didn’t need to rent a car because the hotel shuttle was so convenient. You can’t ask for a better hotel. Initially, I was hesitant about booking the double bed room with a shared bathroom but the bedrooms, bathrooms and showers were immaculate. Everything was pristine and incredibly clean. I would highly recommend this hotel for your trip to Niseko. You won’t be disappointed!
- Mei (9/5): Pleasant - Quite flexible and there is privacy Will be good to have a phone in the room to contact staff.
- Ruoyu (10/5): A place I would definitely want to come again! - The cabin is very beautiful, and the interior environment is also very tidy.
Every staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Although the breakfast is relatively simple, it's evident that great care is taken to present different styles each day to keep it from becoming boring.
This is a place where I would definitely want to return! Nothing
- Benjamin (10/5): Amazing people and food, and nice rooms. - The people here are incredibly nice - we had a few travel issues and they went far out of their way to help. We also had lovely smiles and grins every time we went in and out of the common areas. The food was excellent too. This wasn’t an issue for us, but for those that want to go out on the town, unless you have a designated driver that might be difficult.
- Tim (9/5): Comfortable and quiet - Clean rooms and staff were wonderful. Breakfast was very good (alternates between western and Japanese). Bathroom was clean. View from room of the ski slopes lit up was fantastic. Quiet and plenty of space to play in the snow. Secluded - fine if you have a car The upstairs mezzanine level means that the lower level has limited privacy and there are only two single beds downstairs. The property is some distance from the slopes and there is no bus stop nearby (they can drop you at set times in the morning to Annupuri). So would really need a car to get about - but that allows you to travel to Kuchan for cheaper restaurants and supermarkets too.
- Kit (8/5): Beautiful and clean room, a bit out of place but if u drive, it doesn’t concern much - A bit far of from the Main Street niseko and ski slopes. There is no house-keeping for the room throughout my five nights stay. One of the night when we came back, there is no replacement of bath towel which really caused inconvenience for us as there were no staffs in the building and the next building. It was snowing heavily
- Maxine (9/5): Beautiful location, friendly staff and three rooms altogether, perfect! - Delicious food in the restaurant and lovely staff.
- Dalila (9/5): Superb - I recommend it. I’m very pleased about the accommodation and service
- Nawassa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pareek (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wendy (8/5): Very good -
- Runa (10/5): ありがとうございました╰(*´︶`*)╯♡ - The staff was super friendly! Even though I did not give an estimated time of arrival as required, I was welcomed very friendly. The room was super tidy and warm, with a nice view into the woods. The parking lots right in front of the housing were super comfortable and anything possibly necessary provided. Just notice that the closest convenience store is 15-20min by car, as the location is really away from busy life. During snow season I recommend a 4x4 if you plan to rent a car and go there.
- Giulio (9/5): Superb - The structure, amenities. Nothing in particular. Maybe the staff could be warmer
- Cheng (7/5): Okay - Clean Too many stairs
- Solee (8/5): Very good -
- Bettina (5/5): Good place for a ski vacation - The staff is wonderful and the cook has prepared a wonderful Japanese breakfast. I assume that place could be great in the winter. I did not know that the rooms are not cleaned but for three days that‘s ok. There are no rooms on a higher floor and the basement rooms do not have anything nice to look at. In front of my room were some old tires and a rusty barbecue.
- Newyear (10/5): Superb - Breakfast. nothing
- Sam (10/5): Exceptional -

Would definitely recommend to anyone looking at staying in the Niseko region. We didn’t like that everything was perfect.. Just joking! There was nothing to complain about whatsoever. An absolutely brilliant stay all round, in a perfect location.
