Beautiful bathroom with heated floor Especially loved the outdoor shower! Fantastic pizza from Fritzy the food trailer. We ran out of hot water after filling the lovely bath - it would have been useful to have a note somewhere that the hot water was not unlimited.

Mike (8/5): Exceeded expectations - Overall, the property was excellent and exceeded expectations. They have done a great job on the cottage (and the winery as a whole) and the photos online didn’t do the size of the cottage justice. We found it very comfortable and really liked the small touches like the wine fridge/mini-bar and the well equipped amenities. The bed was far too hard for us unfortunately.

Food service closed at five and so did the restaurant. I think if catering for families it would probably do them to stay open a bit later.

Annie (10/5): Exceptional - It’s a beautiful winery. Staffs are welcoming and knowledgeable. The cottage has great quality and tasteful furnishings. It’s very warm with a log burner and underfloor heating. 3min drive to Clyde. Plenty to do in the area. Would definitely comeback again. The cottages are next to each other and close to the food truck and cellar door. So privacy is pretty much the one thing we think could be improved.

Andy (10/5): Absolutely incredible place to stay, one of the best places I've stayed in the South Island - We liked, the location, it was very quiet and scenic. Beautifully laid out and extremely clean! Bathroom was very big and felt brand new. We loved how there was no noice from air conditioning units or other people. Just simply lovely The bed was slightly hard, but very comfortable. Honestly depending on personal comfort. But noting more to comment on being bad.

Chris (9/5): Charming, spacious, superbly situated and furnished cottages in a modern winery setting - Brand new, beautiful quality furnishings, spacious bedroom, huge bathroom, delightful setting adjacent to the winery and vineyards. We especially enjoyed the little extras... heated bathroom floor, outdoor shower, big bath, twin basins and slow combustion fire. It was a lovely cottage to come home to at the end of the day. A little more privacy would be nice but this will happen over time as the newly planted shrubs and olive trees grow.

Madeleine (10/5): A lush, relaxing night away! - Monte Cristo is a very cool spot. It’s a well thought out and comfortable space - there was no need to leave the property (everything you needed all in one place) but if you had wanted to, it was nice and convenient to Clyde while still maintaining a ‘private’ feel. Staff were lovely and very accomodating.
