Guest Reviews
- Anthony (7/5): - Had everything needed, bed tv kettle & shower
- PATRICE (10/5): Bon séjour, pas trop loin du centre ville, et à proximité de supermarchés. - Chambre propre, personnel sympa er compréhensif. Surtout quand vous arrivez fatigué. Rien, c'était sympa et plaisant.
- Sean (10/5): -
- Euan (6/5): Nice place, but requires biometric data to check in - Comfortable and clean. They require that you send an ID and biometic data to check in which is an awful practice for privacy and security. The TV remote didn't work and the shower gel container was constantly leaking out into the shower.
- Rune (5/5): - Relativt dyrt i forhold til et enkelt værelse uden bad men forholdene var pæne og det fåes åbenbart ikke billigere i Inverness
- Richard (9/5): -
- Mark (8/5): Quiet location, not too far from the town centre. - Room was warm and bed very comfortable. Room could have done with a chest of drawers, as eight days stay in a room with only eight hangers is not particularly comfortable. Back garden was unkempt, grass should have been mown. Recycling information was poor. Bins should have been labelled exactly as to what to recycle in which, Grey for this and black for this, as each council in the UK has different recycling policies.
Listing said room had a TV, but not informed prior to arrival that you needed an app or firestick to make use of this facility. This we felt was a major omission, presume to save the cost of the property having to register for a TV licence. Even the most basic accommodation tends to feature a freeview TV.

- Kieran (9/5): -
- Darren (1/5): Bad stay - Nothing Cooking facilities broken
- Christian (9/5): I enjoyed my stay in the hostel and I will be staying there again soon. - Location was excellent, utensils to cook my food was very good except the blender was not working.
The property is well secured and well looked after. The heating was very good. I think the management need staff to visit the property at least once every day as some residents do not tidy after using stuff in the kitchen, sometimes using the toilet without flushing properly or cleaning the stains they messed up and also one of the night that I was not working, I could smell weed, I was worried if a resident was smoking it in their room.

- david (1/5): Utter chaos and complete lack of help. - It would have helped a lot of we had been able to get into the property. We stood in the pouring rain begging the owner to come to open the door as the numbers for the keypad we were given would not open the door..He kept our. money though.Avoid at all costs. We are going to battle to get our money back as we were asked to pay first. Everything Utter
- Magaidh (5/5): I will not book Rooms again - No shower, Not enough detail before booking
Difficulty in accessing Had to ring the help line 3 times
Outside of property is neglected
- Jana (9/5): -
- Kristin (1/5): Absolute crap - Nothing, I couldn't access the property The fact that I could not gain access to the property, no people were available to come to the location to assist with the issue, the phone representative hung up on me multiple times and they refused to give me a refund for a room I was not able to get to
- Holmes (9/5): -
- Liang Heng (5/5): -
- Colin (3/5): Extortionately overpriced with cramped facilities. - Location was fine for what I was doing. Very poor quality all round.
- Elaine (4/5): Fawlty towers - Location good. Had bad ph and wifi reception and unable to receive updates from host. Turned up and unable to access due to above. No staff on hand. Pleased we weren't any older as would not have been able to drag suitcase to 3rd floor. This could have been advised when booking
- Heather (10/5): - Great b@b clean spacious just the thing for a holiday Found stairs a bit difficult so when we book again would like a ground floor room
- Jacqueline (1/5): Bad - I arrived and thought I was in a homeless shelter, the people hanging about outside were not the most desirable, they were standing outside my window shouting at 3.30 am the first night and 4 am second night, I was working at 6.30. I was booked for 16 nights but only stayed 2, that was 2 days longer than I wanted to be there. Contacted the host and they did nothing about it, said it was none refundable, which I agree with if you are in accommodation that you feel safe in. Would not recommend this property to anyone Nothing
- Liam (4/5): Disappointing -
- Alla (1/5): Bad -
- Babatunde (8/5): Very good -
- Madita (4/5): Overall, the stay was okay but one should be aware of the things I mentioned before and consider if that is worth the mo - The guest house is definitely too expensive for what it offers. During the booking, it wasn’t quite clear to us that the kitchen AND bathroom/toilet would be shared and the pictures of the room looked way different. Also, when we arrived, the code for the keys didn’t work and no one was there to help so we had to call someone and no one apologized for the inconveniences. In general, no staff is there to help if you have a problem. In our room, it smelled extremely like smoke and some things didn’t work properly like the light in the bathroom.
- Artur (7/5): Super affordable, perfect for a short stay - Great, quiet location. Very affordable stay. Other guests were a bit loud and disruptive at times.
- Isaacs (8/5): Very good - Nice little tea and coffee station in the room and big communal kitchen.
- Robert (8/5): Excellent for the working tradesmen. - Fitted communal kitchen to make your own food. Better blinds or curtains to block out the streetlights.
- Sienna (8/5): Very good - The rooms were clean and the bed was comfy and the cooking facilities were good and were able to cook our own food. The shower flooded on the second floor if you were in it too long.
Our room smelled like cig smoke a little bit
- Sean (8/5): Very good -
- Babatunde (8/5): Very good -
- Cevinini (8/5): lovely and central - good experience
- Sharon (8/5): Convenient and well priced stay near Inverness - It is a shared house (bathrooms) but it also means we have shared amenities such as the kitchen with washing machine and tumble dryer and it is a short walk from town and very close to Lidls and Aldi. It’s all good although your stay will always be dependant on the other guests treating the house with repect. Everyone did when we were there but there will come a time when people don’t.
- Adetola (7/5): Good -
- Aashir (3/5): Poor -
- Cyrielle (6/5): Does the job - Very clean, comfortable beds and good location Shared bathroom and toilets on the floor but paid the price of a hotel
- Rolf (3/5): It was a bed for a couple of nights but for the money I paid I expect much better. - Breakfast was not provided.
Location was good, close to city centre. Shared bathroom needed to be bigger and cleaner. No hot water when I tried to have a shower.
The room was very small and had holes in the wall.
WiFi was good.
Instructions for access were good.
General condition of the interior was poor.
- Javier (7/5): Good -
- Irina (3/5): Poor -
- Repique (8/5): Very good - Location Too much people for just 2 toilets
- Fairouz (9/5): Superb -
- Graeme (4/5): Disappointing - Not much. When people talk about scummy Airbnb / property owners, this is it. A house converted into as many possible bedrooms as possible. Not even that cheap. The fact that these can just exist with no license is mad. Ruining the property market. 1 shower for the whole "house"
- Marian (7/5): Good - The easy access very good system.
Fantastic facilities The light in the shower needs to stay on a lot longer. It goes off after a few seconds making showering very challenging.
- Mosley (7/5): Good -
- Beata (10/5): I recommend - Easy check in, house was clean, beds were comfortable. Fully equipped kitchen. Kettle in the room. Very good location. Close to the shops ( Aldi, Tesco), close to the Rail station and bus station. Area was very quiet and we slept like babies. Good place for relax. N/a
- Gray (9/5): Superb -
- Francesca (9/5): Superb -
- Antoine (7/5): Good -
- Christopher (5/5): Passable -
- Edward (1/5): Dreadful. Never book this. Save your money and go somewhere else. - There is nothing to like. Except leaving.
No one should be allowed to charge money for staying here. It is, at best, false advertising, at worst it is deliberately misleading. This is not fit for humans to stay in. If it were an abattoir it would shit down for being unsafe. Everthing is dirty and broken. Even the lamp shades. How do you even break a lampshade? Awful shared toilets. If the parent company (mySTAYINN) is allowing people to trade under their name they should check the properties being sold on booking.com. We will be asking for a full refund compensation for this stay. A truly awful experience that I want to forget as soon as possible.
- Edward (1/5): Rancid. Avoid this place at all costs. - Nothing. It was genuinely one of the worst experiences of my life (and I’ve been to Wales).
I will be asking for not just a full refund but compensation for the experience. We had just returned from 5 days wild camping and were tempted to get back into a cold, wet, filthy tent as it would be more pleasant than being in this ‘property’. Everything is broken and/or dirty.
I cannot emphasise how bad this place is.
It’s like being in a crack den but with none of the amenities.
The company who owns this property should be ashamed. False advertising and a health and safety risk to anyone staying here. It ruined an otherwise great stay in Scotland.
- Vighnesh (8/5): Awesome experience with nice and clean place. - It was nice and clean, whole house has 2 bathrooms and 3 toilets so no problem with not having to wait. Kitchen was clean and tidy with enough things to cook and store in fridge. Location from city centre it’s 15-20 mins walk.
- Tanzina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Samantha (3/5): Shame the fake walls let this property down, not the place to stay if your looking for a lie in from being up late night - Location They are not proper walls inside instead cheap plasterboard so extremely hollow and no sound insulation meaning you can hear everyone else.
- Ewa (5/5): Just passable... - Equipment: washing machine and dryer available, kettle in the room, fridge, etc 1 shared tiny bathroom (toilet & shower) for 6 (double) rooms - continuously occupied and not all that clean.
The room i stayed in was tiny and had a cupboard with all the electronics (modem, wifi etc). The cabinet was right next to the bed (not great to sleep next to) and the cupboard was very warm, warming up the tiny room to uncomfortable temperature.
Windows do not open fully.
Bed very soft and very concave (dip in the middle)
No bedside lamp, no proper blinds that block the light.
- Liam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brian (5/5): Passable - Location Room ,poor showers ,having to go down two levels to use facilities.
- Michelle (1/5): Bad - Nothing we walked out and didn't stay Room was tiny and shared bathroom facilities even though I asked for ensuite.
- Myat (7/5): Good -
- Paul (5/5): Ok - Location Only stayed one night and there was no option for refund
- Tracy (9/5): Superb -
- Samantha (6/5): Pleasant - Great location All bedroom doors have catch locks on which slam shut and make loads noise. Not great if you’re trying to sleep from working night before
- María (6/5): Acceptable for a short stay, do not expect too much comfort - Room looked like the photos.
Hairdryer available, kitchen furnished with enough utensils Very poor noise insulation, small spaces in general, only one small shelf as storage space in our room.
not very practical breakfast/eating area, with few spaces available.
- Richard (6/5): Budget accomodation in a house in a quiet corner of Inverness. - There was a chocolate bar and packet of crisps waiting in my room on arrival. The bed was reasonably comfortable and a towel, kettle and sachets of coffee and tea and UHT milk sachets were provided. There was only one bathroom to serve several rooms and the light in the bathroom kept flickering. The property was a little difficult to find. That said, the property is in a quiet neighbourhood. My bedroom was on the small side and up some rather steep stairs.
- Mark (6/5): Pleasant -
- Mick (7/5): Good - Showers on different floor from room.
- Russell (7/5): Suited me well and might go again but I feel I might find somewhere equally suitable but cheaper. - Nice kitchen and nice to have a dining table in the living/dining room. Location is 2 minutes walk from The Ledge indoor climbing/bouldering wall. Shower room was a bit tatty.
- Martina (5/5): Passable -
- Sophie (4/5): Disappointing -
- Cecilie (1/5): Bad - It was cheap I found bed bugs on the fourth night. I got moved to another place to stay for my last two nights, but I was too late. And now I’m covered in hundreds of bites. I hope they do something about this bug-inferstation. It also smelled wierd in the house
- Cat (5/5): Passable - Was clean. Room was tiny. Didn't expect it to be so small.
- Perks (4/5): Disappointing -
- Patel (6/5): Pleasant -
- Kseniia (9/5): Superb - Check in / check out are very simple, the room provides a hair dryer and kettle. The shared kitchen has the stove, fridge, microvawe and utensils. Everything to eat in, if so desired.
The room is like on the pictures, also matches everything from the description, bathrooms are cleaned every day (few shared bathrooms, not one). You can hear the neighbours, but, tbh, after a full day of travelling/walking, that is not a problem (pretty quiet during the night). A bit further from the city center, but not that far.
- Carina (7/5): Cosy and functional. Online checking worked great. Not too spacious but worked for us. - The house is small and cosy. There is a great kitchen and enough showers/toilets for everyone. The room was kind of small and there was not enough storage room for clothing etc. You could also hear the room neighbours talking.
- Donna (6/5): Pleasant - Good location and easy to get there. Small attic like room. Slanted walls on one side of the bed, banged my head a few times.
- Beauregard (5/5): Passable -
- Luis (5/5): Passable -
- Babatunde (8/5): Very good -
- Phillps (5/5): Room was OK and was ok for 1 night but wouldn't book again. - room was clean and bed was satisfactory communal areas left a lot to be desired. The shared bathroom light kept going off after a few seconds and had to be switched off and on again which was a pain. Didn't stay my 2nd night, drove home.
- Mills (8/5): Very good - Great location, it always felt easy and safe. Everyone in the house was very respectful of one another and always instantly cleaned up after themselves. Most areas were always clean. The rooms felt cosy and welcoming. Walls were perhaps a little thin as there was always a lot of noise from next door rooms, although they generally kept quiet from 11pm so alright. A couple of the bathrooms had some moldy shower handles but other than that kept perfectly clean.
- Bette (2/5): Very poor - I could do laundry & cook (after I cleaned). Mold in the shower, bathroom floor often wet as flooring was rippled, room/property smelled of smoke (saw tenants smoking in doorways), curtain rod hanging off wall - difficult to close curtain, wall repairs badly plastered and not painted, bathroom at top of 8 stairs, chair in bedroom very unstable, bare light bulbs on bedroom lamps, ceiling fixture full of bugs, had to clean dryer before use, large item (maybe twin mattress) left in narrow entrance hall for entire stay, room mattress well used, carpets old & tattered, cameras,
- Babatunde (8/5): Very good -
- Liam (7/5): Cheap and cheerful, with no complaints - Bed was comfortable. free wifi with no issues. nice location with city in walkable distance, and nearby shops and restaurants. Location was easy to find. Only shower was on a different floor. Third floor toilet light was not working for most of my stay but was fixed.
- Graham (7/5): Good - Location good. £30 cleaning seems a bit excessive for vacuuming a small room, a bit of dusting and changing the bed. Lights in the entrance way didn't work.
- Margaret (8/5): Very good -
- Jessica (6/5): The bedroom was clean. It is suitable for a short stay. The location is good close to the cab Center. The bedrooms are t - The bedroom was clean overall although the carpet would need a deeper cleaning. It felt more like a hostel. It is fine for a quick stay. The bedrooms are too close to each other.
- Lucas (1/5): Bad -
- Alex (6/5): Pleasant - Comfortable room and location
- Team (9/5): Superb -
- Susan (9/5): Superb - Comfortable and relevant facilities
- Dave (10/5): Exceptional - It was very good clean accommodation, comfortable and modern, facilities were good with easy check in. No issues
- Ruairidh (6/5): Good price and good location - Check in was easy. Room was clean. The crisps were a nice touch. The bed was comfortable and it was warm. I didn't read the description properly and it was shared bathroom.
