• brittani (1/5): Junior Suite Hot Tub Filthy Producing Dirt Suds - The location was good. Be prepared to walk lots of steps. I was our 10 year anniversary, we planned well ahead to spend time at this beautiful villa. We went the extra mile to book the junior suite which was beautiful until we turned the hot on. The jets were filthy, producing lots of dirt subs, when issue was presented to the desk they basically said it was clean and it's not their fault and didn't even attempt to take any accountability after paying over $1200 for one night at this place. I would not recommend one this account alone.

• Vicki (10/5): - Amazing property with sea views and access to Beach Club for 25-45 euros a day. Be prepared for lots of walking and 400 stairs to beach club. Use a porter for your luggage. The breakfast is included and delicious. Hotel staff is so helpful and friendly. They also give you a thank you gift when you check out. We stayed two nights and wished we had booked our entire trip at this location. Love the property and location in old historical location. We will be back, thank you for such an amazing stay.

Te ofrecen todo lo necesario desde el primer momento para que la estancia sea de lujo con una predisposición inmejorable. Todo está impoluto y huele deliciosamente. Además, es la mejor cama en la que hemos dormido nunca con unas vistas espectaculares. Quizá podrían poner en el desayuno una carta con las opciones que ofrece el cocinero. Nosotros preguntamos que si podrían hacernos unos huevos revueltos y nos lo hicieron inmediatamente (buenísimos, por cierto), pero en ningún lado lo indicaba. El resto es maravilloso y le pongo un 10.

• Thomas (10/5): Simply the best - I don’t write many reviews but I’ve spent the past year mostly living out of beachfront Airbnbs and 5 star hotels and Villa Francesco stands out as my favorite of all our stops. The location is great - there's plenty nearby and everything's walkable but you're also slightly removed from peak craziness of summertime Positano. Carmela is one of those rare people who just exemplifies hospitality like few do - her and the team were proactive and took phenomenal care of us, helping paper over my mediocre planning and making sure the trip was exceptional and not just really good :) We stayed in the Punta Reginella suite and can’t wait to return. We visited ~6 weeks ago and while I've stayed at several great properties since, I keep finding myself remembering how every little detail was perfect at Villa Francesco where others miss the mark...small touches like a small view window from the shower that allows you to look out at the sea below make it so you enjoy literally every moment there.

Room (yellow) was Impeccable with stunning sea views and very comfortable with every little detail thought out with excellent housekeeping service and staff in general. We are vegetarians and hosts ensured we were well taken care of for the breakfast.Highly recommend staying here. There's nothing really to dislike but the only con is that you don't get to see the classic positano cliffside from the villa. Nonetheless it has sea views which is stunning and pictures dont do enough justice.

• Corry (10/5): Fantastic! - We stayed in the truly beautiful Sponda Junior Suite with a large terrace with fantastic views over the sea. The room is super clean and has a very spacious lovely bathroom with shower. The hotel is in a quiet location just a 20 minute walk to the centre. It is a beautiful walk with views of both the route via the main road along restaurants (first restaurant in the bend is recommended!) and shops as well as via the stairs down along the Fornillo Spagia. Delicious extensive breakfast with beautiful views over the sea and the chef makes delicious dishes on request such as an omelette or scrambled eggs and a cappuccino. Very friendly and helpful staff and delicious room service! Your suitcases are brought up and down the stairs and they wait with you for the taxi if arranged through the hotel. In short, the best hotel we have ever booked. Thanks to the staff! Nothing!

• Denise (10/5): Luxury stay in stylish villa away from the crowds - Beautiful stylish property. It was so much more luxurious and grand than is apparent from the website photos. Everything is super clean, luxurious and well thought out. Comfortable beds. The balcony patio. The shower with the hydro massage and beautiful tiles. We loved everything about our stay here. Once you climb the stairs to the property (there are a lot!), you can walk to restaurants and shopping without going back down.

The room was exceptionally clean along with the rest of the property. The staff was incredible. They were absolutely on it/top notch the whole trip. They meet you at the drop off point for the hotel and help get your luggage down all the stairs. Because it’s a small boutique hotel they remember their guests. Every morning when we came down to get breakfast they quickly cleaned the room realizing we were out of the room. The room was spotless when we came back up from breakfast every day. Breakfast was great overlooking the water. They’ll make you fresh cappuccino’s every morning or omelettes which were great. Our room had the out door hot tub which was INCREDIBLE. Well worth the extra money. We will absolutely stay here again, no doubts at all. We loved everything, no complaints

There are a lot of stairs —but that Positano. My knee was a bit sore towards the end of a 12 day trip. But this is totally fine-the exercise was good for me. Just don’t go if you’re not up to it

Positano is expensive but still even for the special room this is in relation to other places a bit pricy for what you get. Breakfast could be a little bit more local. But this is “complaining” on a high level.

• Kaur (10/5): Wonderful staff and amazing amenities. - We did an Italy tour and out of all the hotel this one was exceptionally beautiful, clean, had great service and amazing views. It was located on the edge of the cliff so you have to take many stairs to get to your location. I would suggest taking the main road and then stairs down to the hotel. Much shorter path than going from the port. Mainly the stairs but you cannot avoid them in Positano if you want the amazing views.

• Bhawandeep (10/5): - We stayed at Villa Francesco for 2 nights and I have to say it was my favourite stay throughout our entire 2 week vacation. The staff are super friendly and helpful. They gave us a full walkthrough of our room when we arrived which is nice in case you have any questions about how things work in your room. They offer free baggage service when you arrive and if you need baggage service to another resort in Positano or to the Port, they offer that for $15 per piece of luggage which is very helpful due to all the steps, we were staying in another resort for 1 more night in Positano and our bags arrived within 20 minutes. If you have any questions during your stay, you can easily message them on WhatsApp. The breakfast was included and it was one of the best inclusive breakfasts we've had. We usually opt out of this option because of how mediocre the breakfasts are, but this one definitely surpassed our expectations. The views are incredible and the beach is not too far. This hotel is located on top of the Fornillo Beach which is around 400 steps away from the hotel and Positano Beach is not too far, there is a path to take you to the Positano Beach from the Fornillo Beach. Fornillo beach is nice, quiet and less people so if that's what you're looking for, it's perfect but again, Positano Beach is not too far either. We loved our stay and if we ever come back or need to recommend a place to our friends or family, it will definitely be Villa Francesco!

The hotel itself is even more beautiful than the photos, with everything spotlessly clean and an amazing view. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. It’s conveniently located near Fornillo Beach, which is quieter and more comfortable than the main beach. Ask the reception about renting a boat—it truly elevates the Positano experience. The only minor drawback was the 400 steps to the shore, but it’s a great daily workout. Parking is generally a challenge in Positano, but the hotel has an arrangement with a paid car park.

• Jeremy (10/5): Incredible - The nicest room i've ever stayed in, *especially for the price*. The room was *huge*. Had a separate bathtub and a heated indoor jacuzzi with waterfall and airjet settings. There was also an enormous private terrace (easily 500+ sq ft/55+ sq meters) that was well furnished with lawn chairs, a shower (with hot/cold water), and a bed. The breakfast was great and provided an incredible view. Would be great if there was a way to temporarily stop the jacuzzi from circulating. The sound of the waves from the circulation can be a bit loud at night. It also makes the room humid if you leave for a while without leaving the windows open. This wasn't a big deal for us as the AC worked well and cleared the room in a few minutes. The hotel is also a bit far from the beach so be prepared to do some walking (although Positano is probably the wrong place for you if you're not ready for a lot of stairs)

Warm welcome, friendly and attentive staff, valuable advice to explore Positano and the surroundings, choice and quality of breakfast, clean and comfortable rooms, breathtaking view... • Joanna (9/5): Sensational and will be back - Stunning hotel with amazing view of the sea from our room. Steps to the hotel from the main room aren’t easy in the heat. Be mindful if you have cases. Luckily the porter there helped us with our cases to the main road.

Staff was very helpful, sent a porter to pick up bags, helped with information getting around town and scheduling baggage to be delivered to ferry when we were leaving. Lots of stairs, 97 to get down (or up) from the Main Street to hotel. 400+ stairs to get from hotel down to beach and then another 200 or so get from beach over to main port area of town. Hotel is located a little far from center of town.

• Anousha (10/5): Location, location, location! - The property was in a beautiful location, above Fornillo beach. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was amazing…free coffees on tap and chef looked omelettes at your request. The rooms were faultless. The beds were comfortable with clean and white linen. Beautiful outdoor shower. Super comfortable. Slept like a log! Highly recommend staying here and getting out of the hustle and bustle of the main tourist area. Main street easily accessible via interno bus or a walk along the main road. Like anywhere in Positano, you have to walk up many stairs to get any where. This hotel is 500 steps up from Fornillo beach. Not for the faint hearted, but that is the experience you have in Positano and is not a flaw of the hotel at all!
