• Hélène (8/5): C'est très bien malgré la lenteur et coupure du wifi. - l'emplacement près de tout. Confort dans un petit appartement! Malheureusement, le wifi n'était pas fiable, lent!

• Tanya (1/5): Dirty apartment and unprofessional management - A very unpleasant experience! We arrived at the property at 3:00 PM, but no one was there to meet us. We had to call at least five times before someone finally answered, and we waited about 40 minutes outside with our luggage. When we were finally given instructions on how to enter, we found that the apartment was not cleaned after the previous guests – as shown in the photos I’ve attached. The person on the phone apologized and said the apartment would be cleaned, and that we could come back in an hour and a half. However, after that time, they called again and said we couldn’t stay because there was supposedly an electricity problem, and we should come to collect our luggage. When we arrived to pick up our bags, there was no electricity issue at all, and the apartment had already been cleaned – but we were still not allowed to stay. As a result, we had to urgently look for another place to stay at 6:00 PM, which ended up being more expensive than our original booking. I strongly do not recommend this property – the organization is terrible, communication is slow, and the attitude toward guests is completely unprofessional.

• Zygmunt (10/5): - Apartament okazał się strzałem w dziesiątkę! Bardzo czysty, nowoczesny i komfortowy – wyposażony we wszystko, co potrzebne na wakacyjny pobyt. Lokalizacja rewelacyjna: wszędzie blisko, a jednocześnie można liczyć na ciszę i spokój. Wszystko OK

• Claudia (10/5): Exceptional - The location of the apartment is perfect, right at the center of the city. The room overlooks an internal courtyard and it is very quiet. The bed is comfortable and everything was very clean. Stefano was very kind in taking care of all our requests.

• Marco (6/5): Good for a short stay - needs new towels though. - Location is great to get into the old city - only a very short walk. Room is big. David was a nice guy and helpful. Quiet place - and I had a good night sleep. Bed was form but comfy. Shower was a bit ordinary - as a lot of Italian showers are. Linen and towels had a bit of a smell that wasn’t so pleasant. Thats the only thing that put me off really. Parking on the street was not easy on a weekend - but on a Monday it’s become a lot easier.

Safe and quiet building. Comfortable bed and super clean. Small but clean bathroom A chopping board and knife in the kitchen would be great.

• Perlovec (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice and very well equiped (cooker, dishes, basic ingredients, hair dryer, umbrella) apartment nearby the historic city centre. The owner was nice and helpful. As a welcome present we obtained local red wine and a small snack. After long journey by train it was a nice surprise. The house is very nice, clean and in the safe location, just few minutes walk from the historic city centre. To the train station/ bus stop to Otranto it is about 15 minutes walk. We appreciate the quit and the privacy. The apartment is very well funny decorated (David), but a little bit dark (just one window to the courtyard of the house). If you stay for a few days, this is absolutely not a problem.

• Charis (9/5): Enjoyable Stay - Location ; walking distance of train station. In hot heat with carry on luggage it took 21 mins. I took a taxi which cost €15 when I arrived which I know was a rip off but I was tired and hot when I arrived. The walk from Lecce train station is actually very easy and the property is so close to a number of shopping districts and supermarkets no more than a 5 min walk away. There are lots of b&bs but I think the advantage of this one is GENERALLY no street noise (please see the next section for exceptions). The window faces onto a type of courtyard so there is no street noise from the general public. Along with the room, living and dining area there is a Kitchen, with microwave, fridge/freezer, two point stove, side bar. There is a small bathroom/ shower area with bidet. I am 5'6" and if you are a tall person you *may* find using the w.c. a squeeze. Warm welcome from Stefano. Really helpful and nothing is too much trouble for him. I think his friendly manner definitely adds to the David's Room experience. Things I would have wanted to know before arriving. I brought those wax mould ear plugs for the flight. I didn’t have to use them for the flight in the end but it turns out they were useful because although there is no street noise from the general public there WERE building works (May 2023) and that first morning the building works were loud and early! They started around 6am (I guess to beat the very hot weather). The interesting thing is that typically I am a very light sleeper and that sort of thing would drive me up the wall. However I found that the wax ear plugs did the trick. One morning I heard them start and without ear plugs went right back to sleep again. Parking: I didn’t drive and I might consider that next time in order to make a trip to the beach. However If I did hire a car I would definitely make enquires about parking facilities/ rules/ costs first. There were a lot of cars parked around on all the streets and I'm not sure I saw many vacant spaces. In summary, if I had the opportunity to stay at David's room again I **WOULD NOT** hesitate to book the room again.

Suitable for a longer stay. There is a kitchenette. The host is extremely kind and helps with whatever he can. I strongly recommend.

• Nycalfie (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful apartment in a posh building right in the center of Lecce. Easy parking (you can use the easypark app). If you stay in lecce you don't need the car at all. Everything is right at your doorstep. Grocery stores, restaurants etc. Stefano is extremely hospitable and attentive. The space is spotless, fresh, airy and just full of good vibes. I will definitely come back. Grazie Stefano!!

• Andrea (9/5): Superb - Super comfortable bed, beautifully decorated apartment, wonderful coffee machine and loved the complementary bottle of wine. Great location and very quiet building. Has lots of storage and a nice table for dining. Check in was an hour delayed and the kitchen could use a few items for those who like to cook - no bowls, only one tea cup and no kitchen knife or cutting board.

Bed very comfortable, all perfect for one or two guests. Especially loved the nice touch of the Prosecco!;)
• Mohammed (5/5): beautiful and sad room - the room was clean and the owner was helpful and nice. and they had wine prepared for us and extra towels and pillows were provided the first two days we had no wifi and the building doesn’t support phone connection. after that the shower heater got broken and the tiles in the bathroom got ripped off which was so sad to deal with. the owner always offered help but we hadn’t had time for workers to come and walk through the room with dirty boots and leaving it smelly. I would’ve loved to come back to the room but this would be scary to do.
