Guest Reviews
- Martina (10/5): -
- Mommaerts (8/5): Ideal if you don't want to spend a ton on a room. - Good upfront communication with the owners of the appartment.
Although room only available at 4pm, they offered to change clothes in the hallway.
Possibility to order breath every day, delivered at room door. Not really applicable.
Maybe a TV would be nice to have.
Then again, getting out for diner & discover the little town of Warth.
Or get to the resto under the appartment.
- Calin (1/5): Noisy, Overpriced, Misleading, and Lacking Privacy: A Totally Disappointing Stay - Maybe not terrible - I suppose it could be worse - but certainly the most disappointing accommodation I’ve experienced in Austria, where I’ve been traveling for over 25 years! There is a big difference between a rustic room and a very basic one, especially at such a high price. Unfortunately, this accommodation did not meet the expectations set by the description and photos. The room was much smaller than it appeared in the pictures, which were clearly taken with a wide-angle lens to make the space seem larger.
The so-called "kitchen" was a major disappointment—it was not a proper kitchen but a tiny area where kitchenware was stored. It was barely usable, with just enough space for one person to operate the electric stove, and no room for anything else.
The biggest issue, however, was the constant noise and lack of privacy. The room, which is not an apartment as advertised, was located on the ground floor with windows directly facing the street. The house was not soundproofed, and the room’s entrance opened onto a shared hallway. The host's friends and their children (who were otherwise lovely) frequently walked or played right outside the door. The noise came from all sides- there was incessant stomping from upstairs, chatter and movement in the hallway, and street noise outside the windows. At times, it felt like staying in the middle of a busy public space rather than a private room.
The problems didn’t stop there. On the second day, the toilet clogged, not due to anything we did, as we are seasoned travelers who have never encountered such an issue in decades of travel. Instead of apologizing for the inconvenience, the host accused us of causing the problem! Worse still, they attempted to charge us €150 for unclogging the toilet (without providing an official receipt), claiming we used “too much paper.” This rude and accusatory behavior was a first for us in over 25 years of traveling!
Overall, this was a highly disappointing experience. The lack of privacy, constant noise, misleading description, and the host's unprofessional attitude left us deeply dissatisfied.
