• RunnerTony (10/5): Comfortable nest in a quiet neighbourhood - Very quiet neighbourhood (close to the cemetery), at short walk to Adrianou street, Panathenaic stadium and National garden. Smooth communication with the host, self check in. Stable internet. Adding some hangers for towels in the bathroom would greatly improve the experience. Also, some casseroles would be helpful for those who prefer cooking themselves. (Note: there are decent options to have a breakfast in several cafes just outside the building).
• Carl (8/5): Great location - Hosts were great and quite responsive and quick at resolving any issues we faced. The location was great, 10 minute walk to the acropolis (which is your closest metro station), and then there is a tram station much closer which is quite convenient. The location was easy to find if you use the pictures the host provided. The room is clean, and it resembles the pictures well. A huge bonus was that it comes with a washing machine (but no dryer). The HVAC unit is very powerful, it can do heating, cooling, and you can also use it as a dryer (like to dry clothes). It can heat and cool the room within a matter of seconds! The elevator was a little difficult to figure out, but there were people there that were happy to help and showed us how to use the elevator which was really nice. Elevator is incredibly small (which is pretty common in Europe). You can fit two people in the elevator, but if you have bags and suitcases then it's a bit hard. While the place was clean, the bathroom felt old and rundown. There is a separate hot water heater, you have to press a button to start generating hot water and you'll have to wait like 45 minutes for the hot water tank to fill before you can use hot water (this is standard in Greece). Once the hot water tank is fill, it has enough hot water for a 10 minute shower, if you take longer showers then you will run out of hot water and you will be showering in the cold. This hot water tank is an issue in all the places we stayed in Greece, so that's not an issue specific to this room. Also I woke up every day with new pimples, maybe the pillow cases weren't super clean, or maybe it was just a skill issue on my part, I'm not sure.

The location was great; you could walk to many places. The bed was very comfortable, and the house had everything you needed. There's also a small balcony where you can sit and have a coffee. The central heating system wasn't working, so you could get cold sleeping at night. Also, the air conditioning wasn't sufficient for heating. It would be much better if there were sheer curtains in the living room, just a suggestion! One door in the living room has a curtain-like section, but the other doesn't, so you're forced to close the curtains to prevent anyone from seeing inside, which prevents you from benefiting from daylight.

There was a drop of pee on the toilet seat when I arrived. And I could never get the hot water to turn on even though I pushed the button on the panel.

• Kerry (10/5): Lovely Chic Apartment - Beautiful chic apartment situated on the third floor that was exceptionally clean and very comfortable with everything you could possibly need, including a stove, microwave, cooking utensils, kettle, a Nespresso coffee machine, TV, air conditioner and even a washing machine. The bed and pillows were very comfy as well. Plus a small terrace facing the street with little table and chairs. Sockets for charging devices beside the bed were also very handy. Location was fantastic, within walking distance to most attractions and bus stops for day trips. No negatives at all.

Kitchen and bedroom amenities were very good. Excellent food, shopping and entertainment options in the neighborhood Not much. If something needs to be singled out it could be the small size of the bathroom

• Laurie (9/5): The right place at the right time in the right area of Athens. - We loved the location of the apartment in a relatively quiet neighborhood, and found it had everything we needed, especially the washer. We prefer to make some meals ourselves, and we often need a bit of extra space to spread out because of this. This property had all those things. Also--excellent shower (very important!), excellent wifi and a bonus--the restaurant on the corner makes fresh bread and the smell of freshly baked bread in the evening was wonderful. Located pretty close to the Pantheinic Stadium, which is a must-see, and not far from Hadrian's Arch, the location couldn't have been better. Everything was just a 10 to 15 minute walk away. And our host was incredibly responsive when we had some questions. Couldn't have been better! Oh, did I mention the terrace with the little solar lights? One more charming detail. :-) We did have a couple of things that needed to be attended to in the apartment, and we were initially confused about where the key box was located BUT the host was absolutely responsive and helpful. I was VERY impressed and it made me like the apartment even more!! Ok, and the elevator is a little weird if you're from the States. Worked great, but very different than elevators we were used to! Also--you had to know where the light switch was on the wall to put the light on for the stairs. The first time I was stuck in pitch black, but once we knew, we were fine. Can't say enough about how great this location was!!

• Aleksej (10/5): Modern, Spacious Apartment, Walking Distance From Everything In Athens - The apartment is spacious, very bright, located in a great part of town, walking distance to the city center and the acropolis. Nina, our host, went above and beyond for us, recommended restaurants and things to do during our stay. We had a small problem with the water heater, but Nina took care of it and arranged an electrician the very next morning.
