Guest Reviews
- Paul (9/5): - The location was ideal for what we wanted. Plenty around in terms of shops and take-aways. We were using the accommodation as a base camp for our day trips out. The only thing was private parking which wasn't a problem really as we parked just around the corner on the bridge of the canal for free for 3 days.
- Rachel (8/5): Lovely, well appointed Mytholmroyd apartment - Lovely, clean, well equipped apartment in the beautiful Mytholmroyd, between Hebdon Bridge & Halifax, overlooking the Calder river and a stones throw from the Rochdale canal
Super comdy beds and beautiful crisp white bedding.
Perfect facilities for self catering but also plenty of eateries & takeaways within a few steps. The fabulous Blue Teapot cafe next door does a gorgeous breakfast menu.
Regular buses in both directions, so easy to get around without needing the car
- Carol (8/5): Enjoyed stay. Would use property again - Location was good. Close to train and bus services. Bathroom spacious. Bed comfortable.property clean light and airy. Good for 2 people but may be more difficult for larger group due to the sloping ceiling in bed 2.
- Alison (10/5): modern, cosy and warm, excellent location, stunning views. - Clean, modern, cosy and warm, excellent location, stunning views, great hosts.
- Mark (9/5): Excellent stay, great place, really clean and lovely bathroom. Thanks. - Spotlessly clean, good facilities. Better parking options would be great.
- Douglas (8/5): Lovely apartment but not suitable for elderly people due to stairs .However would definitely recomme - Location was excellent as near to shops and parking.Very nice view over the river.Although on busy main road it was very quiet inside due to very efficient double glazing The stairs up to the apartment and bedrooms were quite steep for a couple of octogenarians to cope with!
- tracey (10/5): Superb - The location was great, with Lovely views of the river.
It was spotlessly clean and had everything you needed.
- Phil (10/5): -
- Barbara (9/5): Really enjoyed it, very professional service. - The location was great, the communication was really good and the hosts had thought of everything. The stairs were very steep but that is typical of the houses in this location and would not be an issue for most people.
- Elaine (10/5): Few days away - The apartment was very clean, felt comfortable and had everything required provided. Nothing, it was all as expected and as described.
- Catherine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (9/5): A great stay in a beautiful well presented apartment - Lovely bright modern apartment, very well equipped, beds were really comfortable, beautiful bathroom and spotless throughout. Nothing
- Karen (9/5): Superb - Very clean apartment in a nice little town which is nestled between Sowerby Bridge and Hebden Bridge. It's above a takeaway, but I can say there was no smell or noise from below. Hosts had left everything we could need including spare loo rolls. Heating was easy to work and lovely and warm. Very modern large bathroom. We walked the canal path into Hebden Bridge which took about 45 minutes and another day along the canal path to Sowerby Bridge, beautiful scenic walk what took about one and a half hours. We ran out of water one day after 3 showers, not sure why this happened, but all OK the next day.
- Matt (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tom (9/5): Superb -
- Anne (10/5): Excellent - Apartment was clean, welcoming and cosy Excellent instructions. Great location. Heating was set too high but easy enough to turn heaters off
- Craig (9/5): Nice cosy little apartment so handy for whatever needs uiu have. Lovely view across the river: - Property was closer to where we needed to be than expected. Very clean and well maintained. Very thing that we needed. Stairs were a little steep for my mum but other than that I have no complaints.
- Chris (9/5): Superb - Perfect location and very clean and comfortable apartment. Owners lovely and friendly Nothing not to like maybe another comfortable chair as settee only seats 3
- Jim (8/5): Lovely apartment, shame about storm Bert but can't do much about the British weather! - Stunning view and lovely apartment. The kitchen was very well equipped. Comfy sofa and great telly! Located in a notorious flood spot. I didn't know that when I booked, but storm Bert ensured I knew when I arrived. The apartment is upstairs, so not directly affected, but unable to get out for a couple of hours while the flood wardens and fire brigade did their thing on the road outside.
The stairs to the apartment and to the bedrooms/bathroom are very steep.
- Sally (9/5): Really cute, clean and comfortable in a lovely little village! - Great location and view of the river. Easy to find with instructions sent to us. Car park is literally a stones throw away and we paid using the app so was easy to renew. Was clean on arrival with everything I can think of that we would need. Close to many places, walked into Hebden Bridge along the canal with lovely surroundings but more like 35 mins than 20 suggested in description. Had a lovely time and would visit again. Could do with extra seating in living space, small extra chair wasn’t comfortable enough to relax in so suggest something more armchair like so a little more comfy. Also very very small but significant to us, no ingredients on toiletries in bathroom so couldn’t check for allergens but we bought our own anyway (my son has allergies)
- Justine (9/5): Superb -
- Jill (10/5): Exceptional -
- Helen (9/5): Lovely clean , new looking accomodation. - The main road in between the property and the river. The clanging of the church bell every 15 minutes.
Bed too hard.
- Adele (9/5): Superb - Location was great, in the centre of town close to amenities. Flat walk into Hebden Bridge along the canal.
Place was furnished well, modern and clean. Lovely to have a comfy sofa.
Will definitely look to book again when next in the area. Nothing we didn't like. Stairs were steep to access the bedrooms so just needed to be careful and use the handrail.
- Mark (9/5): Superb - 5 mins walk from Mytholmroyd train station.
Some nice pubs nearby
Lovely view from apartment
Apartment was spotless and well equipped
Good value if 4 people sharing
Buses stopped outside apartment No live TV - TV had to be watched through the catch up apps.
Apartment was on a busy main road, so couldn't have windows open despite the hot weather.
Parking is not at the property but in a public car park a few hundred yards from the property
- Lindon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lee (8/5): Nice & comfortable. - Free parking 😁 Up stairs & key box a little bit fiddly to use.
- John (10/5): Visit to Hebden Bridge - Exceptionally nice apartment,The finish in decoration was outstanding, great parking and location for surrounding area
Views from property a real bonus ,great cafe and pubs within walking distance ,and the standard of cleanliness was the best I have seen for a long time
All the important things for a great stay are in place here
Highly recommended ! Nothing not to like here tue only thing I would point out are the stars are quite steep in the appartment and if anyone has mobility issues it could be a problem for them ,but for most people should not be an issue
- Craig (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely apartment with comfortable beds Light in back bedroom is faulty.
- Nicolle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Renea (10/5): Exceptional - The flat was so cosy and welcoming. Exceptionally clean. The flat is so well placed to explore the Calder Valley with great pubs and shopping facilities nearby. I would stay here again and will recommend to friends and family There is nothing negative
- Phil (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vicky (8/5): Nicely Furnished & Clean Property in a Convenient Location - Nicely furnished, easy car parking, clean, well equipped kitchen, strong WIFI, available toiletries to use, secure, convenient location, easy check-in/check-out with lockbox (although it would have been helpful to specify that it's at the back door rather than front door). Comparatively small niggles for what was otherwise a fantastic stay but...It was made clearly known that early/late check in/out request would be at an additional charge. This is understandable but with a 10am check-out time I felt for the price we paid was a bit tight to not allow any slight flexibility without having to be charged extra. Also we were requested to strip the beds on check-out which again, I think for the price we paid was a bit tight especially when we only stayed 1 night.
The bathroom sink was on the small side and we were prevented from being able to adjust the room temperature of the radiators in the bedrooms. At night it got a little cold but you're unable to contact the host after 5pm (except for emergencies). Heating came on it the morning though which was cosy.
A full length mirror would have been a nice touch!
- Ruth (9/5): Stylish comfortable apartment - Everything appeared to be brand new and in great condition. It was clean and comfortable and great location for us to walk home from a family party in the village. I prefer a King size bed to a double.
- Neil (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicola (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful.apartment, very clean and well decorated Nothing. It was great.
- James (8/5): Very pleasant stay, would look it up again if we come back this way. - Lovely interior. Very comfortable and homely. Entrance was difficult to find. Probably didn’t help we didn’t get to the property until late and it was cold so we were in a rush to get inside, but the description and address gave no indication that the entrance was at the back of the building. Might be good to give some directions along with lockbox code message in future if possible.
- Stephanie (9/5): Superb - Location was really lovely and beds very comfortable. Great that toiletries, towels, tea, coffee and sugar provided. The property was very clean. The sofa isn't very comfortable. I assume it's new and it needs a bit of time to be used. The directions to the property were very clear but it would have been helpful if the directions included which apartment it was as there's two and I had to phone the mobile numbers to ask which one it was. For the price of the property it would have been nice if milk was provided.
- Murraigh (10/5): Lovely flat, fantastic location - Great location and really cosy comfy flat with lovely view of the river flowing by.
I will definitely consider staying here again when exploring the valley.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (9/5): Very pleasant - Spotlessly clean
New and modern decor
Nice touches like shampoo etc in bathroom / 2 hairdryers for both rooms
Nice to arrive to tea / coffee / milk after traveling
Only thing that would have been good in the kitchen would be kitchen roll but that’s a tiny detail
Will certainly look to stay again if back in the area
- Janet (8/5): Indoor Hillclimb! - Very well equipt and very comfortable.
A lovely property over looking the river. The STAIRS! it wasnt mentioned on the description that there wrre two flights of steep stairs. My friend has angina and really struggled. We would not have booked this property had we known. Also the directions for finding it were inadequate. I would sugest using a "what three words" location.
