• Michelle (9/5): Royal Mile apt - The location was excellent! We were right on the Royal Mile. Close to everything. There was a grocery store next door which was so helpful.There was an artist area across the street in an old church with unique items for sale. The apartment had great space for a family or group to spread out in the living room with three sofas and a love seat. Extra sitting areas were inside the 2 bay window turrets which was great for sitting and relaxing and watching out the window. Nice big table and chairs. . It was nice there was a lift in the building but an additional 10 steps should be noted for anyone with mobility issues . The big drying rack and gas fireplace in the living room were a plus The beds were hard and not comfortable but the sofas were very comfortable . The front door deadbolt had an issue with the knob that had fallen off and was a little tricky to use It would be helpful for the washing machine to have directions, which was true for most places we stayed. .

• Karen (7/5): Brilliant location and comfortable stay. - Brilliant location. Spacious, generally clean and comfortable apartment. Well stocked with toiletries and tea, coffee and milk which was a pleasant surprise. It’s a tiny bit tired, eg one of the bedroom windows couldn’t be locked shut and the bath, although clean looks a little worn. We also couldn’t work out how you lock the apartment door from the inside which we didn’t realise until after midnight.

• Karine (5/5): Passable - The flat was clean and spacious. A bit noisy during the night. We were charged £200 and never had our housekeeping deposit refunded for apparent water damage and broken glass on a picture frame despite the fact we absolutely deny being responsible for any damage. In my opinion it would only have cost about £50 max to repair the reported damage. I have attached photos below.
• Rose (10/5): Central location, stunning views, and exceptional hospitality - The apartment is centrally located with gorgeous views. We had an early morning flight, and Melvin kindly allowed us to drop off our luggage at the pizzeria across the street at 11 a.m. and offered an early check-in at 1 p.m. The apartment was spotless, and the beds were extremely comfortable. We only stayed one night—wish we had booked at least two!
• Kyla (7/5): Good - Very spacious, clean, close by to everything in old town, great views The only downside, and it was significant, was the noise. I don't think any of us slept very well as it's on a busy street with sirens, revellers, etc... Other than that, the place was very nice, very secure, and a very central location on a neat building and spacious apartment.
• Una (9/5): This apartment was a gem - very central and had everything we needed - definitely would recommend to friends and family - The property was spotless and so convenient to restaurants, cafes bars and shops all within walking distance. Furniture and decor a little tired but very clean and tidy

Great sized living space and living area and beds very clean. - Fairly easy collected from a restaurant a short walk away had to call them as door was locked but they answered quickly and gave keys over no problem. Bathroom needs updating. There was a lot of noise from outside and from the bathroom when the light was on.

• Sam (1/5): Excellent location - Large size and plenty of space They charged us £400 for a mirror that was cracked. It wasn't cracked when we left the flat, and they sent us photos three days after we vacated. They managed to take £400 out of our account, this is the issue, they have withheld our bank details and are helping themselves to what they think they are due . Do not stay at this apartment !!! They are involved in fraudulent activities ......who knows who they have done this to before, likely tourists who have been visiting from other countries.

Great size apartment, clean with all your needs accommodated for. Even had a Christmas tree up which was a nice touch for the time of year. Great central location. Would definitely recommend and stay again Only had one shower bathroom in the property which can hold 6 people..

Key collection is from a nearby shop. Once we had their mobile number we could arrange to collect/leave our bags, etc. Could do with some more crockery/glasses.

The beds were comfortable and the apartment has everything you need. It was a bit noisy in the morning but that was to be expected as it is at a junction.

• Brian (10/5): Great location and comfort. Would recommend this place - No breakfast but very close to Starbucks. Great location looking down on Royal mile. Got loud at night as people partied well into the morning. Very roomy apartment. Big living room. My only complaint and it was unsettling at the time was that our key pick-up was at a restaurant that was not open for business at the time of check-in. Phone numbers weren’t working and we were nervous that we were being scammed. Got help from apartment building worker and finally got attention of owner for key turnover.

• Fiona (8/5): Stunning property - Beautiful, well furnished. Very clean. Perfect for long stays with a fully equipped kitchen and loads of room. Plenty of towels, wardrobe space and enough seating room for a family. So noisy at night. It was like the windows were wide open and there was noise all night until around 5am when it quietened until 7am. Bring ear plugs!

• Kari (9/5): Fantastic Stay in the Heart of the Royal Mile - Picking up the keys was pretty easy. We were earlier than expected, but they were responsive to my phone call and I was able to get them at that time. The views from this flat are spectacular and we loved just sitting at the windows and enjoying our time. The two rooms were well done and we had space for 6 easily. The kitchen had enough appliances for our short stay. The location just cannot be beat if you want to be in the center of things. I wish I'd known that the washer wasn't also a dryer - that was a surprise, but one we were able to manage around. If you have a larger group that doesn't always go around together, one set of keys is tricky, but again, very manageable with some planning. Overall, it was a great stay!

• Jean (10/5): Great find! - The apartment was huge, lovely layout with nice kitchen area and little turret windows with a view over The Royal Mile. Bedrooms and bathroom were good sizes too and nicely furnished. I slept on the sofa bed in the lounge and that was very comfortable. We stayed on Sunday night and there was some noise from the traffic and other activity on the Royal Mile. I just bought some ear plugs from Boots to use for our second nights stay. The quality of the apartment far outweighed this noise problem though.

• Paula (8/5): Location location location - The location could not have been better for exploring Edinburgh, situated on the Royal Mile with a view of Edinburgh Castle. The apartment was spacious and clean. Despite the negative things about the apartment I would definitely come back here. The apartment needs some attention. It was difficult to control the water temperature in the shower. The wash hand basin taps were loose, grouting around the tiles was badly done etc. There was a gap behind the kitchen sink that will eventually cause a problem because water goes down there when washing up. Some kitchen cupboards didn't close properly and there were only 3 wine glasses for 5 of us! The beds are very hard - my friend liked this, but personally I like a softer mattress. Despite those things was still a great place to stay.

Loose floorboards in lounge covered by rug, big dip could cause injury, very dangerous. Ceiling panel coming down in alcove corner, multiple lights not working some flicker all the time, stove top barely warms up never got hot enough to cook on, oven dirty, charcoal black elderly sausage in oven, bathroom hatch falling off, covers missing on both taps, side panels on bath coming off, toilet seat loose one side coming off hinge! not good enough for top money paid. location and plenty of room, are what saves this place,

• Christopher (8/5): Great location, huge place, very comfortable - The location of this apartment was incredible. The views of the Royal Mile were spectacular and it was right on the Mile and surrounded by shops, pubs and restaurants. The bedrooms were all comfortable and the living room and kitchen were huge. Getting the keys initially seemed odd, because of having to go to a pizza place to get them, but it turned out to be very easy. Overall, a very good place that I would stay in again. The one and only downside to this place is that it only has one bathroom. We have a family of five with three teens so there was a lot of yelling each other to "GET OUT"...lol...but ultimately we made it work.

• Lori (9/5): Superb - The location was amazing, we were on the 3rd floor so our view was beautiful of the Royal Mile. The hosts met us at a disclosed location to pick up our keys and it was a smooth checkin. The apartment itself was very spacious and clean. We were only there for one night and it was our last night so we did not really get to enjoy all of the amenities. I would definitely recommend this apartment as a home base!! If you are staying here, just make note if there was anything previously damaged as they put a damage deposit on your credit card. The door to exit the Building was a little finicky.. but overall it was a fantastic place to stay and we would highly recommend!! You won't be disappointed!!

• Hilkka (8/5): Magical Royal Mile outlook - The location was top notch and the view was magical, plus the apartment was very spacious. The apartment was a bit worn and tired and in need of a make-over. The bed and pillows were a tad uncomfortable.
• Elizabeth (6/5): Good location. Convenient to attractions and food. Rather tired interior. - Large lounge was excellent. Great views up the Royal Mile. Great location to walk to eateries, sites and hop on hop off bus. Kitchen was good. Lift access and secure entry was very good. There were no towel rails in the bathroom at all. With four people there was nowhere adequate to hang towels. There was no clothes dryer as described on the site I booked through. There was a clothes airer but it had a broken rail. The beds were firm to hard. The apartment is tired and carpets needed replacing and cleaning. The location was great but noisy with sirens and people noise through the night. TV had no instructions and two remotes which made it hard to work out what was available. The instruction sheet for the house needs reprinting as it is faded and the wifi code is almost illegible. It also has old Covid instructions on it that no longer apply.

• Julie (8/5): Huge apartment right on the Royal Mile - Lovely big apartment right in the centre of everything. Beds were comfy and there was everything we needed. Would not hesitate to stay here again. The apartment looked a little tired, particularly in the kitchen. There were lots of cupboards but all the crockery was really high up, making it hard for shorties like me. Being single glazed, there was quite a lot of outside noise.

• Kunyu (9/5): good - The location of the hotel is very good, there is a Pizza Hut downstairs, ordering take-out shopping is very convenient, very recommended to live The wooden floor in the room is a little old, and the walking sound can be heard clearly when getting up to go to the bathroom at night, and can be improved
