Guest Reviews
- thomas (9/5): - Clean and neat
- Joshua (8/5): -
- John (10/5): All round, excellent - The caravan was spotless and had some nice touches left by the owners for those visiting.
The owners left detailed instructions on how to find it.
Great value for money.
Idyllic location. Outwith the owners control but the site bar / restaurant was not open at the advertised times and only for a few hours at the weekend evenings.
- Martins (10/5): Caravan itself and whole park was realy nice! Lots of rabbits everywhere, so be careful!😁 - Living space and kitchen very nice and comfy! Clean, warm and bright. Good for value of money paid! Beautiful views around! Heater in one of bedrooms was noisy!
It felt like there is lack of public walking paths at a surrounding nature!
- Claire (1/5): Would not return - Spacious caravan. Caravan had not been cleaned before our stay, insecure window locks. We didn't stay here after I'd seen how dirty it was, I contacted the owner told them I wasn't staying in their van and asked for a refund which she did agree to after I'd sent photos of the state of it.

- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (10/5): Peaceful, tranquil, relaxing - The property was very clean, the owners had well stocked the property with little extras such as clean towels, tea and coffee supplies, washing up liquid, hand soap (we did not expect this)
The location was perfect, lovely views of the surrounding mountains….so idilic! Nothing it was perfect
- Terri (8/5): Very good - The views were amazing and very clean and easy access It's a caravan bed but manageable.
- Peta (6/5): Good for quick night stay after the ferry. - A good quiet location and good for a quick overnight stop after the Ferry from Ireland. 25mins from the ferry. A little bit hard to find the park in the dark. But the owners directions once in the park were good. You get what you pay for. Very good communication from the owner. Beds are small but comfortable no tea or coffee.
- Natacha (2/5): Avoid. - Host has made an effort with the interior decor. Completely unsafe.
Gas hob was faulty had to be turned off by the emergency isolation valve to then notice that the property doesn’t actually have any smoke alarms or carbon monoxide alarms.
Had a very sleepless night, beds were extremely uncomfortable and pillows were non existent.
Dirty crockery and unclean surfaces.
Windows don’t close properly.
Damp smell throughout.
Outside of the property was littered with rusty old bikes, over flowing septic/drainage tank.
Have tried contacting the hosts with no reply !
So glad this was just for the night to break up our journey and get the ferry in the morning.
Absolutely avoid. I don’t know how this has passed licensing and continue to accept bookings.
- Adina (5/5): Good location - upgrades would have made it a better stay
Upgrading the mattresses and pillows. - The location was beautiful and the accommodation was in a very private part of the park. The seats were covered in dog hair and sand which in turn we got on ourselves. The beds were rock solid with no substance to the pillows, we all had a broken sleep and woke up sore some way or another.
- Mckay (8/5): Very clean and comfortable. Would stay again. - Fantastic shower, WiFi, tv Not all windows closed securely which let a lot of outside noise in. It took a while to be able to connect the tv. The beds were small for adults
- Duncan (7/5): Great for cheap short stay. - Clean and a stunning view. The property was as described and handy to the ferry.
- Drew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Donna (10/5): Lovely caravan in beautiful, peaceful location. - Caravan is lovely, beautiful location and the site is very friendly. The van itself was clean and tidy, had everything required for a family of 6. The host kept in touch and communication was great. The on site bar was very reasonably priced and had a very friendly atmosphere. We didn't use the restaurant but the smell of the food was very tempting.
The kids very much enjoyed exploring the site and looking at all the beautifully decorated gardens that most of the vans have. There is lots of wildlife about too. It is very peaceful and quiet, just exactly what we were looking for. The beds were not the comfiest (we were in the main room) but was OK for a long weekend. There are no extra pillows so if you like high or more than one pillow, I suggest you take your own.
The pool on site was closed due to wrong PH levels but that was not an issue for us.
- Shonagh (9/5): Superb - A welcome pack containing information would be ideal. For example local emergency numbers, Doctor, hospital etc. Information on heating, WiFi password.
- Jennifer (5/5): Passable - Kitchen well equipped good tv and WiFi dog friendly Caravan quite dated seating area very uncomfortable and in need of repair beds uncomfortable and had no protectors on them just sheet and mattress the area itself was OK very peaceful although the private pool pub and amenities all closed and very dark at night
- Andrew (8/5): Very good -
- Martin (9/5): Amazing holiday. Can't wait for next year. - The caravan itself was amazing with enough space for the 5 of us, and a dog. It was clean throughout and the kitchen had everything you need, we even managed to cook a roast dinner. The surrounding area was fantastic with beautiful views where ever you looked and bunnies all over the place. There was a park onsite that the kids enjoyed. The bar onsite was great, reasonably priced and the staff were so friendly. The pool was unavailable for unknown reasons. Other than that there was nothing we could complain about
- Nicolas (9/5): Superb -
- Jonathan (10/5): 10 minutes to the beach and an amazing town, Girvan about 20 minutes away with a great cafe and chippy! Bicycle hire, am - Lots of space with everything you need. Plus some games to for rainy days Nothing
- Martyn (8/5): Peace and quiet apart from rain banging on roof in storm - The accomodation was fine for our purpose The rain.....
- Angela (9/5): Superb - It was a very peaceful stay in a remote area away from everyday busy life but not that far to travel to go places. The pool couldn't be used as it had been closed the day before. Wasn't a great deal on site for kids. Beds were comfy but pillows weren't which resulted in a sore neck in the morning.
- Yvette (1/5): Hated every minute, could not wait to leave - Nothing at all All of it, no facilities, in the middle of nowhere, nothing in any of the town and nothing for kids young or old to do. The only facilities on site was a bar and even that only opened on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday, would not reccome nd this place to anyone, would rate it as awful.
- Shruti (10/5): Exceptional -
