• Lindsay (4/5): I am still awaiting a refund of €501 - The day staff were great helpful & attentive The evening staff were not helpful with the problem I went to them with ,I wanted to know why I was charged €501 as a deposit on the day we arrived when my original deposit had already been paid at the some of £149 I was told I would just have to wait for a refund without any interest in my problem this was extremely unsatisfactory & a poor reflection of the company.

• Johann-Michael (8/5): Ein tolles Hotel tatsächlich - Alles gut soweit wirklich Lage mag ich persönlich sehr, Restaurants in der Nähe wobei Julians direkt im Hotel wirklich sehr gut ist … Das über BonVoy App viel zu teuer, angerufen noch teuerer wie in der Marriott App, Booking ist deutlich günstiger leider … das habe ich bislang in meinen 20 Jahren Reisen weltweit noch nie erlebt … 🤷‍♂️ Schade … wissen die Angestellten auch, nur das Management hat es nicht begriffen

Hotel was happy for cancel but booking com not willing. I supported booking for over 25 years only to get robbed of 1000 euros. Poor poor show from bookingi would have happily paid for your commission but no you had to take all. My wifes visa was cancelled so could not travel. Very disapoinred All of your actions

• Gut & Partner (6/5): Gute Ansätze, aber deutlich Luft nach oben! - Hotelbewertung Das Bett + Kissen war super bequem und die ruhige Lage ist wirklich top, perfekt zum Abschalten. Weniger gut war leider der Empfang: Die Leute an der Rezeption wirkten ziemlich verplant, und eine freundliche Begrüßung beim Reinkommen sucht man meist vergeblich. Ganz anders an der Bar – dort war das Personal sehr nett, wenn auch nicht immer vor Ort. Insgesamt fehlt dem Hotel ein bisschen die Herzlichkeit. Man fühlt sich nicht wirklich willkommen. Der Ausblick aus meinem Zimmer entsprach auch nicht dem Bild aus der Buchung – für den beworbenen Blick muss man wohl extra zahlen. Die Dusche in der Badewanne war ziemlich unpraktisch und unbequem. In meinem Zimmer waren außerdem zwei Lampen kaputt, und man merkt, dass das Hotel schon ein paar Jahre hinter sich hat. Ich wollte eigentlich noch ins Gym, aber beide Laufbänder waren defekt – schade.

• Christine (8/5): - Wie alle schreiben, sehr nettes Personal, die Lage mit schöner Hafenatmosphäre, Cafes und Bars, kurzen Wegen, guter Anbindung mit Bus und Bahnen... Die Pluspunkte sind gute Betten, eine schattige Terrasse für Frühstück oder einen Kaffee zwischendurch. Die Werbung durch die Zentrale oder Programmierung- das Bild auf Booking.com stimmt nicht, die meisten Zimmer blicken auf höhere Gebäude nebenan/ gegenüber, z.B. das Melia, man schaut sich gegenseitig hinein oder lebt ganztags hinter Vorhängen. Das gilt auch noch für den 7. Stock.. Eine Anfrage nach Zimmer mit Ausblick war negativ. Ein Upgradeangebot für ein Hafenblickzimmer kam dann aber doch, automatisch. Als ich es annehmen wollte, kam eine Absage vom Buchungsteam, es gebe keine Zimmer mit Ausblick. Vor Ort war das Hotel dann laut Personal sehr gering gebucht, aber vielleicht war ja doch die ganze Hafenseite in allen Stockwerken belegt. Ich hätte ja aber auch ein anderes Hotel buchen können, mit freier Minibar, Zimmer mit Ausblick, zwei Bettdecken statt einer für 2 Personen oder zwei Einzelbetten...

• Caroline (9/5): Lovely stay in Dusseldorf - spacious room, comfy bed, great location. Breakfast was lovely with a good assortment great food. Bathroom decor a little dated but still very clean and all in good working order and this is being picky!

• Jeremy (3/5): Well below expectations……. - Interesting location, with some nice views if you’re able to get a good room. 1) The pictures of the room that I booked had a clear view of the harbour, but mine had a view on the opposite side of the hotel, directly overlooked by several apartments. 2) cleanliness of my bathroom- there were a few hairs (at least 3) which where high up on the bathroom wall but still clearly visible (couldn’t take my eyes off the when taking a shower 😂), and these remained on the wall throughout my 4 night stay. 3) Toilet roll rationing - for some reason they are only allowing guests to have a single toilet roll in the room, and you have to go down to ask for more. I aim to not use more than one toilet roll each day, but I like there to be a spare in case more is needed (I hate worrying about running out of toilet role at those crucial moments 🥴). 4) towel quality and rationing - relatively small and thin bath towels, way below the quality of what I expect with a Marriott branded hotel.
