• amanda (8/5): Lovely location as very central. - Location was great in a peaceful area Didn’t expect a mobile home type of property. The 2 kitchen bins were not emptied from last visitors so one was over flowing, so we didn’t use the bins only a bag. The oven wasn’t cleaned either so a little greasy in the shelves and tray.
• Carol (9/5): Stay at the Peaceful riverside retreat - We stayed in Casita lodge 13 Convent Meadow. Fabulous location right by the water & the Abbey. Pet friendly with a great fenced off garden area so our 2 Labradors were safe to run around but stay contained. The lodge itself was very well equipped, very clean and comfortable. It only took about 10 minutes to walk to the centre of Christchurch where there are plenty of shops & places to eat. The hosts Candice & Dan were easily accessible via text. Would definitely stay there again in the future I gave a score of 9 out of 10 only because the taps in the kitchen & the main bathroom had small leaks. The decking steps leading down from the end of the lodge to the driveway have become wobbly. Although this did not cause us any problems, these small issues needed to be reported so the owners can carry out the relevant repairs in due course.

• Tash (9/5): - Location and complimentary sauna session. The accommodation was good and clean. The oven didn't work properly and there weren't any baking trays to use in the oven.

• Jackie (8/5): Lovely few days away - It was in a perfect location, a few minutes walk from town. The possibility of cheaply hiring out kayak/SUPs from outside the front door was the standout advantage for us. The owner was friendly and helpful. The holiday home needed a little maintenance. Christchurch is an expensive place to stay.

• Dan (10/5): Amazing Location - The location is absolutely stunning, the use of the Slomo sauna is brilliant and the property has everything you could need. Small touches like leaving croissants etc. are really great. The communication from Candice and Dan is great and they are so responsive. This was our second stay here and we will definitely stay again Nothing to dislike 😊

• Wilson (9/5): Superb - The situation is absolutely beautiful. You are in a lovely quiet spot right on the water but only a 10 minute walk into Christchurch Main Street Nothing! I can't think of anything not to like.

• Amy (9/5): Enjoyable stay - The location is brilliant, very quiet but close to the town centre. It really is peaceful, felt very private. Little patio area with chairs to sit outside and plenty of grass all around. Not enclosed garden for dogs but we didn't find this an issue. It was a warm week so the owners brought us a little gas BBQ which was a nice touch. Would definitely go back if in the area again. Might not be an issue for everyone, but the mattresses were quite firm for our liking and a couple of the rooms only had blinds, so quite bright in the mornings.

The 3 bedroom unit was clean and had what we needed for our week's stay. The location was fantastic - so close to Christchurch town and quay, yet so peaceful and lots of space to stroll around the waterside. The bedrooms and beds were on the smaller side.

Location is very tranquil yet close enough to walk into the town or down to the river. Property very clean, recently updated and very well equipped including some toiletries and useful kitchen bits and bobs. Games, various outdoor activities including tandem and paddle boards for the more adventurous! Dan and Candice are on site daily for any assistance you may need.
