• Saint surin (5/5): - The apartment was easily accessible. The landlord ability to control the heat in the unit from afar. And turning it off in the middle of the day/night in 10 degree weather. The rooms are directly on the streets, so difficulty sleeping I can hear all the cars etc driving on the roads. Which kept waking me up.

• Jagan (2/5): centralized heater was not at all effective. Damaged and flaky pieces of laminated wooden flooring. - There was no breakfast provided. The location is a big discomfort. If you are visiting NY for the first time in the intention of going to attractions, this property should be the last on earth. Because we spent more than $850 for the Uber in just 4 days. It says 4 miles or 5 miles but the uber cost is $35 to $55, sometimes $70. Clear and honest information about the duration of travel to Manhattan or any attraction by uber would be appreciated. Because 2 miles distance is nothing for people from other states. But in NY anything more than 1.5 miles is not worth spending time walking or for uber if you are in time crunch.

Salle de bains insalubre car l’évacuation des WC remonte dans la douche. Peu d’équipements dans la cuisine. Nous avons finalement décider de prendre une chambre d’hôtel le dernier soir pour avoir un minimum de confort.
• Naoures (1/5): Misleading listing and unlivable conditions that negatively affected our health — I strongly advise - The only positive aspect was that the host responded quickly to messages. However, the only solution offered was cancellation during the Christmas period, which was not a realistic or helpful option. The apartment was completely different from what was advertised. It is a basement unit with exposed boiler and water heater rooms directly next to the sleeping area, visible through wall panels and closets. The apartment was extremely dusty and poorly maintained, which triggered severe allergy symptoms and breathing difficulties. My partner, who has asthma, had to use his inhaler repeatedly. There was no cooking stove despite the listing photos showing one (only a microwave). The bed was broken, the apartment was very cold despite heating being advertised, and the overall environment felt unhygienic and unsafe. Bathroom fixtures were damaged, and warning signs threatening penalties were posted instead of fixing plumbing issues. This accommodation was not suitable for guests and did not match the listing description or photos.

• Douglas (1/5): Awful - Nothing. Absolutely nothing Basement cave. Way, way too expensive for what it is. Stayed one night and left to go to another place. Noisy. Heard people all night long. Do yourself a favor and never book this place.

La comunicación con la propietaria fue muy buena. Está un poco lejos de la parada de metro, pero eso ya lo sabíamos antes de reservar.

• Gamaliel I (8/5): It was fantastic - The property is so clean and well arranged. Better than what you see in pictures. You have own bathroom. Its in Queens and affordable. 5 mins walk to the bus station / 15 mins walk to train station, 40 mins away to Manhattan The only comment I have is for the toilet paper which you cannot flush in the toiletyou have to put then in the trash bin. This is understandable anyhow since the sewage system in New York is old and fheir is risk of clogging. Hope they can find a way to get away with it. Aside from this the property is clean and nice

• Giuseppe Antonio (7/5): Las fotos son de los tres apartamentos de la finca. - Las fotos son de todos los apartamentos, y hay tres, así que de partida no sabes cuál es el apartamento que estás alquilando. Pensaba que tenía una cocina, mientras me encontré con un office, solo tenía un microonda. Ojo con la denominación de Planta Baja, realmente es un sótano, y la planta baja es la 1, esto vale por todo los inmuebles en NYC. Tuve un problema una noche, para entrar ya que no encontraba la llave y la chica responsable me ayudó a resolverlo aunque mi inglés es realmente pésimo. Desde la llagada, con la empresa que me recogió desde el aeropuerto, la atención fue excelente :)

• Joachim (8/5): Decent place, close to transit, spacious apartment - The apartment was spacious. Had large bed that can fit two people easily, a good living room and kitchen for those who prefer cooking their meals. Also had a large fridge and small microwave. Bus stop is around the corner, it takes you to the metro after 5 stops. Location is in a moderately quiet street. Patrons were asked not to flush toilet paper as indicated by the sign due to old plumbing system, but instead to use the waste basket provided, which i think is very unsanitary. Also felt like privacy was lacking as people hanging out in backyard could look into the apartment easily.

• Fidishun (10/5): Great Value but could stand out with a few repairs. - Very clean, great location beautiful Dolores rose bush. It's worth the money. Get the 1st floor if you can. A few minor things need attention but I would definitely rent again. Broken slat in one futon, didn't need it. Water damaged floor boards by the kitchen are blackened. The water damaged table was bumpy and weirdly glued over. A few boards on the deck need attention, and the old fire pit caused melting of plastic decking(no longer there but the damage has not been repaired). With the hanging threat of paying for damage 500.00 and a 300.00 fine if your poop clogs the toilet...wasn't in the listing. With statements like that I would expect damage from previous people be actually repaired. Partway threw the day each day hallway had a weird smell. Not all the time. Maybe someone cooking Also one chair on the deck is rusted and bent there were plenty more but if the owner didn't know now they do.

The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, and the dedicated workspace made it easy to get work done. Plus, the location was close to the New York city center. Will definitely book again for my next trip!

• Nikola (5/5): Adequate stay for short period in NYC. - Safe location. About 15min walk to train and 30ish mins to Manhattan. Host was contactable and responsive. Unfortunately lost power 3 of the 4 nights I was there. Suboptimal heating, only 1 small portable heater for unit. Limited kitchenette facilities- has pot and pan but nothing to cook on. Limited utensils. No coffee supplied. No dishwashing products. Limited linen (no tea towel, bath mat, hand towel). Door locks are a bit dodgy at main door and entrance to basement. Not a biggie for me, but as it is the basement, can hear everything from tenants upstairs.

• Aurelia (5/5): Overpriced and just ok. Will not recommend and will not come back. - Far from everything not close as advertised- there’s only one deli nearby which has very limited choice of food. The fee included $120 to clean but they wanted us to clean the mess before leaving. It has very limited kitchen utensils. The counter in the middle looked good in the photos but it doesn’t even have an outlet and far from the sink. It just blocked the area. The photo showed a nice porch we were on the second floor and can’t access the porch. It said mild noise from the highway. It was loud, I couldn’t sleep and had to put on earplugs. The sheets don’t smell inviting.

The bus and trains were within walking distance as well as stores. The property was clean and very cozy. Beautiful apartments

• Dian (9/5): Everything we’re good starting from check in till check out. - It’s like an house with balcony n all the facilities are there. No extra mirror only at the toilet.
• Billy (6/5): Pleasant - The location is great. Convenient to public transportation and nearby groceries and restaurants. The second bedroom with a different entrance and key was very inconvenient, especially when you needed the bathroom in the other area of the apartment.

• Alexander (1/5): Misleading appartment - The apartment was not what we booked. There are 2, which is not clearly advertised. One with the nice kitchen and 2 bedrooms. The other is outdated, poor maintained and with the 2nd bedroom on the hallway, which is not workable with 2 young kids. After calling the owner there was no resolution arranged.
• John (1/5): Stay away from this Missleading Booking - Nothing as what was advertised was not delivered We booked a two bedroom apartment based on photos supplied. On the arrival date (4 July), were informed was two adjacent one bedroom apartments not connected and one of which had no facilities. There were burn marks on the table and cockroaches. Contacted owners who live in France and they admitted the photos were not those of the apartment we had rented. Had no choice but to stay first night and owners refused to refund balance.

The traffic was extremely loud right by the freeway. I’m used to sounds of the city and this was one of the loudest. But we got used to it. People should just be aware. The owner communicated this clearly to their credit.

The furniture (futon) was not clean, the living room table was not wiped off, the towels had stains on them, there were ants or termites (very small) on the floor in the kitchen and second bedroom.

• Ursula (3/5): Look closely n check what you want - For sightseeing trip to New York without too much expectations it is ok. Metro in 15 minutes and then 20 minutes to Central Station is ok. Owner answered questions quite fast but not too polite (perhaps weak english). There were multiple problems. Apartment was not cleaned properly. I had to find cleaning stuff outside the flat n cleaned myself before we were able to feel comfortable. Teacup I took from cupboard had still stains from visitors before. One of the towels was dirty. According to an additional message we should pay 120 $ for cleaning, which we won t agree when it will happen. Let's see what comes... Sleeping sofa is no sleeping sofa at all. We bocked that appartment as three single persons but we were not able to split in three rooms, as sleeping on that sofa is not possible. It is too short n has wood n hinges in the middle. The name peacefull appartment is absolutely not true. There is noise all night n day from surrounding streets. Frequently whole house was shaking when heave trucks are passing by. Only in confirmation two days before arrival the owner send a warning for noise, but that was too late to check for another place. The garden n patio as shown in pictures n discribed is not accessible at all. There is no possibility to sit outside. Electric kettle was slowest I have ever seen. It took approx 15 minutes to boil 1 litre of water ( - but that was the smallest issue from all.)
• Hadiza (8/5): Enjoyable. - Accommodating and close to shops and amenities. Too far from Times Square which was the purpose of the visit and cleanliness was not as expected.
• Mike (5/5): Extremely noisy right next to a very busy highway, but other than that the property was good. - Near to subway and local supermarket. Good setup for a short stay. ‘Peaceful house’ is very miss-leading. Unfortunately the apartment is right by a main highway exit and large busy junction. The owner did tell us two days before our stay, but that’s just a little too late to do anything about it. Everything else was fine with the property, but if you stay here I highly recommend ear plugs if you want to get a night’s sleep.
