There were also complementary coffee and tea all day as well as some bakery and snacks in the morning, which was a lovely touch. • Keith (9/5): Luxury accommodation about 1 km from Sapporo Station - Very friendly staff 10/10. Excellent breakfast buffet 10/10. Excellent room facilities. The interior lighting is unrelentingly dark. So dark that I couldn’t see the keypad in the lift to swipe my card. Same in the corridors leading to the rooms. My wife has asthma and I’m prone to allergies. I found that if I sat in the room near the aircon vent then I had a sneezing attack shortly after the aircon turned on, which begs the question- when did they last change the aircon filters?

• Robert (5/5): Location was great but we paid way too much (perhaps a Golden Week bump). - The location is very good. It’s close to public transportation and parking is much easier than downtown. The staff were wonderful and so helpful. The hair dryer was awesome and toiletries were top quality for my wife. The decor is dark, the WiFi was weak and had no password. The breakfast was disappointing and lacked enough Japanese food - caters too much to western visitors.

• Andrew (9/5): Our stay at Hotel Sosei was a luxurious and relaxing end to an amazing trip to Japan. - The staff at Hotel Sosei was incredible. We were welcomed warmly every time we came back to the hotel, and they ensured we had everything we needed. The decor was unique and left something new to be discovered each day - in a good way. We also enjoyed the hotel bar most evenings before venturing out for dinner, and both of the bar tenders we had were incredibly friendly and attentive. Our room was clean, and the turn down service each evening was such a lovely touch after long (albeit incredible) days. Although not inconveniently located, it was a bit of a trek between the hotel and train station with suitcases. If you're a light packer, it wouldn't be too bad. However, we visited Hotel Sosei at the end of a 2.5 week trip in Japan; and we were loaded down at this point in the trip. I think a nice addition could be a complementary shuttle, even if it only runs from the hotel to the train station and not the other way around. That being said, they quickly flagged a taxi for us the morning of check out so we wouldn't have to go back to the station on foot.

• Sarah (10/5): - This hotel exceeded our expectations. Exquisitely fitted out and the main bar in the lobby was so warm and welcoming with a fireplace creating a cozy atmosphere as the snow was falling outside. The staff were wonderful, the rooms spacious and comfortable. Could not fault!

• Nigel Rein (8/5): Wothwhile option in Sapporo as an up-market hotel with an unusual decor. - The room was a good size with good facilities- very large comfortable bed and a nice bathroom/ shower. The staff were very helpful and polite. The breakfast room had a nice ambience and there was a good food choice. The mall across the road has a number of restaurants to choose from and you can obtain a light meal in the hotel bar downstairs . The location is reasonable but not close to the main railway station.Taxi fare to railway station however was not expensive. The decor is strongly themed and not going to be to everyone's taste. I think the hotel is somewhat overpriced even taking into account the very decent room size and service.

• Oshima (5/5): おしゃれで雰囲気のいいホテルだけど車でないと不便 - デザインがおしゃれで趣がある。アーリーチェックインを依頼したところ、当日の状況によるとの回答だったが、当日早めにチェックインさせてもらえたので、とても助かった。また、浴室が独立したタイプだったので、ゆったりと浸かれたのがよかった。プレゼントされたバスソルトも香りも浸かり心地もよかった。 部屋が少しカビっぽい臭いがした。浴槽のところのお湯が出なかったので、仕方なくシャワーを使ってお湯を溜めて入った。駅までが遠いので、動きづらかった。

• 道民ザッキー (10/5): とても良いホテル - インテリアがおしゃれ、香りが良い、スタッフが良い、清潔、朝食が美味しい。 海外のお客様が多いせいか、フロントスタッフが外国人。日本語が話せるスタッフだけど、イントネーションだったり、話す速度が早い為、聞き取りづらい。 日本人には、日本人のフロントスタッフが対応してくれたら、なお嬉しい。 それと、個人的にアメニティの歯ブラシは木じゃないのにしてほしい。おしゃれだけど、口にごわついて不快。

The room gets a bit stuffy and the A/C doesn’t seem to be working, luckily we can open the windows and allow some fresh air in even during heavy snow periods.

The bar staff were friendly and attentive, and the buffet breakfast was simply outstanding with so many delicious options. The interiors are stunning—luxurious, elegant, and full of thoughtful details. We were especially impressed by the considerate taxi service, which made getting around so easy, and the beautiful toiletries added such a special touch to our stay. The aroma of the hotel smelt beautiful and luxurious. Everything about Sosei is pure five-star excellence. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and we will definitely be back! Nothing

Santasak who helped us with our car reservation process and problem and solved everything in the most efficient way. • Alisara (9/5): Convenient location opposite a shopping mall, friendly English-speaking staff, and a clean, quiet room made for a comfor - The hotel is conveniently located across from a shopping mall with a supermarket inside, making it very easy to get around. Many attractions are within walking distance, though it can be challenging during snowy or very cold weather. The highlight of this hotel is the staff, everyone was friendly, attentive, and spoke excellent English, which made the stay very comfortable for international travelers. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, with a good night’s sleep overall.

Ook het restaurant voor een beperkt diner was zeer goed, boven verwachting. De locatie is erg "in de stad", met veel beton en veel minder ontspannen groen. Zelf geselecteerd natuurlijk, maar blijkbaar toch een wat andere verwachting. Wel een top service qua parkeren en de auto sneeuwvrij maken. Niets viel tegen, buiten misschien de locatie. Prima hotel, aardbeving proof zelfs.

• Alyce (10/5): Fantastic family vacation - We stayed during the Christmas week and really enjoyed the beautiful Christmas decorations. When we arrived at the hotel, we were given a warming welcome drink which was a lovely touch. The staff were exceptionally helpful and provided everything we needed. The staff also gave us some great tips for enjoying our stay. The rooms were well-appointed, clean, comfortable, and were a great size. The food at the hotel was excellent. The location of the hotel was great - we walked nearly everywhere we went. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend.
• Buvaneswari (10/5): A wonderful family stay with friendly staff, great location, and exclusive executive lounge benefits - I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, and so did my family—especially my kids. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even more pleasant. Communication in English was not an issue at all, which we really appreciated. The hotel is conveniently located right next to a mall, making it very easy to get around. The buffet breakfast had a nice spread with good variety. Most importantly, we stayed in an Executive Room on Level 6, which gave us access to the Happy Hour at the bar in the afternoon. The free-flow drinks and bites were a great perk and made the stay feel very exclusive. Overall, a wonderful experience and we would be happy to return. Honestly, there was nothing to dislike during our stay, so I don’t have any negative comments.
