Unlike a lot of properties in Portugal we were met by Valentim who gave us a very quick tour which was really helpful. Also they were extremely prompt & kind to respond when we locked our keys in the apartment ! Nothing

Our host was very responsive and gave us great suggestions for things to do and places to eat in the city. The bed is somewhat uncomfortable and slopes the wrong way slightly. The apartment is small, and it sometimes takes some careful maneuvering to move around inside (bathroom mostly). The street it is located on is good for walking, but is closed to cars which can cause some confusion for cab drivers in picking up or dropping off.

Walk out your door and you are on the best pedestrian street in Porto. Close to everything. I would recommend staying here!

• Luisa (9/5): Superb - The apartment (on the 1st floor, served by the elevator) is very well equipped and positioned. It's bright, quiet and nicely arranged. There's a little balcony. The bed mattress was really very comfortable. The kitchen is furnished with everything necessary for preparing breakfast or proper meals. At our disposal we also had air conditioning, a TV, a dishwasher and the washing machine. The bathroom has a nice shower and a bidet (thank God.... So difficult to find abroad). Together with the towels we got also bathrobe and slippers. The apartment manager welcomed us at our arrival, though it was nearly midnight and gave us a list of recommendations in terms of sites to visit, restaurants, and so on. The only complaint could be for the balcony, that faces the inside of the building

• Mihai (10/5): Excellent place to establish headquarters and explore Porto. - Location is in the middle of one of the streets that are an attraction in Porto. There are plenty of shops similar to the ones on the fancier Rua Santa Catarina, but in a more historical setting. Major attractions in the center (Sao Bento railway station, Clerigos church and tower, the double-deck bridge Ponte Luis I, Se do Porto cathedral, Palacio da Bolsa, Ribeira, Igreja da Misericordia to name just a few) are within a 5 to 10 minute walk. The hosts were very accessible via Booking.com messaging or via WhatsApp, and provided plenty of suggestions for things to do while in Porto. The following has nothing to do with the property itself, so it's not fair to include it as a negative, but may help others set their expectations: The historical center is not suited for parking. It was not a problem for us, since we either took public transportation or Bolt, but something to keep in mind if you arrive by car, or if you plan to rent a car.
• June (10/5): excellent all around and quiet - incredible location and great facilities. Easy check in. in the old center and close to the train station. bed could use a mattress topper
• A_oren (10/5): one of the best apartments in rua das flores at this price tag. - the apartment is in the center of the center... super quiet due to location at the back of the building, can't hear street noise if doors are closed. I booked this apartment because it is minutes from Sao Bento (took daily trains). In short - read all the other reviews - all are correct, pictures are exactly what you get. In short - 10/10. driver was waiting at the airport due to late arrival (35 euro) - not that common when booking apartment, AAA. got only 2 big and 2 small bathroom towels, so for this period could have left 2 more.... (although they were replaced on the 5th day) did not effect the stay.
• Ramon (10/5): Perfect location and with all the amenities - The location is perfect, right in the center of the nicest street of Porto and near the public transport. The balcony was facing an interior patio and that is a good thing because it was isolated from the noise of the busy street.
