• Amelia (10/5): A beautiful and homey place - We had a truly wonderful time staying at GETO House. Our host, Koko awaited our arrival to explain the use of all the facilities in the property. He was also there at the end of our stay to say goodbye to us. He was also very quick to address our concerns and immediately brought extra curtains over when we requested them. The property is just a short walk from an onsen too, just remember that you'll have to bring your own towels before entering it. After a conversation with Koko, we were also treated to a very nice surprise of some snow, despite it being April, further up the mountain from GETO House where there is a ski resort. Koko let us borrow a sled and we got to enjoy some sledding on the snow. The property was homey and very cosy for us. The large kotatsu in the living area was so helpful to keep us warm. Providing bottled water as an alternative to those who might not be used to drinking/using hot spring water (which was what came out the taps) was an excellent form of hospitality as well. We will definitely come to stay again in the winter months! There wasn't anything we really disliked.
• Rudolf (9/5): We loved our stay at Geto House and enjoyed the kitchen, fireplace, music and movies. - Great helpful host, well setup kitchen. Games and movies were fun. Nice fireplace with wood available for an extra cost. Water pressure in the shower is a little low, not too bad. The place is pretty isolated apart from the nearby Onsen resort.

• HO YEE CHLOE (8/5): A perfect place to stay for family or a group of friends intending to ski at geto kogen - It is cosy and it’s very close to geto kogen ski resort. It has everything we needed during stay. And the host Koko has been very friendly and helpful. None
• KENICHIRO (8/5): - 冬場のスノーボード旅行で友人2人で宿泊しました。 良かった点は以下。 ・夏油高原スキー場に近い ・一棟貸しのレンタルハウス ・寝室が2部屋ある ・キッチン用品がひと通り揃っている ・広いリビングとこたつでくつろげる ・薪ストーブで焚き火気分が味わえる(別料金) ・チェックイン前の掃除中に食材を冷蔵庫に入れさせていただけた ・洗濯乾燥機が使える(未使用でしたが洗剤もあって便利だと思います) 家族や友人4~5人までの人数で泊まるのに最適だと思います。 私達は不満ではありませんでしたが、気になる方はいると思うので知っておいた方がいい点は以下。 ・水道が温泉の匂いがする ・カメムシが出る ・テレビがない 飲み水は2Lのペットボトルを2本いただけましたが、調理で使う水を考慮して必要に応じた水を持参すると良いと思います。 (宿で水道水の匂いを確認してからだと欲しくても北上市内に行かないと店は無いので…) あと、冷麺を作る場合には氷も。

This is a hidden gem with everything you need for a family ski holiday. Onsen 50m up the road and 10min by car to the very snowy Geto Kogen ski resort but otherwise very quiet and surrounded by forest Nothing

• 鈴木 (10/5): 今回は夏だったので、スキーの時期にもぜひ利用してみたいと思います。 - ご主人が以前の建物をリフォームし、広々として、使い勝手もとても良かったです。レコードがたくさん取り揃えてあり、ジャンルも様々だったので、自分の聴きたい曲を選ぶことができました。台所は小さめでしたが、湯沸かしポットやトースター、電子レンジなどもあり、ちょっと料理をすることもできました。基本的な調味料も常備されていたので、遠慮なく使わせてもらえました。家族５人でゆったりと休むことができました。到着時刻が遅れるたびにメールを何回かしたが、いつもすぐ返信が返ってくるので、気遣いがすばらしいと思いました。 シャワーだけなので、徒歩１分の温泉を利用しなければならなかった(利用料金が大人1人1200円)。

• Damon (10/5): We loved our Stay. Our host Coco is a great guy who we enjoyed our time with. - There are only a few houses for groups in the area. The kitchen is well appointed for self catering. It is very close to Geto Kogen Ski resort and next to an onsen hotel for hot soaking. It is cozy and has a log fire. Our host was exceptional. We liked everything

• Jak_b (9/5): Little House on the Forest's fringe - The location is remote indeed (I strongly recommend a car to get there!!) and this is the charm of it!! Incredible night sky, the soft melody of a river flowing nearby. The house has been very well restored by the owner, it s extremely comfy and clean. Hosts can use the great soundsystem complemented with a large collection of LPs, and for rainy days play video games or watch a movie using a projector. We visited at the end of Oct as nights were getting brisk, but the house is well isolated and we could turn off the stoves while remaining warm. Outside , it is all about nature, and the host will be able to guide you around. There is even a homemade "pétanque" field right outside the house and we could try the BBQ as well. Wonderful stay. Would definitely pick this lodge again if traveling in the area! Nothing much
