Guest Reviews
- Thomas (10/5): Nous avions l’impression de faire partie de la famille de l’hôtel, très sympathiques et accueillants! - Staff très accueillant. Installations confortables.

- Lucy (9/5): - Excellent location and the staff were so friendly. The bar was great for a post ski drink and chat. Also the close proximity to an onsen was great! All great.
- Kyle (10/5): Amazing, will definitely be coming back! - Loved the location, felt homely. Wonderful staff, that were very helpful and welcoming! Heater was stuck on full heat. Which made it hard to control the temperature in the room
- Scott (8/5): Amazing stay a beautiful bar area managed by really nice people. - Location was amazing- easy walk to echoland to access all the restraunts, ski shop, and also walk to ski Happo. Only two showers and several toilets for 9 rooms of people. Room could have been bigger.
- Tamara (10/5): - The property was close to an onsen and a ten minute walk from most bus stops and restaurants. Staff were great, and made you feel right at home. The rooms were spaciest and bedding/beds very comfortable. Longer walk to the bus stops for further resorts.
- Julian (10/5): Stay here!! - Great location, right need Happo ski lift, free shuttles to other mountains and restaurants in town.
Spotlessly clean, staff are legends and great rooms. Nothing negative was 10/10
- Haddow (10/5): Great place to stay at for our first time in hakuba, staff are so friendly and helpful and you made our stay so much eas - Loved how friendly the staff were and how accommodating they were to our big group, made a cake for our friends birthday and even dropped us in to town one of the nights! They had dinner recommendations for our first time in Japan and were very helpful Sometimes a line for the shower or toilet but we knew that before booking
- Devin (10/5): Exceptional - Nellie and her crew really made us feel at home! Such cozy rooms to watch the snowfall outside and we were well taken care of. Just around the corner from an incredible onsen. Don't look anywhere else just book it now!
- Hannah (8/5): Pleasant comfortable stay - The bed was super comfortable and the staff were friendly The main gathering area gets a bit noisy and echoey at night if you’re trying to get an early night sleep
- Constance (8/5): Very good - Very nice staff and cozy hotel. The walls are a bit thin so we wake up during the early breakfast time + the breakfast was very basic
- Gallagher (10/5): Amazing experience and a wonderful staff! - Amazing staff and hotel! Foxtrot provides a comfortable and highly attentive experience for guests. I can not say enough good things about their team and the room was great! They also have many good recommendations for skiing/riding and are able to assist with advising on travel logistics which was amazing. 10/10
- Hannah (10/5): Very happy we chose this place, will stay again - Great location, comfortable beds, beautiful view, quiet times are respected, great facilities and resourceful team Nothing
- Jessica (10/5): Great atmosphere, comfy rooms and excellent staff. - Close to resort shuttle bus and public onsen. Loved hanging out in the lounge area and enjoying a drink from the bar after getting back from the slopes. The breakfasts had a different little treat each morning, like crepes, scrambled eggs and a breakfast burrito. The staff were super friendly and helpful. It was a little bit further away from the main Echoland restaurant area than we would have liked (~20 minute walk). But when we couldn't be bothered walking far we just went to Cheshire restaurant, which was only 5 minutes away.
- Rasheed (10/5): Well maintained lodge with the most helpful and friendly staff!! - Loved the communal aspect of the lodge. As a solo traveller it was the perfect balance of socialising and privacy when needed. The staff were amazing, providing loads of helpful tips and always willing to help where they could. Lodge was really clean. This really was the perfect place for me as an older solo traveller looking for like minded relaxed people to hang out without the hectic party atmosphere you get at other accommodations. If I had to be really picky the outside food ban between 4-10pm window could be narrowed to allow for guests to have some takeaway dinner options. That said, I had no problems with this as I loved spending time with staff and other guests at the bar. And the town is only a 15minute walk away.
- Luke (10/5): Excellent Staff, excellent rooms, beers on tap, Canadian shaft cocktails are unreal - Amazing accomodation found right in Echoland, clean rooms for a great price, friendly staff. The common area/bar is really nice with great views out of massive windows (the photos almost don't do it justice). Special mention to the lodge owners - Byron & Nellie who were super hospitable and gave us lots of advice on where to ride/ski for what we wanted and what days suited it best.
The photos of the common room almost don't do it justice
Couldn't recommend hotel foxtrot enough Nothing to be honest, it exceeded my expectations massively
- Hugh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hanna (10/5): Hotel Foxtrot was a charming place to stay. We went with our 16-year old and it was family friendly as well as fun. It w - Super clean and comfortable. Modern with vintage twists. Lots of character. It was close to a bus stop to all the shuttles, short walk to the centre of Echoland. The showers had little ventilation (a very minor point).
- Simone (10/5): Awesome owners and staff providing awesome vibes - In a perfect location to witness amazing snow, nestled a touch away from the hustle and bustle of echoland in hakuba. The owners and staff were so friendly and helped us with any advice or questions we needed. The perfect place if you're happy to socialise as they have an awesome common room, with breakfast in the mornings, and a bar with some dinner choices I'm the evening. Definitely recommend and will be staying again!! The only thing we didn't like was leaving :(
- Allyson (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (10/5): Great little snow tribe. - Awesome vibes all around. Staff, Owners and guests are all a class tribe.
- Jesse (9/5): Foxtrot funtimes - Location and vibe Nothing negative about it
- Teo (9/5): Superb - Very big renewed room. Some shared facilities like toilet are still pending renewal, but it's a very nice place overall.
The staff is excellent.
Breakfast is very simple but free. Too bad you cannot use the shared area to eat/drink your own food after the dinner.
- Christopher (10/5): Little slice of paradise in the mountains - The communal area is great, all the staff were super helpful and happy to answer any questions we had.
The bar is great. It can get noisey with the communal area but that's normally fine since it shuts at 10
- Florence (10/5): Exceptional -
- Samuel (10/5): Memorable experience, thanks to wonderful facilities and fantastic service from the staff. - Fantastic atmosphere with incredibly friendly staff!
It is just a short walk to Echoland and Happo-One Snow Resort. Recently renovated rooms, which are large and spacious. Well equipped bar, with a variety of options after a long day on the slopes.
There is also a heated basement where you can store and dry all of your snow gear.
- Bryce (9/5): Good location near happo one and echoland. Very nice owners and seasonal workers. - 15 min walk down a path and road to happo one bottom eastern lift (lift tickets can be purchased here) Internet cut out occasionally. A car would have been nice to get around.
- Jorge (10/5): Amazing staff, so friendly and welcoming that we booked again for 2 weeks later! ^_^ -
