Guest Reviews
- Bernadette (10/5): Perfect little place for a family holiday - The whole apartment was lovely. Have nothing bad to say about it. Was clean and comfortable with everything you could possibly need. The location is perfect for both North and South beach. We had great contact and a lovely message on our first morning from the hosts to see how we'd settled in. It was the prefect little place for our family and we had a wonderful holiday. We liked everything but I'd suggest not going if you're overly tall. It didn't affect me but my partner banged his head a few times
- JJS (8/5): Castle Bay Scarborough - Little touches e.g milk, tea, coffee, biscuits so I didn't have to get straight out to the shop. It was quirky, the front room as you come in then down the spiral stairs to the bathroom, bedroom and kitchen. Board games available. Location great and near everything - at the top of the hill so be prepared to climb it! Some cobwebs and the bed was comfy but a bit small for us.
- Aneta (6/5): - No place for car problem with car parking
- Monika (5/5): - Lokalizacja byla mocnym.punktem Zapach ktory dominowal w obiekcie.Zapach plesni i stechlizny szczegolnie w sypialni na dole i łazience.Brak mozliwosci otwarcia okna w salonie.Bardzo niski sufit w sypialni i brak okna.
- Robert (9/5): A very pleasant break in a great location, made all the better by the accommodation. Highly recommended - Location; every amenity covered; great kitchen-diner
- Kristina (8/5): Lovely home from home and well located - If was cosy and well supplied. Lovely tea! The stairs were tricky with the dogs and the carpets too, just because it’s tricky to stop dogs marking territory in a new place and flooring would make it easier to clean up!

- Anonymous (7/5): Good - Location and TV Staircase
- Pickett-gower (8/5): Very good - The place itself is a lovely little apartment
Right near the castle, the view is amazing when walking the streets. The water drops when out in the court yard from the pipe when other use their bathrooms. That's not so nice, and the damp smell in the bedroom gets bad when no fan is on for the amount of time.
- Dean (10/5): Exceptional - Because of the spiral staircase it's not really dog friendly for dogs that can not be carried
- Dylan (7/5): Enjoyed our stay nice apartment in great location - Had everything you needed, was nicely decorated and in a brilliant location The living room being upstairs and the staircase looks very nice but hard work going up and down
- Grzegorz (10/5): Exceptional - Clean and very well equipped apartment, the kitchen had everything you need to prepare meals. VERY comfy bed. Fast internet and TV. Not far from the city center and all the attractions of Scarborough. Great contact with the owner. I recommend and will definitely use again
- Terence (6/5): Pleasant -
- Glyn (9/5): A well equiped homely apartment - Lovely well equiped apartment, in a great location between North beach, South beach and the castle, with great views.
Nice bathroom with a shower and a decent size bath.
Homely bedroom with a comfortable bed.
We would definitly go again, but we would split the lugage next time to make it more managable to transport it down the spiral staircase to the bedroom. The quirkiness of the spiral staircase did have it's problems to start with, but we liked it in the end when we made it work for us.
- Jayne (1/5): Bad - I was unable to stay here. I couldn't get down the winding staircase. I'm 70yrs old and no way was it possible for me to get down carrying my luggage and shopping . Only the sitting room was available
- Tony (10/5): Perfect apartment - Was clean everything that we needed location was great very nice place Spiral Stairs was a bit tight
- Keeley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adrian (10/5): Clean quiet just ideal -
- Moulton (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ruth (8/5): Very good - This was a brilliant location in Scarborough. Very quaint, really comfy bed and lovely kitchen. The staircase is really a bit tricky to get up and down.
- Kendall (5/5): OK - Being partly in the basement it was poorly ventilated and became very stuffy
- Joanne (8/5): Relaxing comfortable stay in ideal location. - Property beautiful and clean ideal place to stay close to Market Hall and sea front. Very quiet . Loved the fact I had a bath, small outside courtyard a bonus. Not suitable for people with young children or people with mobility issues due to the spiral staircase. Spiral staircase! Not easy to carry luggage up and down them
- Karin (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely flat in a quiet location near the castle. Well decorated and very clean - with a fully kitted kitchen too! Cosy bedroom (with comfy bed!).
It was a 5 minute walk to the castle or amusements.
Both my 13yr old and myself had a brilliant time and would definitely like to visit again :) Nothing
- Dawn (8/5): Very good -
- Mark (1/5): Not recommended. Dirty bedsheets plus more. - Quirky set up. No parking tickets.
Staff not very responsive and condescending.
Damp smell in the rooms
Lack of correct information prior to booking. Eg scaffolding up at the property and no parking tickets.
The owners or managers, trying to blame the council for no parking tickets. Instead of taking responsibility for it themselves.
Stain on bed sheets not a good start.
- Samantha (7/5): Good. Close to the main beach. - Lots of personal extra touches, complimentary tea and biscuits. The main door didn't lock from the inside, couldn't lock it at night so needed to put a cupboard behind the door.
- Leanne (9/5): Lovely apartment, perfect for small family - This is a beautiful comfortable apartment that was ideal for our little family of 3. Really close to the beach and the seafront shops and restaurants. Bear in mind that if you have any problems with mobility, the staircase is quite narrow. I suffer slightly with joint problems and found these difficult after the first couple of days.
- Shane (8/5): Very good -
- Wendy (10/5): Could live here - I wasn't expecting much for a late notice booking in the school holidays.I was wrong. This apartment is just fantastic. We were able to park outside and got the keys from a lock box. The upstairs room is lovely, very well furnished but we spent most of our time downstairs. The kitchen is huge and has everything you could ask for and a big dining table, perfect for our Uno games and snacks in the evenings.
The upstairs room was our second bedroom and comfy enough.
The dog loved it as well but had to be carried up and down the stairs. The place is near to a dog friendly beach too and not too far a walk to the South Bay and all of it's attractions. Nothing, we all loved it.
- Amanda (10/5): Fab stay in a lovely apartment. - Lovely property in a great location. Lots of nice touches like tea/coffee and extras like washing up liquid etc.
really nicely decorated and very comfortable. Nothing
- Laura (9/5): Great location, clean and comfortable apartment. - Great location for both north and south bays, loved the decor and how homely it felt. Really clean and comfortable. Really well equipped too. Absolutely perfect for two people. We had two children with us who used the sofa bed in the living room which was fine as were only staying a couple of nights so was in and out most of the time. There was nothing really - parking was first come first serve street parking and once we’d figured the scratch card permit and got a space it was absolutely fine.
- Kyle (5/5): Passable - I like the location and how clean it was it was jist close to everything I didn't like the fact I couldn't lock the door when I was sleeping so I didn't have a good sleep but the door lock when we was out jist wouldn't lock when in
- Jolanta (2/5): Not satisfied - Decoration of the flat was nice The advert says it's an apartment but it's actually a flat, it should be mentioned that the flat is in the basement. There's no window in the bedroom, which is depressing for me. I couldn't relax in there.
There is alot of damp in their flat which you could see you on the wall and smell it everywhere
The carpets didn't have a nice smell either.
The washing machine had a horrible smell when I opened it
It's definitely not worth the price I've paid.
- Wayne (1/5): Misleading property. stairs dangerous. Property has mould smell. due to being a basement apartment. - Poor Nothing
- Scott (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sally-ann (9/5): Perfect location - a little hidden gem - Location was just perfect, a little hidden gem, extra little bits made all the difference, milk, coffee, biscuits etc. a superb location right by the prom, vey quirky little flat that had everything we needed. Nothing about the property but parking is stressful!!
A later check out would have been helpful but wasn't available, nothing else to dislike.
- Mandy (9/5): Superb - The stairs was no good for us everything else was fine
- Harry (8/5): Very good -
- Steven (8/5): Quirky, Snug Scarborough Retreat - The property was very clean, with good facilities. The location was excellent with good parking. Property is on 2 levels, with a lounge on the entrance floor and everything else down a spiral staircase. It would have been nice to have a TV on the lower level. The ceiling height in the bedroom is low on one side. Therefore, care is required when getting in and out of bed.
- Neil (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marta (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely place ,perfect location. Clean and tidy.
- Steven (10/5): A great apartment to stay in to explore the North East Yorkshire coast. - The apartment was very well equipped, even down to tea, coffee, soaps and washing liquids. Everything was clean, comfortable and full of homely touches. Nothing to improve on.
- Eddie (10/5): Superb - would happily stay again and recommend to friends! - Excellent location, clean and homely with all our needs catered for - surprised by and pleased with all the complimentary items provided. N/A
- Kacey (10/5): Exceptional - The layout! Everything had been thought about down to small details The double bed:( Me and my partner way too long🤣that’s just a personal preference though! Everything else was great!
