Guest Reviews
- Elaine (10/5): The most relaxing escape from reality ever, perfection. - Beautiful location , well equipped and extremely cozy Couldn’t fault it
- Stefanie (9/5): -
- Kenneth (9/5): Exactly as advertised - Clean and tidy Nothing
- Melanie (10/5): Fabulous glamping on beautiful Arran with everything you need - This was such a great glamping site. Peaceful, calm and beautiful. There was space for the kids to play football with a goals, there was a hot tub and a fire pit. The cabins were warm and cosy, whilst also being stocked with everything you need.
The hosts were available to answer questions and were so accommodating. They were even kind enough to offer our kids the sprinklers as they were playing football and getting hot (we stayed during a bit of a heatwave).
Honestly, this was a fabulous place to stay, there’s even a great walk straight from the fields opposite the glamping pods heading to Kings Caves. We really loved our stay here. It’s hard to think of anything that we didn’t like tbh. I guess I could say the fridges are on the small side, so don’t buy too much at once but rather make smaller trips to the shops.

- Connor (9/5): Superb. Will be back next year. - Spotless, modern, great location, classy. The lock on the gate on decking was a nice touch - stopped the toddlers wandering. Couple of minor suggestions 1) have a blackout blind on the velux above the kitchen. The light shines through and wakes up young ones on the sofa bed. 2) have a locking mechanism in place for patio doors when open. When windy, it slams shut.

- ddrriill (7/5): 3 nights Stay at King's Caves Glamping - Good location for kings caves walk and other short walks. Quiet place with a lovely views. No shops around so buy everything in Brodick or other village before you arrive. Lodges were clean and exactly like on the picture, equipped with all essentials, TV with Netflix etc, very soft mattress if someone like it. Very small fridge in the Lodge. It was just 2 of us and we struggled to pack all stuff for 3 days, forget about cold beer 🙂 I tried to use "service chat" as advised per information in the lodge to ask about an later check out ( an hour ) but hosts did not get back to me, despite I asked a day before. In our lodge cooking pan was in a bad condition, should be replaced some time ago. Heater in the bathroom with no thermostat regulation so it was eaither extreamly hot or must be completely off. I feel that for the price we paid £160 per night - all these should be arranged better.
- Hannah (8/5): Excellent - Location lovely and quiet. Lodges very clean, cosy and modern, they have everything you need.
Good fire pit area for a bbq and space to play football. Hot tub use not included in the price of stay. Quite expensive to use for one hour.

- Amy (9/5): Excellent Stay - The location of the glamping pods is excellent I think, five minute drive from Blackwaterfoot that has two shops and a morning roll shop, also the kinloch if you fancied dining out. It also has a gate that takes you up to a walk for the kings cave which is excellent. The pod itself was gorgeous and our dog belle loved just lying out on the decking, it’s such a peaceful setting. We also paid extra for a BBQ to be at our pod which was just excellent as we got a lovely evening to have it and went to Arran Butchers for our meat. Can’t thank Abbie enough either for the communication back and fourth before our stay, she was exceptionally helpful and resourceful, this was our first time staying here and hope to be back again.
- Lauren (10/5): -
- Aisling (8/5): Quiet and peaceful. - Clean, neatly fitted out and decorated. Lovely products in the bathroom. Pillows were a little bit too flat for our preference.
Beautiful location but very isolated from any amenities.
- Dempster (10/5): - The Glamping Pod was brilliant. Very clean, modern and all the facilities you require for a great stay. N/A
- Laura (10/5): -
- Bert (9/5): - Great hosts, super helpful! Super comfortable glamping.
- Angus (9/5): Would definitely recommend, great base to explore this side of Arran in particular though you are only a 20 min drive ba - Location was great, very clean accommodation and well equipped. Obviously a great deal of pride taken in the construction and upkeep of these fairly new lodges. Already felt quite settled into the landscape too which would have been no easy feat. The ducks milling around outside was nice and the views from the place and just above are incredible. Great base to locally explore Kings Caves as a walk up the hill joins the path and Machrie Stones car park was less than a mile away. Me and the family really enjoyed it. Not so much about the property but more on me that I didn’t look properly as thought the hot tubs were per lodge rather than a separate localised building.
- Sharon (9/5): -
- Chris (10/5): -
- Heather (9/5): Excellent! Would stay again. - Beautifully laid out with everything we needed. Spotless. Could only say pods a little close to each other… but that’s the only that we’ve never ‘glamped’ before.
- Christina (10/5): -
- Agnieszka (8/5): -
- Bryhalliday (10/5): -
- jmarcelod (9/5): Highly recommend if coming by car - The place is beautiful. The clamping was very clean. The beds are new and very comfortable. The shower is just excellent. The trail next to the clamping is really nice. The clamping interior and exterior matches the description. The closest grocery shop is a little far.
The fridge size is for short stays.
It took me a while to figure out the bathroom exhauster switches on automatically. It would be nice to add a note about it in the visitor manual.
I've missed a dish drainer.
- Gary (10/5): -
- Marco (9/5): Originele verblijfsplaats - Rustig en prachtige omgeving. Leuke en originele plek om te verblijven
- Ian (10/5): Tranquil stay in the best spot on Arran. - Quiet location close to abundant nature and historic/spiritual sites. Price can always be better, but failed leadership in my home country meant everything more expensive abroad.
- Livesey (8/5): - Although you had pods nearby you still felt private, and the views were stunning Thought the price was slightly more expensive than it should be, and a couple of cob webs at the window.
- Lyndsey&Bane (8/5): - Great location, quiet. Cabin had everything needed.⁹ Kettle in cabin 2 took eternity to boil...but that was about it :)
- Catherine (8/5): April in Arran - The pod was clean and modern with lovely finishes. Beds and couch were very comfortable. I also really appreciated all the wee bits that were included eg kitchen utensils and seasonings. The only thing that was a negative in our minds were the roads leading to the place. Full of potholes in all directions. And unfortunately when we were there the string road was closed which meant a minimum 50 min drive on narrow windy roads littered with potholes to reach the main towns of either Brodick or Lochranza. Completely outwith the control of the glamping site and is no reflection on our sleeping arrangements but it just made our time there a bit more difficult as it wasn't an easy journey to just nip back to base to change clothes, eat etc
- Peter (10/5): Great places to stay - Location was great. Kids loved feeding the ducks in the pond & looking at the Highland cows. Accommodation was very clean & everything you need. The patio was great to sit have breakfast & which the wildlife as the kids played care free. Everyone was very friendly
Great places for walks. Blackwaterfoot isn't to far away 5 mins in the car. There's great hotel kinloch which does great food. The beach is great aswell. The kids loved it. Shiskine golf course is a must 12 holes of pure beauty. Having to go home
- julie (9/5): -
- Robert (10/5): -
- Gillian (10/5): Great wee place, great location - It was great for me and my 2 girls, they could wander about and feed the ducks and felt like they had freedom with me still seeing them all the time I really enjoyed the stay. The only thing I would comment is that I didn’t realise we needed to book extra bedding but that was sorted by the lovely lady who turned up.
- Emily (9/5): -
- Elaine (10/5): This most beautiful idyllic place to escape and enjoy this beautiful Island. - Was a stunning location with exceptionally well equipped accommodation. Nothing that I could think off
- Emma (10/5): We had a wonderful stay and although storm Dave made things interesting we were warm and cozy in the pod. - Although there are other pods they still feel private
- Martin (10/5): -
- Shields (10/5): -
- Mitesh (9/5): Perfect Glamping Location for Scenic Views and Trails - This glamping location is perfect for scenic views and hiking trails. The glamping setup was convenient and had adequate facilities. The WiFi reception was not that good. I understand maybe due to weather or remote location but just to let you know so that if you could work it out.
- Karen (8/5): - Location , cleanliness, quality of fittings .all good and comfortable Bed to high
Micro dangerously low
- McFarlane (10/5): - This trip exceeded our expectations. The pod had everything we needed and more, the kitchen area was very well equipped, lovely sitting areas and the bed was sooo comfy!!! The surroundings were beautiful and we particularly loved doing the walk to kings caves- we were so lucky to have a gorgeous sunny morning. A relaxing dip in the hot tub each night was the perfect end to each days adventures.
Already dreaming of our next visit!
- Denise (9/5): Beautiful scenery, very quiet location , perfect - Lovely area
Clean pods
- Anthony (9/5): Luxueuze pod op een prachtige locatie ! - Prachitge locatie, hele mooie luxueuze pods. Prachtig domein.
- Cameron (10/5): -
- Lucyna (10/5): -
- Bertrand (10/5): Idyllique -
- Leonie (10/5): -
- Vaclav (10/5): Our stay was very nice , commencing our wedding anniversary . - We loved everything. Size of the lodge.equipment and organization . Can’t be happier enough . Honestly there was nothing to dislike
- Gemma (9/5): Fun filled family time at Kings caves glamping! - Very well equipped and comfortable lodge. Midgies and horseflies were a problem but I know this is not something King's Caves Glamping can control but maybe some citronella or a deterrent on the decking?
- Margaret (10/5): -
- Lynn (10/5): Lovely chilled stay - The property was lovey very cosy , with lovely views and so peaceful No
- Eve (10/5): -
- Nugent (8/5): -
- Elisabeth (10/5): -
- Cameron (9/5): Great little family break - Stunning location, great little pods with plenty space and everything you need.
- EmyJohns (9/5): Great pod, recommend. - Lovely location, easy to find when you come of the ferry in Brodick (About 30 minutes drive). Once you arrive you easily get your keys with self check in. Nice to have parking right next to your pod as well. Delightful views, little pond with ducks and pheasants wandering around. Extremely clean rooms, very impressed with it. Little kitchen with the basics of 2 hob rings and a microwave. Nice amount of things in the cupboard as well. Little bit of cooking oil and salt. Obviously, it goes without saying to take your own product but that can be done easily at the CO-OP as you come of the boat. Beds are comfy as well, loved the window above the bed to wake up to the hills of Arran. Lots of charging plugs and lighting is good. Bathroom was fab, spotlessly clean. Highly recommend. Online it was stated that there was a hairdryer in the room and after an extensive look we could not find any hairdryer within the pod, it was a shame of course as this was a little frustrating. Also, not a lot of teas, coffees and sugars in the little pot, so I would recommend taking your own as well. Also, no cafetiere.
- Annie (10/5): - Loved location, the lodge was stylish, spacious and exceptionally clean. Not to mention, kitted out with great wee bits like utensils. The only thing my children moaned about was that the WiFi signal wasn't great.
- jiri (10/5): -
- Colin (10/5): Great for walking - Beautiful location with great parking and access direct to walk to the King's Cave/ coastal path
- Eleanor (9/5): -
- Carys (8/5): Lovely location with animals and scenery surrounding it. - The lodge was a really good size. Location is good just off the main road but still nice and quiet and being surrounded by nature and animals was great! The shower was nice and powerful also. the lodges are spaced out well so didn’t feel overlooked either. Absolutely loved the bed! was very comfy!! Although they say they are dog friendly id say more dog tolerant. I was disappointed with having to pay an extra fee per night most dog friendly places will add a standard charge for the full time plus a dog charge. Claiming to be dog friendly then asking you to pay another £15 per night per dog on top of the charge felt a bit of a con, nothing for the dog either no bowl or towel (which I’d expect in a dog friendly place). Unfortunately the WiFi was a bit poor especially when it is raining or windy it got worse but that wasn’t a huge issue as that’s expected on Arran with poor signal. Other than that I thoroughly enjoyed my time there, and recommend to friends and family.
- Doran (10/5): Beautiful location. Can’t wait to return. - Perfect place to settle and relax for our long weekend. Nothing
- Kirsty (9/5): Lovely location, good parking, very clean and modern. - The pods were great - location was quite remote, there are lovely walks nearby (King Caves & Machrie Moor) but you really need a car to get to other parts of the island which suited us - we liked it being remote. It was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped, was perfect for a two night stay. Loved the highland cows right outside our window and the enclosed balcony for our dog. There is only one nearby restaurant (that we could find anyway) which is about a 10 minute drive, I’d book ahead as when we went on a Sunday they had no reservations left in the restaurant or bar. There are places to eat in Brodick which is about a 25/30 minute drive from the pods, we ended up just having food in the pod instead. Only downside I can think of is that you are very close to the other pods, one of the pods next to us kept banging (not a clue what they were doing!) and as they’re so close it echoed right on to our pod. This will just be luck of the draw on who your neighbours are though.
- Thomas (10/5): - Clean and modern, right next to Machrie Moor and Kings Caves. WiFi coverage could be improved.
- Nina (10/5): -
- gail (10/5): -
- Allan (10/5): Can’t wait to come back… - Beautiful and comfortable pods in an idyllic setting. All mod cons for your comfort and to stay connected whilst you’re completely removed from all the hustle and bustle. Staff were delightful and helpful, and the pods were amazing.
- Zhou (10/5): Great location easy access to anywhere on the island yet very quiet and relaxing! - Stunning pods surrounded by beautiful scenery, so relaxing Hot tub can be a bit cleaner as when we used it after another family, it was covered in sand
- Roger (10/5): - Great quiet location and lovely views to be had
- Sarah (10/5): -
- David (10/5): Fantastic 5 nights - Absolutely amazing place. Peaceful and beautiful. The camping pods are excellent and really comfortable. Highly recommended. It’s also ideally located for the Kings cave walk and Machrie Moor stone circles.
- Campbell (9/5): Absolutely fantastic! - Everything was as comfortable and clean as possible. The owners and staff have thought of everything a traveler could possibly need and provided it, as well as being really friendly, kind and responsive.
The mini kitchen supplies are new, everything in every space works. The directions to use appliances were clear. It’s an incredibly beautiful and peaceful location inside and out! I can’t recommend this property enough. Nothing at all.
- Sandra (10/5): Gorgeous stay - would recommend. - Beautiful location and really well equipped accommodation Nothing apart from the fact we had to leave and go home !
- Emma (10/5): We had a great stay, thank you - Beautiful surroundings, very peaceful. Clean and comfortable with all amenities. Had a great sleep, bed so comfy Nothing, really loved the property
- Mara (9/5): -
- Remco (9/5): Great location with everything you would need in a quality pod in beautiful surroundings - A few less than perfect scores because we had never used a glamping pod before and found it a bit cramped.
Having said that we will be back !
Staff were welcoming and friendly.
Location easy to find and scenery stunning, starting with the duck pond and with the rest of Arran easily and quickly accessible.
No sound heard from neighbours during our 5 day stay. Nil
- Fiona (10/5): Happy Glamping - Lovely modern, clean and comfy glamping pod with everything needed for our stay.
Janice was lovely when we booked in.
Quiet and beautiful part of Arran in the middle of nowhere. We had a fabulous 2 night stay. Nothing, perfect
- Julia (9/5): Restful stay - A great, cosy place where you can rest well far from the everyday noise and bustle.
Lovely neighbours 🐑🐄 If you have no car you are trapped as the buses are rarely and not always when expected
- Patricia (9/5): - Peace. Sad that there was no one to welcome us or check that all was OK.
- Caroline (10/5): Brill, had a great time and will return. - Lovely area, the pond the ducks the view what more could you ask for. Well equipped easy communication with the owners especially when a storm happened and we had to extend our stay.
- Matt (9/5): -
- Gary (9/5): - Great place and the pods are really well laid out & really comfy. Would recommend
- Tracey (10/5): - Perfect location to use as a base for exploring the island
- ESZTER (10/5): Comfortable stay - The place is incredible. Clean, comfortable, and the view was breathtaking. The kids had loads of fun, and everything is close enough ( shops, walks)
Definitely visit again.
- Andy (10/5): -
- Steven (9/5): - The location is great and the pods are comfortable for a family with 2 young kids. Water got cut off for the entirety of our stay, which was no fault of the park or the hosts, but the hosts didn't really do anything to help guests. They just sent us the link to the Scottish Water webpage and told us to sort ourselves out. For almost £200 a night, you would expect some assistance to source water for drinking and cooking.
I also had to chase them up to get a refund for the hot tub that we couldn't use because of the lack of water.
- Ross (10/5): Wonderful stay at great glamping pod will return - Beautiful location
Well equipped cosy glamping pod
Spotless
Friendly welcome
Lots to see and do in Arran Nothing
- Alexandra (9/5): -
- Tegan (8/5): - Lovely staff and location. Really great pods and good size for family. Well deisgned and thought of and lovely outdoor space for looking at the pond and ducks.
- Anne (9/5): I enjoyed it - very comfortable and Arran is beautiful! - Lovely peaceful location but would have liked a sea view. Very comfy bed and it was clean. Thought the pods were too close together -a slight barrier between would have been good- if you sat on the balcony people could wander in front of your and and look in so, a lack of privacy.
- Matt (9/5): -
- Anastasia (10/5): -
- Hamilton (10/5): -
- Debora (10/5): Strongly recommended - Set in a beautiful location, the pod was full of what you need, clean, tidy and very spacious. Very good position close to both the ferries. High quality.
- Meaghan (9/5): Lovely stay. Stunning scenery. - Location was great - between kings cave and the standing stone walk (although note that stores are a drive away). Clean, well designed cabins. We thought the soccer field and duck pond were nice surprises. The scenery was stunning (including highland cows out our bathroom windows!) The fridge was a bit small for a family of 4.
- Sanne (8/5): -
- Christopher (9/5): Lovely stay in beautiful location and lovely pods. Would visit again. - Pods were lovely so clean and decor lovely and had all amenities you could need. Hot tub was cold we only lasted 30 mins after paying £15 extra on top of booking.
