Guest Reviews
- Christian (10/5): -
- Katie (10/5): Wonderful, quiet little oasis not far from downtown - Quiet and peaceful after long daily hikes on the Kerry Way. They even surprise us with juice, milk, yogurt, butter, and bread for our morning breakfast. Nothing. It was perfect.
- Veronika (10/5): -
- Darren (8/5): - Scenery Too much rain
- Kirsten (9/5): We had a great stay and enjoyed it -
- Laurent (8/5): - Le pod dans lequel nous avons dormi est très mignon et l'endroit est magnifique. C'est très petit pour trois personnes mais nous le savions à l'avance.
- arun (10/5): Must go i will post the photos later on - Everything i
Was fabulous i will book again for sure and I recommend for every one . It's very clean The views form the clamping .

- Cristina (10/5): Absolutely PERFECT - That place is amazing. A little mini house complete of all comfort, warm and welcoming.
The pod is in the middle of the country side with a very pleasant view and with birds and horses all around. Also the Cottage is very beautiful.
Ritchie, the owner, was very kind and he sent a message providing info about the stay and surroundings.
Breakfast is included...with local butter and handmade bread.
I had a walk until Cahersive walking on the country road and all around there are bikeways...
Highly recommended for a pleasant and regenerative stay. Absolutely nothing. My short stay has been very perfect.
Maybe the stay could be a little bit cheaper for longer stays, but given the service, the kindness, the quiet place and the efficiency of the organisation it can be comprehensible
- Christine (7/5): - Found the location difficult to find! Although it was dark & pouring with rain when we were trying to find it! The host very generously came out to direct us.
- Luka (10/5): - best place on the world, highly recomended, nice place, and clean, thamk you so much
- Tobias (9/5): -
- Christel (9/5): - Très agréable, Implanté dans la campagne, belle vue, petites attentions de l'hôte dans le frigo concernant le petit déjeuner, parking privé appréciable Nous étions 4 et donc un peu à l'étroit
- Paul (10/5): Perfect little cabin - The pod was perfect, clean and warm! Is a little bit far from town.
- Sebastian (10/5): - We had a comparison with a very similar glamping pod we booked in a different location. Compared to the other one, "South Kerry Glamping" had a much smarter layout. We really liked the wooden deck in front of the pod.
Nulla

- Julie (7/5): Cosy and comfortable, but poor communication - Peaceful and pretty location. Comfortable unit, everything in order and working.
Breakfast provided, orange juice, yoghurt, most delicious soda bread with jam and butter.
Altogether very cosy. No arrival communication from the host, which resulted in a bit of a panic when finding out that the only visible pod was already occupied.
No wi-fi password provided. When the host sent the password some hours later, it was spelled incorrectly (upper/lower case issue)
- Oisin (10/5): Good staff - Good Nothing
- Aurélien (8/5): -
- Esther (8/5): - Muy cerca de la zona turística. El anfitrión muy amable, te dejan en la nevera leche fresca y otras cosas para el desayuno. El pan casero hecho por su madre estaba exquisito.

- Stephanie (10/5): Lovely stay - It was a cute cabin that was peaceful and pleasant. It had everything we needed for the night. I loved how when we left there were horses that sent us off. Also, the host was very responsive and accommodating as we had to book last minute.

- Linda (10/5): A peaceful haven with a gorgeous view - Beautiful scenery, in the countryside.
- Adrian (8/5): Very good - It was like being in a nest An error of text Pod 2 has the view unfortunately we were sent to it in error and had to go to Pod 1 with no view and it's darker but having said that both pods are equipped exactly the same and Pod 1 is really private making it feel like a tree house
- Amy (1/5): Bad - Pod itself was small bit utilised well. Entrance into area is steep and challenging on a car, the pod is located in a green area with high grass. Outdoor area not what's in the picture at all. Eircode is not accurate either so was looking for area for a bit. WiFi very poor also. Won't be going there again for sure. Expected a bit more for the price of it. Disappointing for sure.
- Isis (9/5): Superb -
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gareth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cara (9/5): Superb -
- Amador (10/5): It was a delightful experience. - The view is spectacular on Pod 2 and the location is surrounded with farms. Horses and sheep wandering around makes for an authentic experience. Fresh milk, yogurt and bread were nice surprises. Love that they allow pets. The bed raises on the side edges and gets a bit uncomfortable. Price on the high side.
- Abigail (9/5): Well worth a visit , beautiful landscape and peaceful no disturbance or noise and great privacy . - We were welcomed with fresh soda bread , milk, juice and homemade youghurt and muesli which we were very impressed with and also delighted that we had 2 induction hobs so we could cook if needs be!
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Nigel (5/5): Passable - To be fair as an older couple it was secluded and out of the way. It was hot and the door could not be left open due to nature being on the doorstep. Directions would have been handy. WiFi password was not left. It would have been handy if a pack was left.
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely views, great outdoor area, adorable pods. Tight for more than 2, but that was expected and happily we were able to be outside.
- Geraldine (10/5): A real gem - Very private and beautiful location. So much to see and do in the area. Leaving to go home
- Meagher (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joanne (8/5): Very good -
- Hampshire (9/5): Superb - Peace and quiet, warm and cosy, super view. Fridge, microwave, induction hob, kettle, coffee machine, WiFi, radiator, shower all worked well.
Breakfast supplies very welcome especially the delicious homemade bread.
Excellent communication from friendly owner. No sign on the road to the pods, follow "The Cottage" sign down a fairly steep gravel drive.
Plenty of space space to park next to each pod.
The induction hob and radiator take a little working out for anyone not familiar with them.
- Izabela (10/5): Lovely place in a great location - It’s a nice cozy pod, with a small bathroom, kitchen, and terrace in the front where you can enjoy beautiful Mountain View. There is everything what you need. On arrival we had left fresh soda bread with butter and jam, milk and juice in the fridge which was a nice surprise. I liked everything there, the only thing is the fan in bathroom was not working but that didn’t affect my stay
- Norbert (10/5): We hope to come back sometime again - The owner left us with welcome gifts such as loaf of soda bread with butter, bottle of orange and milk, coffee machine with coffee pods. Something someone would really appreciate. Nothing.
- Karen (8/5): Very good - I loved everything about it great place to unwind and relax
- Suren (10/5): Exceptional - This was a truly beautiful experience. The site was lovely. The host left us a lovely breakfast which was so thoughtful of her.
- Shane (2/5): Mouldy and Delapitated - The surrounding area. The smell of musty mould and how dirty the place is.
It's full of broken furniture. Not maintained or cleaned well. Owner is in denial. How people are giving this property good reviews is very misleading.
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Niall (9/5): Superb -
- Ethon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jake (10/5): Would recommend - It was very scenic and very comfy, brown bread was life changing The door was a bit of an issue had to fight it to close and lock it
- Brian (9/5): Superb - Great location, peaceful a great getaway
- Nelson (10/5): Can't want to come back again - Little piece of heaven. We stayed in pod 2 with our little boy and it was perfect. So clean and perfect size for us. We loved the little touches like the fresh brown bread and yoghurt. We cooked our own breakfast and dinner on one of the nights. Had everything we needed. We will definitely be back again. There was nothing we didn't like at all. Everything was perfect
- Eoin (9/5): Superb -
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Clídna (10/5): Beautiful scenery, amazing spot. - Very clean and peaceful. Beautiful spot. Nothing everything was great.
- Gomes (10/5): Exceptional - The views were breathtaking...very cosy and very clean...the detail of bread, milk, juice, yogurts butter & jam available upon our arrival, specially with youg kids made a big difference 😊 thank you It was a rainy day and a covered area outside could had made a difference as even the table was very small for 4 people to have a meal
- Samantha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leonard (10/5): Exceptional - The tranquility , the facilities and the location.
- Laveechandra (10/5): Exceptional - Had a wonderful ☺️ time with family
Great place highly recommended..
- Chris (9/5): Lovely location in the heart of South Kerry. Lovely view. Very friendly and helpful - lovely location. nice to try glamping. lovely brown bread, yoghurts, granola and juice for breakfast. Also nespresso coffee and tea. Also well equipped for a little cooking but there were too many nice eateries in cahirciveen
- Rosaleen (8/5): Very good - Beautiful surroundings. Pod clean Blind on window whole unit broken. Door blind need repairs.
Hated that we couldn't sit out in the evenings as the whole patio area was covered in small flies which I thought at first were ants. Couldn't keep the door open as they were coming into the pod as well.
Didn't meet the owners at all probably because we went out early and stayed out as late as possible until the children got tired, again because of the flies. I would have loved to be able to relax outside for a while as well.
- Cristina (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean and very comfortable. We had everything what we needed, even a small breakfast left from the host. The location good but a little bit to far from town..
- Erik (10/5): Exceptional - Very cosy and romantic. Fantastic environment, enjoyed our stay greatly. Very thoughtful owner to leave some breakfast even though its self-catering.
- Maguire (10/5): Exceptional - Loved the peace and quiet of the location and the stunning views of both the ocean and the mountains. Place was spotless and the owner very kindly left some essentials including homemade brown bread 😍 there was a cottage and another hut on site but all were done in such a way you had total privacy. Great place if you want to get away from everything and recharge 🥰🥰 Nothing
- Jason (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deirdre (8/5): Very enjoyable stay in very scenic surroundings - Breakfast was delicious. Could have done with a bit more room in pod for 4 occupants.
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Ledy (10/5): Exceptional - Incredible view!
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christopher (10/5): Overall 10/10 loved the night spent there and would definitely go back if I’m back in Kerry 👍 - View and facilities were amazing The road up is quite bumpy but it’s worth
- Jenny (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephanie (8/5): Very good -
- Sean (9/5): Superb -
- Abdul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Milena (9/5): Superb - Nice breakfast, kind attention, wonderful view No shampoo and shower gel
- Rachit (8/5): Very good - Location and the view
- Eamonn (4/5): The pod is nice, but the price isn't. A B&B would be much better value. - Comfortable and with good heating that dries out wet walking gear quickly. They removed the single occupancy price and would not answer my questions about this in the chat. It was bad value next to a B&B and the location is far from scenic. There isn't much food supplied, especially compared to a cheaper B&B. It looks boutique in jars, but it's all standard supermarket products like Glenisk vanilla yoghurt. It's nice, but feels like a bit of a con. The bread I got was wrapped in greaseproof paper, but was frozen.
The window above the head of the bed needs to be correctly sealed.
- Iness (10/5): Super cozy, warm, clean place. Lot’s of food and tasty coffee and bread, yogurts. - That was amazing place for people who loves nature and quietness. Views are amazing 🤩.comfortable and clean property The drive way for lower cars little bit difficult
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
