• Soe (1/5): Don't stay there they will charge you extra big amount for small tower stain - Don't have ... Not like place Paid $216 for a small tower stain and the workmanship was very disappointing. The quality did not match the price at all. Poor finishing, looks rushed, and definitely not worth the amount charged. Would not recommend based on my experience.

• Gary (7/5): Central and convenient. - Great location, there bars and restaurants and shops below in the square, close to transport links, lots of other bars and restaurants were within a 10 minute walk in Robertson Quay, comfy bed Lack of space to move around the beds, we had a two bed executive suite which turned out to be two one bed studios with a shared kitchen but nowhere for more than two people to sit at any one time in any one room. So we lived as two separate families not great for socalising and no clothes hanging space for more than a day or two with 5 hangers on one rail in each room. We chose the two bed executive suite, as in the pictures it shows a nice lounge area for all to sit.

• LAWRENCE (10/5): - Clean modern room situated atop New Bahru with many restaurants and a grocery store on the plaza level. Location was great, ~15-minute walk to nearby MRT stations and ~7-minute walk to the closest bus stop. nothing
• Alla (9/5): Perfect location for good price - We really enjoyed staying at Alma House. Room was rather small and simple, but for the price it is very reasonable. Location is perfect! New Bahru is very cosy and cheerful place with children playground, good grocery store and some small unique shops in the same building as Alma House. (don't miss the book store on the 3rd floor) It is easy to walk around and many sight seeings are pretty near to the stay. Staff is nice and friendly, ready to help with any trouble. Small fridge in the room would make the stay superb.

• Gerard (10/5): Exceeding expectations. - Staff couldn't do enough to help. If I had any requests they were dealt with promptly and courteously. Really loved the location. On the ground floor there is a handy supermarket along with a number of restaurants/cafes. When you want to travel further afield it's only a 10 to12 min walk to the MRT, but there is also a free bus shuttle available with drop off and pick up in Orchard. The apartment itself had all the necessary facilities - and great value for money considering the cost of similar size rooms in Singapore. Nothing. It was even better than I expected. When I return to Singapore I will be rebooking.
• Claudia (9/5): - Die Lage war super. Man konnte viel zu Fuß erreichen und auch Bus und MRT waren nah. Der Supermarkt im Komplex war klasse... Ganz kurze Wege.... Leider wurde täglich früh morgens der Supermarkt beliefert, was etwas laut war, da unser Apartment zum Innenhof (Parkplatz) lag. Man hat sich aber daran gewöhnt und es wäre kein Grund, nicht wieder im Alma House zu buchen.

• Matthias (7/5): Freundlich, aber Möblierung nicht optimal - Freundliches Personal, große Zimmer Wir hatten zwei verschiedene Zimmer, und im einen war das Bett oben und seitlich an der Wand, im anderen Zimmer seitlich und unten plus ein hohes Kopfteil zum Raum hin. Das heißt, ein normales Aufstehen aus dem Bett war jeweils nur für eine Person möglich, die andere musste unten rauskrabbeln bzw. über den Partner drüber. Vielleicht waren die Möbel nach Feng Shui gestellt.

It is located within a compound in New Bahru so there are a lot of shops and food establishments nearby. Rooms can be very far from the lift however, there are access to stairs near the rooms.

• Joël (8/5): Great stay, nice place - Alma house is located at a thriving scene with a shop underneath and many restaurants (the taco shop was really good). The room also comes with a laundymachine. Staf notified me kindly i forgot my charging cable. There was a pole located next to the bed that made it difficult to get out. On the other side, the bed was against the wall. Also there was no salt, pepper, oil, washing detergent etc so if you want to use that, you have to buy it yourself.

Not enough towels for 4 occupants. Additional towels need to be requested from reception according to housekeeper. No iron and ironing boards No coffee/tea satchets.

Pas de verre. Sinon l’appartement est moderne, assez grand pour tout une famille, chambre confortable et douche moderne.

• Sunnie (5/5): Will not stay again. - It was a spacious stay and a hip location with supermarket and restaurants. While the space was spacious, it lacked storage. It wasn't well designed i.e. lots of floor space, but not enough space to put luggage, sit down etc. The bathroom was also constantly wet after a shower and not enough towels were provided despite the design of the bathroom. The sofa bed was quite short, and should not be advertised to fit an adult.

• Tina (6/5): I liked the place - but was disappointed by the 2 day wait to have the microwave replaced - Excellent location with useful amenities nearby esp supermarket downstairs It took a long while to convince reception & then the maintenance guy that there really was a problem with the microwave. It does not take 5 minutes to get a mug of water hot !! I felt that no-one was bothered whether the facilities in my room worked or not.
• Vaishnavi Ameya (9/5): Chic, central, and thoughtfully run — I’d happily stay here again. - The location is excellent—very central and close to the river, which makes it perfect for evening strolls. It’s in New Bahru, and the complex itself is fantastic, with really cool restaurants and cafés right downstairs. There are even pottery, leather, and art classes in the same building, which I didn’t take this time but would love to try on future visits when the weather is bad. Connectivity was great: Fort Canning MRT is nearby, buses are close, and taking a taxi to the airport was easy and smooth. The staff were very friendly, and the place had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Overall, it’s a great base for exploring Singapore. The only downside was that the windows don’t open, which made the room feel a bit stuffy at times. That said, this seems to be a general Singapore building/security norm, not specific to Alma House.

• Kristian (9/5): - Excellent location at a fair price. Staff are helpful and the lobby/coworking space is useful. The best part was definitely the wider New Bahru it is a part of. There are lots of nice shops and places to eat, as well as a pleasant atmosphere. Sound insulation between the suits could be a bit better, had a loud neighbour that would take early morning calls.

• John (6/5): It's an apartment - Really liked the building complex and close to restaurants and bars No breakfast and none of the local places open until 8.30. Its a serviced apartment essentially which is fine but it's priced as a hotel. Perhaps more suited to longer stays.

• Amy (9/5): Comfortable stay in a convenient location! - Great 2 week stay! The studio was plenty spacious and really like the kitchenette and washing machine inside the unit. The lobby co-working space is wonderful, plenty of different seating for remote working. We also love the location, close enough to the MRT and having Cold Storage downstairs is so convenient. We also took advantage of the New Bahru shuttle to Somerset, it's fast and runs all day. Will stay again! Would really like a full shower door so the bathroom doesn't get wet after showering. Also would like more hangers for clothes and bigger drawers.
• Monique (10/5): Beautiful Apartment in a great complex - What a gem! This hotel is in a great complex (grocery store and restaurants onsite). It's everything I could have wanted in a short term apartment. The apartment was clean and the kitchenette was fully stocked with everything except a coffee maker but, I don't think they're popular in S.E.A. so, I was prepared and brought my own. The staff was great and very responsive and helpful.

• Roberta (8/5): - La struttura era accogliente con buoni servizi adiacenti, la posizione ottima si poteva raggiungere il centro a piedi ,e con diverse fermate del bus vicine che ti permettevano di raggiungere qualsiasi attrazione con facilità. Noi eravamo 4 ospiti e nel tavolo da pranzo erano presenti solo 2 sedie ,la cucina non è molto accessoriata per cucinarci, è stata l unica nota negativa che non ci ha permesso di usare la casa come avremmo voluto, tanto che abbiamo deciso di pranzare e cenare sempre fuori.
• Ruben (7/5): Good for a short stay in an excellent neighbourhood. Not really fit for extended stays. - Excellent location, great selection of shops (CS Fresh, PPP, Huevos, …) in the repurposed school block. Free shuttle bus to Somerset (Orchard) is quite useful. Amenities in the unit are still new (washer etc) and the shower water quality is great. The shower gel and shampoo are from a brand which is also featured in a store in the school block. The building has been optimised to include as many rooms as possible, but this design choice is suboptimal for acoustics and natural light, with a summum of having a random pole in the middle of the room. Noisy neighbours 3 days straight (playing music until 1:30 am) did affect sleep. Staff mentioned they would find a resolution, but it did not lead to an improved outcome the following night. You can also hear the light switches in the neighbouring units, and the cooker hood disperses the smell to adjacent units.

• Ahamed (4/5): Not worth it for those traveling with a family. - Central location, 15-20 mins ride to all attractions including Sentosa. Cleaning is once in 3 days. Travelling with a toddler and baby living in a shoebox sized room meant we needed our rooms tidied every day. Had I know about the cleaning arrangements would have a booked another place. It’s not worth the price (very expensive).

• Gita (8/5): Great stay at Alma - Overall we had a pleasant stay at Alma house. The staff were very responsive, accommodating and helpful. The location is great as you are close to a lot of tourist attractions. However, it is very far from some of the other areas in town (like INSEAD Business school) if you are planning on taking the metro, so we had to spend a lot of money on Grabs. There are some great shops/boutiques and restaurants in the area, and there is a grocery store right below Alma House, which is very convenient. There was a pillar in the middle of the room, which broke the entire flow of the apartment. There is no toaster and I had to ask for extra hangers as there is no drying rack available (even upon request). The shower has no door and the glass installed is very small, so the entire bathroom floods when you take a shower.

• Sharon (8/5): Excellent option for longer stays - The New Bahru area where Alma House is located is so convenient - there are coffee shops, restaurants, retail outlets and a supermarket. There is such a cool vibe. It is very convenient to the orchard road area and the shuttle bus was an added convenience. We had a 2 bedroom suite which was spacious and comfortable. It was super easy to call for a taxi or Grab (the local ride share company). Since we were there for 2 weeks, this was a great place to stay and I highly recommend it. A shower always resulted in the whole bathroom floor getting wet because of lack of a sizable shower door.
• Marilen (6/5): Alma house - Love it or hate it.you decide - Location and their shampoo and liquid soaps I really wanted to like Alma House because of its nice lobby and good online photos, but my experience was quite disappointing especially considering the high price (around S$315 per night). 1. Poor cleaning schedule: Housekeeping is only twice a week (Monday & Thursday). For my 5-night stay, my room was cleaned only once. 2. Unclean room upon check-in: There was pubic hair on my bed and the room was dusty. 3. Odd room layout: The bed is positioned with both sides against the wall, so you can only get in from the foot of the bed — very inconvenient. 4. Lack of basic amenities: No coffee or tea, just a kettle. Cups aren’t changed daily unless you message and request. 5. No proper pantry: Guests can’t wash or refill bottles in-room; you have to use the staff pantry in the lobby. 6. Minimal furniture: The room feels more like a dorm than a boutique hotel. Very basic compared to the stylish lobby. 7. Not value for money: For this rate, you can get a room at Fairmont or other 5-star hotels with proper cleaning, service, and amenities. Alma House feels more like a hostel trying to be a hotel and not succeeding at either. Definitely overpriced for what it offers.

• Horst (8/5): Perfekte Lage zur Stadterkundung - Studio nur zur Übernachtung genutzt, sauber und ruhig, moderne Ausstattung. Prima Lage, 15 Minuten zu Fuß zur u-Bahn. In alle Richtungen Möglichkeiten: Singapur River, Botanischer Garten, Marina Bay etc. kann man empfehlen. Frühstücksangebote vor Ort zu teuer, nach 5 Minuten besser und günstiger.

There is a shuttle bus to Orchard Road. The hotel is in a shopping centre called New Bahru that has lots of restaurants and a supermarket right on your doorstep. There is a comfortable communal area.

• Alessandra (10/5): I will be back. - The property is situated near restaurants, bars, shops and a supermarket, making it an ideal location for an extended stay (minimum 6 nights due to their license). The studio apartment was comfortable and spacious, and the common areas were beautiful. The highlight of the place was the staff, who were ready to help us with any request. We missed some kitchen stuff like wine glasses and a bottle opener (which we were able to borrow from the reception cafe/bar).
• Tasnima (10/5): I would highly recommend staying at Alma House during your time in Singapore as either a solo traveller or a couple. Eve - Alma House was an amazing location to stay within as it was super close to major landmarks and in walking distance to many sites that I was interested in. Also, the quality of the room exceeded my expectations - it was clean, modern and super spacious.

• Laleen (5/5): - The price was reasonable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The nearby stores and restaurants were convenient, and the free shuttle bus was a nice bonus. When we entered the room, there was a noticeable musty smell, probably from mould. The lack of shower doors and fans might be causing it. The room was okay but smaller than expected. The white sofas looked quite dirty with visible stains. We also booked a car to pick us up but it was actually cheaper to book it ourselves to be honest.
• Tinovimba (8/5): Overall we enjoyed the stay. Staff were very helpful and polite . Shout out to Adli and Isabel for being responsive to o - Liked the shabby chic look of it. Has shops and restaurants down below which is quite handy.Loved that they use WhatsApp for communication which is quite effective.Easy to get around to other tourist attractions. The area can get very busy especially over the weekend which can be a nuance .

• Kento (9/5): It was 9/10 overall! - It was clean and new. Bed was comfortable and soft. Smart TV for entertainment. Had grocery store below which was very convenient. Easy access for Grab drivers. 711 was near by as well. Wifi was high speed too. The housekeeping was only twice a week, so only had it one time during the stay. Probably could of asked front desk for clean towels, but I dried and reused it during my stay. Also, I think it felt smaller than what was advertised, but still roomier for a single person.

• Labarthe (7/5): Adequate budget accommodation. - Adequate budget accommodation. Location within SG is good for my purposes. Good range of F&B downstairs. No amenities to speak of, cleanliness not top-level, noisy (thin walls, doorbells insanely loud). Our unit had a washing machine...but no glassware. Go figure.

• Steve (9/5): Wonderful. Would happily come back, especially if I can find Kaya toast at a nearby Hawkers market! - Comfortable bed, easy access, good local facilities. Room spacious and well appointed. No iron or ironing board. Only issue (clothes all crumpled in suitcase). I wasn’t sure where the water fountain was for drinking water. Not a massive issue as I used bought water for 4 days anyway but for longer stay some direction would have been useful. This isn’t obvious to overseas travellers. Also would have like to know how to access local Hawkers market for foods- I especially couldn’t find Kaya toast nearby!. I know about them but for overseas travellers it’s not obvious how to access or find them and they are so iconic of life in Singapore.
• Jonathan (8/5): - Overall, the accommodation was excellent - clean and included laundry and a kitchenette. Service was terrific with the front desk being on WhatsApp 24/7 and super responsive to my needs. The only thing I would have an issue with is that the design of the showers is one of those "modern" and impractical takes whereby every drop of shower water ends up all over the bathroom floor which makes brushing teeth or going to the toilet a wet and uncomfortable experience. Also, the nearest bus stop or metro is about a 15-20 minute walk away and it would have been nice to have picked a location that was closer to those modes of transit but that one is on me.
