Warm shower was very poor. Not warm, almost cold. Room and hotel is outdated Receptionist gone at night. Wie leider alles ist auch dieses Hotel etwas in die Jahre gekommen - aber es war in Ordnung Die Koffer mussten wir selbst in den ersten Stock tragen - es gibt keinen Aufzug. Das Frühstück war überschaubar, aber das was es gab war in Ordnung.

Breakfast is basic but fine. Great location for walking to restaurants and tourists shopping. Quiet location. Reliance on solar means if there is not much sun then not much hot water. Not really an issue because it’s not very cold there.

Breakfast was awesome, with lots of options and nice, strong coffee. The building is beautiful and location great, as it's central, but still peaceful and quiet. The beds are relatively hard.

Breakfast was served in nice dinning room with your choice of eggs. AC worked great which is appreciated during the hot and humid days. Secure entrance with front desk buzzer. Not hotel's fault at all; but there are many street opportunists trying to sell travel packages, natural mosquito repellent or fetch a commission on just about anything! Avoid their advances politely and pick up items needed at the belen market with the help of a trustworthy guide before heading off on your Amazon adventure.

• Karl (9/5): A great place Tuesday before and after your Amazon jungle trip and after - Classy quiet building with very large room and king-size bed, room had refrigerator and microwave (so bring your popcorn), great customized breakfasts, and very helpful staff. Claudia at the front desk… always smiling and ready to help. Pretty serious stairs to go up for the second floor, but it’s a classy building and the little bit of effort sure is worth it.

Bed was comfortable and shower hot. The room was huge! Swimming pool was overly clean and the furniture was very old so it looked dirty - it was just dated with all the use. I know it adds character, but it didn't want me to sit on it.
