• Jan (9/5): Perfect villa in a great location. - Great location and facilities Nothing about the villa, it was great. Neighbour’s dog barked a lot and cockerel crowed constantly which did result in a loss of sleep.

• David (8/5): Top marks for comfort and location, though slightly impersonal - A very comfortable villa - the bed, the furniture, the hotel standard bathrooms - and all on one level. Views out front and back. A nice pool. Everything worked - the wi-fi, the hot water, the lighting, the cooker etc. A good central location in a pretty village with easy access to the Papaguyo beaches, the fish restaurants at El Golfo, the wine country, the Manrique attractions. It did not feel welcoming. We no longer expect written information about villa facilities or recommendations for local eateries, but for people like us not able to use Google Maps live on a phone to pinpoint the location, it would have been helpful when circling Yaiza in the car to have had clues, eg Calle Cilla is off Calle La Orilla. When we arrived from the airport early evening to meet the owner, we did not realise he would leave nothing in the fridge, not even a carton of milk. Neither were there any dishwasher tablets. Nor bin bags beyond the small ones in place. We were criticised in a later note for not buying and using the right size. The oft-mentioned barking dogs nearby occasionally carried on most of the night.

• Jessica (10/5): Lovely villa, friendly and knowledgeable host, in a beautiful location. - We had a fantastic stay at Villa Andy. Andy came round to check on us after we arrived and checked mid week to clean the pool. Andy is a lovely and knowledgeable guy who gave us lots of recommendations for local restaurants which were all fantastic-as a family of foodies, this really made our stay. The Villa was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The outdoor areas were lovely and the panoramic views of the national park and coast were stunning. The location is great, very peaceful which we loved. Fantastic place and we hope to return soon!
• Glynne (10/5): Comfortable, clean, great location for seeing the island. Would recommend a hire car. - Beds and sofas were as good as at home. Because of poor weather we spent more time than planned at the villa but cooking facilities were excellent, including a barbecue. Also had access to streaming services like Netflix and Prime so even a night in was extremely comfortable. Great bathroom facilities and even good hairdryers provided, along with big towels. Lots of places to sit outside with weather-resistant cushions but was too windy this week to make the most of the sun trap. The location was very quiet, with secure gates and doors, and fairly easy walking distance to some bars, restaurants and a supermarket, but we were glad of the hire car that allowed us to have a few adventures around the island. Secure parking at the villa. It was all good so nothing negative to comment on.
• Marriner (10/5): We stayed 3 weeks and the owner ensured everything was as we wanted. We intend to return. - A very comfortable and well maintained villa with a properly heated pool, hidden away in a quiet cul de sac. Personal attention from owner with immediate response when required. 2 lovely outside areas, well appointed with multiple seating. Nothing negative to say.
• Keith (9/5): Peacful luxury with all modern conviences - The location of the villa is very quiet apart from some rural noises which were quite endearing. As Yaiza is located remote from the Sea, there was little wind and therefore it was very pleasant in the gardens. There are two distinct outdoor spaces, a daytime space with the swimming pool and an evening space that has a dining area, BBQ, and sunning space with lovely views towards the Sea and adjacent volcanoes. The villa came with all mod-cons and was comfortable to stay in. We were a bit rushed to leave as there was another party arriving in the afternoon on the day of our departure. The cleaner turned up at 9:30 unannounced although 11:00 is the check out time.
