- John (7/5): Good value for money. Was clean and tidy. Quiet. A different option to staying in a hotel - Self - catering. Location good. Quiet and garden facing. Unfortunately, the TV was not working and the owner apologised.
- Angela (10/5): - It felt like a home away from home — peaceful and comfortable. I would definitely return! Everything was perfect.
- Kenneth (8/5): -
- Marcia (9/5): It was a pleasant 1 night stay. The host was pleasant and helped me with my bags. The only downside the TV wasn’t workin - It was easy to find, clean and the host was pleasant. The TV wasn’t working..

- Dean (6/5): Not what I expected. - It was close to my location where I needed to be. Coming into the entrance, there's rubbish everywhere in the front room. I had no wifi for a week, even though they said they'll sort it out. I've also messaged them about it, and never even received a reply.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Felt like home - I'm sorry it took so long for me to post this.
This was my second stay at the property, from 16-18 December 2025. I left a review for my previous stay (20-23 November 2025.)
All I can really add is that my hosts were once again super-accommodating and very kind. I hope all their Christmases are wonderful, in characterful Peterborough.
- michael (8/5): Nice place excellent hosts, good location, lovely comfy bed, nice bathroom and shower, - breakfast not provided but a welcome supply of croissants, crumpets, milk, tea, coffee, sugar A straight back cushioned chair to sit at when using the laptop instead of the rickety stool

- Elizabeth (10/5): Lovely - I hope to stay if/when visiting Peterborough again. - I loved the big cosy bed, the warmth of the bedroom and bathroom during the cold snap, and the peace. The room being at the back, there was no streetlight penetrating the curtain and I slept very well.
The bedroom is spacious and the shower is great!
Hosts are nice as others have mentioned.
I was also pleased about the availability and proximity of buses. A Day Rider is £6.50. Nothing.
Maybe some salt on the steps up to the apartment during freezing weather. (I should have asked.)

- Aleksandra (10/5): If we ever visit the city again, we’ll definitely choose this place. - Very friendly hosts, a lovely welcome with croissants and breakfast essentials, a huge comfortable bed, everything was clean and there was plenty of storage space. Peace and quiet.

- Danso-Boateng (1/5): - Poor customer service and a fraudulent act by the owner. Nothing good to like. The owner fraudulently took money (£57) from my account claiming my kids broke their heavy main metal gate without any evidence. He promised to send photos and videos as evidence, has failed to do that. This is fraud.
The check-out time was supposed to be 11 am, so why banging on the door at 9 am and kicking us out?

- Lucy (10/5): - The host was friendly! Met me outside on arrival and assisted with moving my stuff in, even made a double trip to the car and back. The accommodation was neat and quiet, very homely setting. not applicable, I liked everything. I wish I stayed longer. Will definitely want to stay in this accommodation any other time I have to book a stay.
- Philip (9/5): Very pleasant stay. - Good , clean and well equipped room.
- Alexys (9/5): Comfy accommodating and has great potential - I loved that it was like a studio apartment with all the amenities, including a small kitchen. The room was spacious with ample lighting, and the bed was ginormous and comfy. I also liked how soft and big the bathroom towels were.
There was a parking space out front, and it was quite centrally located to Peterborough town centre.
It seems as though they are still working on it...? The house was huge and lovely, and I can see potential for it being something even more special. Everything around the room seemed quite cluttered as it is part of a residential home, but it didn't interfere with our stay.
It was a little confusing on how to enter as we accidentally walked into the house and front room with our hosts were watching telly.

- Shelley (10/5): A perfect retreat for a visit to Peterborough. - An absolute delight meeting Claudine & staying in their beautiful guest house. The bed was huge & comfortable, firestick TV where me & my partner enjoyed a little evening Kareoke & the shower was perfect. It was very peaceful & I enjoyed hearing the birds in the evening. Was a nice change to the traffic I hear roaring past my window every day. Lovely large garden view & the owners was very flexible with our arrival time & they was happy to have us have our takeaway delivered to the property. We had a nice little kitchenette in the room with a fridge & hob so we was able to store cold food & do some cooking. Thankyou, we hope to be back some day ⚘️
- David (10/5): Excellent -
- Willow (10/5): Exceptional - Stunning room, wonderful hosts, beautiful garden, secure and accessible location
Heavily recommended, will stay here again when I'm next in the city I have no complaints, criticisms, or suggestions to improve. It was lovely
- Evangelina (9/5): Superb -
- Oluwatomisin (10/5): Exceptional - Very considerate and helpful.
- Lysa (7/5): Fine for our short stay - The apartment was very clean and spacious, appreciated the refreshments. The bed was hard, we could feel the base through the mattress, we resolved it by sleeping on top of the duvet.
- Glynn (8/5): Lovely place with lovely hosts - The host was flexible and friendly. We arrived later than expected because we were working late and we lost track of in the morning so we left late.
Lovely little property and it was perfect for us

- Christabel (7/5): We had a comfortable stay, we would love to book again. - Good Location, car parking great, comfortable room lots of space, inside apartment nice and tidy, very quiet place. Shower working great, Managed to communicate through email. Great Internet.
Cooking oil, tea coffee and milk it was a bonus even though we did not use it. We loved it. Apartment Very dusty, shower and toilet room very dusty, including skirting boards
, outside apartment untidy. Phone was not going through but managed through email. Fridge handle needs fixing.

- Oluwatomisin (10/5): comfortable and fairly convenient - has everything i needed, given some extra goodies too which was greatly appreciated nothing really
- R (7/5): Friendly, pleasant and good value. - Entry is via a coded keybox and went well. Entry is down the side of the house and via a huge garden. Some step and entry via a conservatory. A big and pleasant enough room with kitchenette and sofa and tele. Big, comfortable bed. Wardrobe etc. Kettle and tea/coffee. Very warm and bright separate shower room with toiletries etc. Shower cubicle was big enough and two headed shower was good. Plenty of hot water. Free private parking.
A ten minute walk from the centre. Five or less from a pub (Coalheavers) and a shop.
The host met us and was lovely. It all felt a bit out of season and the hosts wife being unwell didn’t seem to help as the cleanliness was a bit haphazard and ’manly’!? For instance the towels were clean, but, had probably been put away slightly damp; smelled of hamsters! The conservatory was unusable as it was a storage room; at the time. But, it was all friendly and quiet and good value.
- Oluwatomisin (10/5): Quick and hassle free - It had basically everything you needed for your stay, very comfortable place. It wasn’t as close to many stores as I would have liked but this was expected.
- Elaine (8/5): Very good -
- Odunayo (10/5): It was a nice place , home away from home - Very nice I like everything about it
- Odunayo (10/5): Awesome - Very nice, just like home away from home I love everything about it
- Tfnl93 (9/5): Superb - The TV has a Fire Stick so you can watch everything you need too on there
Garden area was big and smoking is fine on the little decking area
- Naomi (10/5): The hosts were lovely & very accommodating. The place was so quiet & I slept really well, lovely garden too & - Quiet, private & easy to get to places I liked everything. A few suggestions would be to have a bread knife as struggled to cut my bread, maybe margarine & some oil for cooking. Just a few basic things like that would have been great.
- Aniruddha (9/5): Superb - It's an awesome place for a short or even a long stay. Set amidst residencies, the place is easy to access from the main road where one can get a bus to other places. Hosts were really nice and had some great conversations. The place is really comfortable and with a kitchenette in place you would love to cook up some nice dishes. Nothing
- M (1/5): I wouldn’t stay here and found somewhere else for the night - As advertised, it is within easy walking distance of the transport stations and the city centre. The lack of cleanliness. Smelly leaking water into the cabinet below the sink. Dirty dishes/bowls. Plastic tub with brown debris of some sort. Remnants of food in microwave. I haven’t had a reply from the owners yet.
- Doug (8/5): Excellent for a short stay in Central P'Boro - Excellent set-up - room had everything I needed. Kitchenette good. Ensuite clean and modern. Bed comfy.
Good location - only a 15min walk into the Centre.
Good VFM - would happily return and would recommend to anyone.
Many thanks Nothing.
- Daniel (8/5): Cosy, comfortable and accommodating. - The property was well maintained, the bed very comfortable (and big) and the facilities ideal for two people for a short stay. The location was superb for accessing the city centre without being so close that it was noisy. Having the kitchenette with a hob as well as standard items like a toaster and kettle was a handy addition. The code to access the key for the property needs to be updated to the correct one. The bathroom could have done with a bit more dusting, but it was by no means unclean.
- Jacqueline (8/5): Great for a self-contained stay - Very private bedsit with very nice private bathroom. Kitchenette has all you need and there was a very generous supply of bread/cake/biscuits milk and butter upon arrival. There is a pleasant view down the garden, comfortable sofa and dressing table. Plenty of sockets. Nice fluffy towels provided. Friendly host. Clean. Only slight downside is no parking, you have to park on the other side of the (quite busy) road p on the kerb. However, there is always space there.
- Zora (10/5): Lovely Gem in Peterborough - excellent location convenient to everywhere.....beautiful garden so peaceful. everything you need for a home away from home.... beautiful studio apartment
- Phillips (10/5): Exceptional - Close to the town, by walking or by car and bus stop nearby as well.. N/a
- Precious (9/5): Superb -
- Mark (4/5): Unexpected - The inside was lovely The fact that it’s actually a room in someone’s house. This should be explained in the description of the property. We certainly would not of booked this if we had known this. We had to walk around there stuff. Clothes hanging up and that.
- Annamaria (6/5): quiet. comfy bed. hot cup of tea every night :) - quiet. bed very comfy. telly did not work and it was the football final :(
- Imisiayo (9/5): It was a pleasing experience. - This was a studio-like apartment, with basic facilities provided. It is about 7 - 10-minute drive to the train station and a 28-minute walk if you feel up to it. You can walk through the city centre and by the cathedral to the location. It is close to an eatery and ASDA, so sourcing groceries was easy. There was a TV and Wi-Fi. There's a large garden if you want to relax. Claudine and her husband were great hosts, and also gave some privacy. I would definitely come back again. I wish it had a table and a seat for working.
- Bryan (9/5): Superb - Location close to town,friendly hosts.Good size room
- Harriet (8/5): Hope to be back! - Parking available.
Size of bed and bedroom - huge! It could have been cleaner in places.
- Rebecca (9/5): Superb -
- Byron (5/5): For the price of £47 for one night it was good enough, but take tea/coffee/milk and shower gel etc. - I received an informative message from the owner welcoming us and explaining how to enter the property through the gate and the keycode for the set of keys. There is parking off the road, making it great to offload everything. It was raining heavily so had to wait for that to clear, and when we got out of the car, the proprietor came out and introduced himself and helped us to get our stuff to the room. Us oldies always have way too much baggage!
The room was a reasonable size, with a small kitchen area (microwave, hotplate, utensils and fridge), in the middle of the room is a nice large bed (queen or larger?), a nice size TV with Amazon Prime.
The bathroom was clean, with plenty of hot water in the shower, with a nice pressure of water. The towels were a lovely size and fresh.
WiFi was great.
Close enough to the town to walk into it (10 mins) or less to Asda if driving. Getting to the room down the passageway was ok during the day, but at night was a little dark but acceptable if you have good sight and sure footing, then it goes across the grass and stepping stones to a small set of steps to share an area of the conservatory with children's games and sweet papers left about. Yes, the grandchildren were about, but we didn't see or hear them.
As for the facilities, there was a glass jar with remnants of out-of-date coffee, but there wasn't enough even if it was fresh!
Nothing was supplied, not even a tea bag. The drawer of cutlery was sparse, and we washed what we wanted before use as it wasn't the cleanest, and disappointed that the dishes, again sparse, had chips or cracks in them.
The bed was a little too firm for the small wife, but was OK for me, however, the linen was adequate (a little thin, and had layers to the mattress that we didn't investigate). We were only there one night and too tired to look (as tired as the decoration of the place, ie, curtains were ripped and falling off, and drawers full of old bits that probably belonged to a member of the family that had been staying there). The faux fur throw over the small settee between the bed and the TV looked a little dubious too! With a little TLC this could be a real gem. Clean up the shower mat, get rid of the old toot, maybe a lick of paint here and there, clean the drawers out, get rid of the cracked dishes, add a couple of trays to eat our tv dinners/breakfast off and bins for the recycling.
- Janet (10/5): Exceptional - The spacious bedroom was filled with all the facilities I needed. Lovely separate bathroom with shower. And another room with comfy settees. Lovely bonus of a secluded large garden to relax in. Perfect.
- Emilia (10/5): Exceptional - The location and room are very convenient. Comfortable and very quiet.
- John (10/5): A fantastic stay as it always has been. - We have stayed here on a few occasions, and have always found it to be a fantastic stay, the owner is extremely sociable and accommodating, found that nothing was too much trouble. The apartment is clean and comfortable with everything you could possibly need to make your stay. Don't think there is anything that would have needed to be done differently.
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Steven (10/5): A nice place, good setting, home from home - I had a nine month contract in Peterborough, I had stayed in a few places before I found this one, it`s in an excellent location, with everything I needed. If you have a contract, or visiting Peterborough and need a place to stay I highly recommend.
Thank you for being great hosts.

- John (10/5): Exceptional - This is a fantastic apartment, everything you need and very comfortable. Will be booking again. Nothing not to like
- Chukwuma (1/5): Bad experience - There were stains in the bed . infact the room was not cleaned as they were bodily fluid stain on the bed and dirt that was left on one side of the room. hair strand on the bed. I had to turn the pillo case inside out. My only issue with the place is the cleanliness. if its clean its not a bad place to stay for the price. As it quite close to the location of my programme in peterborough.
