Guest Reviews

- Homsher (9/5): would definitely stay again - Location was perfect, 3minute walk to the lifts, comfy bed, onsite onsen was great to have. small but great during slow season to have alone. no common room so we either stayed in the room or went on a walk but super small town so options for places to sit and hangout are very limited
- Mirei (7/5): OK for money - The location and the comfortable bed The whole place has a student lodge vibe and the hallway was very narrow. You need to bring eye mask as there is no blackout curtain. The shared sink and bathroom were very cold so it wasn't comfortable to use during the night.

- Shiro (9/5): Great, no frills stay, for a few days! Good value. - Great spot, right next to Togari which is a bit of a hidden gem for skiing. Close drive to Nozawa for skiing as well.
The White Lodge is recently renovated form an older traditional Japanese Ryokan. Has western beds and owner is very cool, has great tips.
- Yuki (8/5): -
- Yoni (10/5): Super nice place! - We loved the place!
The owner is super nice, and the atmosphere is family and cozy. super central location!
I came with another friend to ski, the lift is a minute walk away, there is an Onsen in the hotel, everything was perfect, there is also a small kitchen where you can prepare food. Everything was nice
- Monica (10/5): Perfect ski lodge to enjoy - Location None

- Beryl (9/5): Simple accommodation for a reasonable price - Our room was compact, but clean and cosy. The staff and other guests were very friendly. The location to the ski lifts was amazing. I knew it was shared toilets and kitchenette. The onsen showers were a surprise, but we worked out a system.
The cost was very reasonable and was reflected in the accommodation. I like it all, it was perfect for us.
- DAISUKE (10/5): -
- Pavlina (10/5): Tranquil place to stay and enjoy authentic Japan snow experience. - Fantastic location right next to slopes, hot onsen, bus stop and great restaurant! Could have little common dining area.

- Kate (9/5): Great option - Superb location. Geoff who runs things was super helpful and managed to send us property we forgot to our next location. Onsen in the hotel was great. A good little mountain with much friendlier prices than nearby Nozawa. Daily buses to Nozawa make white lodge a good option for both resorts. For the price it was hard to fault.

- Marisa (8/5): Amazing location at the ski chair lift - Excellent location, just at the entrance to the ski lift.
It has a hot bath which is also very good
They also offer discounts for the ski pass and for the equipment rental. Bathrooms are shared, just that
- Luca (10/5): -
- Steve (8/5): Location and good value. - Location to ski field, a few restaurants and local store. Helpful staff. More plates and cups in the common kitchen
No private bathrooms available
- Elise (8/5): Best location and value plus!! - Location was amazing and the Management were very kind and helpful Would have loved a little more of a common area to sit and chat
- Ruth (10/5): In winter- Great for family, friends on a ski holiday - Location is great, near chair lift, onsen and the best curry house in the village. The beds are so comfortable

- Bella (10/5): White Lodge Fukujuso was the best 10 nights of our life ! Perfect location, small town vibes with not much foot traffic - Very accomodating and comfy rooms. Clean onsen area and perfect location on the mountain.
- Barbara (10/5): - Comfortable, friendly and helpful staff. Great location, nice onsen.
- Sharon (6/5): - The owner is a friendly character. The room is clean and looks recently updated. The shared sink areas also look new. Staff let me check out later which I really appreciated. Close to the bus stop and ski slope. A couple of eating options right opposite The carpets in the reception and common areas really need to be updated. Expensive for a place where you need to share bathroom and sinks, but maybe you can get a better deal if you book early. Only a small basic cooking area
- Samantha (8/5): Excellent and super helpful staff. Great - Great location, right across from Togari ski field. It’s budget price so no real complaints. The shared bathroom was quite small. The worst was the snow plow that kept waking me up throughout the night!
- Camilla (8/5): -
- Craig (9/5): Great location - Great spit
- Janette (10/5): Perfect - Great location and Geoff was so so helpful. All was great
- Benjamin Speidel (10/5): -
- Marc (8/5): -
- Geach (8/5): - The owner is Australian, and the staff speak English well, the owner helped us with discount coupons for the snow equipment. The place is right next to the slops and a bus stop. The owner is super friendly and even offered to show us some good beginner locations for snowboarding/skiing. Its not a negative for me but the village is almost exclusively cash so make sure to bring plenty of cash. There is an ATM at the post office but that's a 30 minute walk from the hotel.
My bed was super uncomfortable, however the other bed in the room was perfect fine.
- Berhault (9/5): I recommend 100% - Thank to Jeff for helping us to found out everything about Togari.
Really nice onsen in the basement.
About 5min walk 55 powder rental ski/ snowboarding really nice personnel and news equipment.
I really recommend this accommodation 👍🏼
- Isaac (10/5): Good value super convenient in a quaint ski town - Right at the foot of Togari Ski lift, 2 mins walk away! Jeff was super helpful and accommodating, he was able to guide us on where to go, how to go, ski passes, rentals etc.
- Georgia (10/5): - Comfortable rooms, loved the onsen & Geoff is a great host, gave great recommendations and helped us get around. We loved Togari, but would recommend getting a car if your interested in skiing Nozawa & other resorts- bus timetable isn’t timed with first lifts
- Nicholas (10/5): - Right on the Togari ski slopes and has an onsen. Jeff is super knowledgeable and can help you find your way around and answer any questions you may have.
- Chiaoling (9/5): - The location is great. soundproofing is not very good.
- Chiaoling (10/5): Good - The location is great。 soundproofing is not very good.
- Lachlan (8/5): - Host was very helpful, always there when needed. Togari Ski resort, restaurants, and Onsen all within 100m walk.
- aoi (8/5): -
- 庭球人 (7/5): 良かった - ゲレンデの目の前 壁が薄い気がする
- Genevieve (2/5): Budget ski in ski out. 2 Star Hotel. Basic amenities. Shared bathroom facilities. Won’t go back. - You’re paying for the location NOT the amenities. There are no private bathrooms. The showers are shared (gender separated) with a public onsen inside the bathroom. The bathroom sinks are in the middle of the hallway. Walls are paper thin so you can hear everyone brushing their teeth. The slopes are across the street so it’s practically ski in ski out. Lots of restaurants to go to, however, you must bring cash. Not many places take card. A 500Yen bus gets you from the train station to the hotel doorstep. Definitely a 2 Star Hotel. 1. Shared bathrooms in the hallway.
2. Only option is a public shower (three floors down from your bedroom).
3. Bunker dry room, very basic and precarious to climb down.
4. No hot water in bathroom sinks. Need to go three floors down for hot water to wash your face.
5. Manager is clueless.
6. Zero amenities. Not even instant coffee.
7. Hard single beds.
8. Pillows are wafer thin. Need replacing.
9. No sitting area to congregate to chat with your people or play cards so there is zero atmosphere.
10. No breakfast at all provided or offered. Suggested to go to Cafe 18 for a coffee.
11. No mirrors in the bedrooms or lamps. Bed, bar fridge and tv is all that is provided.
- Brooke (5/5): Nice place to stay for the price as cheaper than nozawa onsen. Only thing is the washing machine and dryer were broken. - Close to ski field Washing machine and dryer broken

- Tessla (10/5): 10/10 no notes - Had such an amazing stay! Were right at the foot of the ski lift at Togari Onsen which was a treat. The Lodge manager made the stay exceptional. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The onsens downstairs were also amazing.

- Leigh (8/5): - Location was close to lifts and restuarant.
- Justin (9/5): - Great little lodge with lots of charm. Clean, comfortable, and great location right at the base of the ski hill. If you want a smaller ski hill with the same snow as Nozawa, Togari is a good spot. Little onsen in the basement was nice too. We felt it was really good value here for the price.
Gábor, the guy running it, was very friendly, and went above and beyond to help us find extra ski gear when we showed up lacking. Really saved my day on the hill!
- Emilie TERUEL (6/5): Amazing location - First, the location is amazing. Togari is a small town but still, the hotel is located right in front of the bus station, the resort, and the best restaurant of the city. For that I highly recommend this place. Our guest were very nice as well. The room were very functional but clean, and there is a little shared Onsen downstairs. The bed!! Gosh, I live in Japan and I use to sleep in futons but this mattress was another level of hardness. After a long day skiing, it was very hard to fall asleep. Maybe you should pick the futon room when booking this place!
- Isami (8/5): -
- Joanna (9/5): - We were very happy to manage to find some place to stay during the most busy weekend. We could park very close to the hotel, room was warm and spacious. Although hotel is a little on the old side we did not mind. There was an Onsen downstairs and some vending machines. Nice curry house just in front of the hotel. But we really enjoyed conversations with Gabor (thank you again for all the advises on where to snowboard) indeed the ski resort you talked about was amazing!
- roberta (10/5): - Gabor was very helpful, and the lodge was everything we needed.
- Pierre (8/5): -
- Richard (10/5): - The owner was super helpful. Gave us tips about places that were around and made sure we had everything we needed.

- Mike (8/5): Handy ski stay for Togari & nozawa onsen - Great ski location at the base of Togari onsen. 30 mins $6 bus to nozawa onsen 920 & return 430pm across the road. It is being fixed up by a pleasant ausi fella Gabor & the rooms are very nice. It has a private heated bath & shower in the basement & ski storage. Nice cafe opposite & grocery store up the street. Discounted ski pass $40 & breakfast at Togari inn 18. A 3 night stay is about perfect. Online check for all guests is required to get into your room but streamlines the process. It would be nice to have some cutlery, cups & bowls in the kitchenette.
- Roy (10/5): - Great value. Warm room. Perfect.
