- Olga (10/5): -
- Antje (10/5): Toll charmantes Haus, gerne wieder. - Liebevoll eingerichtet Haus mit allem was man braucht, nebst Spielesammlung.
- Nicola (8/5): Very peaceful - Close to Cape Reinga.
A very peaceful place, and the deck was a lovely place to just sit and enjoy the bush
- Mike (9/5): -
- Jan Nelson (10/5): Good stay. - Clean and spacious Would probably need fans on warmer nights.
- Jane (9/5): Excellent! Spacious, quiet yet close to nature, and peaceful, we are definitely be coming back! - Aside from the place, the host were very accommodating. Nothing
- Candice (8/5): -
- Graham (4/5): Very hot unit with no fans or proper ventilation, and no bug screens—mosquitoes were a major problem - The location at the tip of the North Island and the cleanliness of the unit. Beware: This unit gets extremely hot with no effective way to ventilate. There are no bug screens (despite the semi-tropical climate), no fans (or a/c), and aggressive mosquitoes make opening windows unbearable.
When my family arrived in the evening, it quickly became clear that getting a good night’s sleep would be very difficult due to the heat and insects. I contacted the owner right away and was told no fans were available. She also claimed that no previous guests had requested them—however, this contradicts a clear pattern in past reviews.
Overall, customer comfort does not seem to be a priority here. I understand there may be limited accommodation options in the area, but if you value a comfortable, sweat-free, mosquito-free sleep, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere—especially beyond the usual travel booking platforms.
- Robert (9/5): Spacious single storey house with great decking, surround by bush, yet just off SH1 to Cape Reinga (some 50Kms North). - Spacious. Lovely deck area. Great location just off SH1 enroute to or from Cape Reinga. Accessible to beaches both East and West for sunrise and sunsets..🙂 Nothing..
Short but fairly steep unsealed driveway (just for those with low and underpowered hire vehicles to be aware),
- Robert (7/5): Roomy family size home easy reach from State Highway 1. - Not too far off the SH1, old style family home with rear verandah. The house consisted of three bedrooms with plenty of beds. Well equipped kitchen with all the necessities. Dinning table and chairs, large lounge area and TV. Bathroom and separate toilet. No fly screen on the windows, and no fan, the inside of the house was quite warm on our arrival, and opening windows to allow the breeze in also allowed flies etc in.
Nichts.
- Colin (10/5): Great place to stay near the Cape and other attractions! - Space, location, house, house facilities. Bed was a little old/soft/bouncy
- Keshan (8/5): -

- Bradley-Thompson (10/5): - Beautiful home and location Secluded

- ELODIE (9/5): - Petit coin de paradis paisible en recul permettant une bonne déconnexion.
- du Plessis (9/5): -
- Manukura (10/5): - My family and I enjoyed every single minute we were there, the home was very clean and comfortable, it was out of the way, it had bush trees plants scenic views and it was far to travel to other scenic destination..very happy with accommodations... Can't think of anything...
- Danika (10/5): Lovely location - Lovely quiet place. Beautiful house Hard as beds
Power cut
- Tony (8/5): -
- Michael (10/5): Got peace and quiet - The location was very private and quiet with an amazing view from the deck as well. The bathroom and toilet door has no locks. When using faucets, there's a weird knocking sound from somewhere but more likely under the house?
- Lois (7/5): -
- Winnie (10/5): Highly Recommended - Beautiful comfortable whare tucked away from all the noise. Was soo good to be back home where I lived 30 years ago. It was definately a walk down memory lane. Great hosts who went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed and the check out time was perfect for what we needed to do.
Thank yous xx

- Taahira (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chloe (10/5): Excellent accommodation - Very clean and tidy, spacious, quiet.
- Kateřina (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing pláce And great care showed by owners. we spend here night during extrémně weather condition, bit we were still kept in loop with info related to our situation.
- Manny (8/5): Great price for a lovely spot to stay whilst doing the Far North! - Great location for doing a trip to the far north. Very beautiful views, quiet, peaceful and relaxing.
As others have said some fans would have been great as windows open meant moths and other bugs.
Had some visitors with a mum cat and her kitten which we also enjoyed.
Host was lovely and accommodating too. Great value for what the price is- thanks for a nice stay
- Ignacio (6/5): Pleasant - the quiet place. nothing else
- Ben (7/5): Good location for visiting the Cape - The location to Cape Reinga and Giant Sand Dunes was great, and the space of the property for families or groups. The beds were not comfortable and it was quite humid when we stayed overnight in April, with no fans available in the property to help us sleep. Could also be improved with better tea and coffee provisions including milk. There was only three tea bags for four adults and no milk.
- Angela (9/5): Superb -
- Anto (9/5): Superb - I had a wonderful stay at this property! The house was spotless, and the facilities were top-notch, making it a comfortable and enjoyable experience. I highly recommend this place to families and friends.
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent private location Linen could be updated
Disappointed outdoor shower not connected
- Amanda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wildhaber (10/5): Exceptional - Secluded yet close to main road private super clean comfortable in beautiful garden setting peaceful with a beautiful view, an absolute no stress delight to deal with, not to far from amenities but far enough away to be in your own safe little world.
Very well appointed home away from home our group of 5 thoroughly enjoyed and happily highly recommend. We are all looking forward to another stay.
- Jane (10/5): Cute hideaway for peace and nature - Absolutely gorgeous “Bach” property. Location away from the small town is perfect. A true escape and loved the typical kiwi old style Bach. Had all the facilities you need.
- Judy (8/5): Very good - The gravel driveway was unexpected but, drivable. Kelly was very sweet to let us in a bit early. View from the deck is beautiful.
- Melanie (10/5): Exceptional - We were surprised to have this big home all for ourselves and we loved it! It has all the facilities you need, it is clean, the hostess is very kind and together it makes a good stay. The home has had an upgrade so it looks better than the pictures shown.
- Roisin (9/5): Peaceful, spacious and well-equipped. - Such a beautiful location and the home was equipped with absolutely everything we needed for our short stay. Peaceful, quiet, clean and spacious. The beds were comfy and the owner made the check in process a breeze! Only minor downside and definitely just an "us" problem was the lack of air con/fans (it just happened to be a SUPER humid night that we stayed and we couldnt open the windows due to the mozzies).
- Yulia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Avelino (7/5): Good -
- Juliet (7/5): Very pleasant. Comfortable and peaceful. May I suggest that in the booking information you point out that visitors need - We loved the location - beautiful garden with fantails! Very quiet and peaceful. Very little! I couldn’t find the hairdryer but that is not the end of the world!
- Tan (6/5): Pleasant -
- Louise (7/5): Good -
- Sheela (7/5): Good -
- Herena (8/5): Very good -
- Aaron (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shane (8/5): Very good -
- Thomas (8/5): Very good - The location was great for our visit to Cape Reinga. While smoking was allowed, we are non-smokers and we didn't notice any residual smoke smell from previous tenants who may have smoked. Lots of space for the two of us. The coffee that was provided was old and stuck to the bottom of the container. However, we had our own coffee so we didn't need to use it.
- Fletcher (9/5): Superb -
- Alison (7/5): Grateful to be able to stop here after the walk to Cape Reinga - Kitchen is spacious and adequately equipped, large dining table, pleasant deck and garden.
11:00am check out
Proximity to the beautiful Rawara Beach Insufficient linen - we needed to use two pillows each on a queen bed but only one was provided and we could not find additional pillowcases for the pillows stored in the wardrobe.
Couches not supportive - particularly in one nearest to the TV
- Des (10/5): Exceptional -
- Steve (5/5): good place to base from to explore remote northern NZ - the proprty was clean and spacious
could be suitable for invalid guests - main bathroom has accessible facilities and corridors/rooms are spacious,
lovely garden
away from main road
good views over farmland house is old
deck is in poor condition and almost a hazard
access through laundry is awkward and access to the house itself was a bit restrictive
not close to any town/facilities - bring all your food in one go
- Pamela (10/5): Thumbs up Tealuvca & wish you well.. - Possibly too many to list. The communication with the property owners. The location , views, and general area. Equipped well, in as much as walking into a family home. Not over the top but certainly adequate and comfortable. I slept well and seen a stary sky I've not come close to in decades... The fact my G'son walked in and this, this is alright, this is good!!! in short, we loved it. What's not to like? Maybe one day I'll think of something.
- Scott (7/5): Good -
- Steven (8/5): Very good -
- Phillz (10/5): Home away from home :) - The place felt like you were at home. Bed in second bedroom was super comfy so we decided to sleep in there instead of main bedroom. Location and directions were easy to follow. No disruption and super private which is what we needed after a long drive. Views were spectacular. Nothing, everything was perfect.
- Minnie (10/5): Tranquil place - The whole environment inside and out Excuse me, we loved the home and grounds.
- Nirmal (10/5): Exceptional - Location and privacy Sofa and bed
- Peter (7/5): Good - Quiet comfortable Deck needs work but OK at the monent
- Kama (10/5): Exceptional - Loved the veiw
- Hennie (6/5): Pleasant - Close to where we went in the area The polyester bedding, had to use other bedroom pillows. Furniture in the lounge is dated
- Priscilla (10/5): Exceptional - Great place and use of facilities. Suited our whanau needs. Friendly staff and contact person. Highly recommend and would definitely stay at Tealuca Holiday home again 💙
- Minnie (10/5): Rangimarie Peaceful - Tino Aatahua to k
ainga. Very beautiful home, awesome stay. Thank you 😊 Was a lovely place to lay your head when you're tired 😫 the grounds were exceptionally beautiful
- Derrick (10/5): We had a wonderful stay at the facility. My daughter loved it. - The BBQ didn’t work. Probably it was wet from the rain or gas ran out. Other than that we enjoyed the lovely place
- Swastika (9/5): Peaceful family environment - Loved the house and the peaceful environment 👌
- Ellie (9/5): Superb -
- Tina (8/5): Very good - Spacious private clean and exceptional views. Very homely.
- Vanessa (6/5): Pleasant -
- Joseph (9/5): Fabulous - The view. The cats. The shower was gorgeous. The beds. Very uncomfortable.
- Gillian (9/5): Very comfortable with a nice deck to sit out on and have our barbecue meals. - Location was great, especially if you like peace and quiet. Pretty isolated so make sure you take supplies with you.
- Frank (8/5): Very good -
- Maria (10/5): Home away from home just peaceful ☺️ - Me and my husband absolutely enjoyed being close to home. Beautiful gardens, open plan living and lots of space Would be awesome if there was an air conditioner with this crazy heat
- Day (5/5): Passable -
- Marcelle (10/5): Awesome - Exactly what we were wanting. Secluded but easily assessable from the main road. Handy to ammenties, beaches and cape reinga
Well equipped home Nō air-conditioning
- Alex (10/5): Exceptional -
- Silviu (8/5): Very good -
- Christine (8/5): Very good -
- Max (10/5): A lovely little nest. Cosy and clean. Shall surely be back. Thank you so much. - It was cosy. Lovely and clean. There was nothing to dislike.
- Huia (10/5): Exceptional - Everything
- Ani (8/5): Very good - Homely
- Georgina (8/5): Very good - We throughly enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and warm. The beds were comfortable & we enjoyed exploring the garden.
- Janice (8/5): Spacious, Relaxing - The location was pretty close to our final destination - Cape Reinga Lighthouse and the closest supermarket was only 40 minutes away from the house.
The host Kelly was also very friendly, we couldn't meet in person but she explained very clearly of how to find the house key which was very helpful.
Some board games in the living room, such as Monopoly, skip-bo etc.
The experience overall was satisfying, thank you Kelly. The heater in the living room was a bit old and rusted, it's better to replace it with a new one.
- Ralph (6/5): Pleasant - Great stop off location if visiting the far north. Nice garden and quiet location easy to find. Didn't like the beds - quite soft. Wife got lots of insect bites in bed (probably flea bites).
- Frank (10/5): A spacious gem in Ngataki - Very spacious, book-a-bach feel that was very welcoming and warm without turning on the heating. We felt so comfortable we wished we had booked longer than the one night stay. Will definitely book again when the opportunity rises, given its location as there are so little to choose from that far north.
- Chris (10/5): Very nice escape - Very private, quiet, warm and cosy. The wasps by the clothes line trying to attack me lol
- Shirley (8/5): Very good - So big and spacious great hideaway for family time 👍
