• R (5/5): Short stay with mixed experience - Location is good It’s a home stay with tiny and water leaqing rooms - pathetic part is they have dogs, I don’t complain that they have dogs they can have in their home - but for a home stay and when some one open their space to public they should not keep dogs which is creating panic in guest stay. They also helped me in getting cake for my wife’s birthday and breakfast was good

• Ganesh (8/5): Overall a pleasant stay with few things to be modified to suit everyone - The Breakfast has been amazing and we enjoyed it. The location of the property is at the centre of Madikari and so the places are easily reachable. The property is kept very clean I feel the space is limited and the cot size is small for a family of 4 members. They could remove few furniture and utilize the space to have one queen size cot. Staff can be more accommodate by assisting guest in carrying the luggages

• Tanya (9/5): Had a nice and momorable stay at Ayla homes. Thank you Urmila ji for making this possible. - I travelled with my 23 months toddler and he loves the place because of their pet dogs and friendly caretaker who runs the kitchen over there. Room and other amenities were good. Owners of the place are also very friendly and take care of the concerns on immediate basis as and when informed. Room cleaning should be done daily, not on alternate days. If possible, please include mopping as part of the cleaning process. Using only a broom won't be sufficient, as the frequent in-and-out from the room and the rains are causing a lingering smell in the room. Mopping the floor would help address this issue.

• Jyotsna (10/5): Exceptional - The first thought that comes to mind after four days stay at this place is "amazing hospitality". Wonderful location - walkable to three attractions, considerate host and staff, clean and spacious rooms. This was our first visit to Madikeri with family and everything turned out to be fabulous. They do have homemade "to be pre-ordered" dinner option which is one of rare finds. Staff prepared food as per our dietary requirements. Going to be my first preference in my next visit to Madikeri! None.

He and his wife cooked food for us it was really like your home food. I will definitely recommend this to everyone. I got this deal at very good price so i am really satisfied with the experience.

• Francois (7/5): Lovely stay for what it "says on the box" - a home stay - I had a very comfortable stay having chosen to go a bit "off the beaten track" as a tourist. The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful, within the bounds of my language limitations (see below). They offered the option of dinner (the food prepared for the family for the evening; to be paid for) that was delicious. There was filtered water freely available. Ayla Homes is within walking distance of the town centre and most attractions. Oh, and as a dog lover, the family dogs were a bonus. I'm putting this here as it doesn't fit under "what did I like". I struggled to "find" the place when I initially arrived. It is situated on a hillside, and there are two gates, one well above the house but directly across from the guest rooms; and one lower down. Have a look at the third photo - that is the gate directly across from the guest rooms and "all" that you will see from the road initially. There is a set of steps to negotiate (second photo) if you enter here. If you go to the second gate, a bit further on and lower down, that is at "floor level" and offers level access to the guest rooms. My language limitations were an issue when I got disconnected from the wifi at one point and struggled to explain the problem to the staff or get their help getting reconnected. I don't think there were bandwidth limitations that kicked in and I had the impression it was the wifi settings on my phone - I have on occasion struggled elsewhere to connect to wifi. Then a general note to travellers from out of country. Payment - as is the case for many services - was expected using a QR code that my foreign banking apps did not recognise. They do not accept credit card payments and I had to find a cash machine to draw cash to settle my bill. If you can, pay up front on the app.
• Krishnakumar (10/5): Exceptional - Guru was very obliging. He took care of the last minute request to make accommodation for our driver. The kitchen is run by a couple and they make the preparation as requested. Simple but good and hot breakfast served. Lot of open space for kids to play around. Friendly dogs who get along very well with children. Parking space available Will recommend this place.
• De (9/5): A lovely time spent at Ayla Homes - The tariff rate was reasonably priced. The cook and his wife were exceptionally helpful and served tasty homely fare The location of Ayla Homes was a tad bit circuitous but the hospitality of the owners and the accommodation made up for it

The location of the place is great as it is located near the city center which makes everything accessible- sight seeing spots, restaurants, bus stand etc. We had breakfast included in our stay and it was an absolute bonus for us as the food was home cooked , simple tasty meal. Just loved it!!! A special thanks to the caretakers , sorry didnt get their names but very friendly couple. The only downside was the room size and the view. The room size is small and there is not much of a view to the place.

Staff is extremely humble and they go over the top to keep the stay comfortable and homely. Must place. There is no such thing that i didnt like. • Deepak (9/5): Awesome stay - Very well maintained, clean, they have maintained a view of the property and they have limited rooms so it was very peaceful stay which was making our stay memorable. They have 5 rooms and all are well constructed and organised. The interior was good, there was enough space to walk around. In front of the rooms they have a big courtyard where they had put chairs, a place for a campfire, a few trees, and plants, a swing. They have enough parking, enough for the 5 rooms guests. It is very near to Raja ji seat and next parallel road to the one which goes to Raja ji seat view point. We asked to prepare dinner as they have a caretaker and it was very tasty, tasty as you get at home. Breakfast also was good. They served morning tea and evening tea which was inclusive of rent. The missing thing was, they need to put a board of their homestay so that someone can easily identify it. Bathroom taps have to be audited and repaired

• Subhojit (9/5): A Complete Value for Money and pleasant stay - The location of Ayla Homes is probably one of the best. Situated 2 mins from the main town area and Raja's Seat. You will not have any difficulty finding a local restaurant, wine shops, chocolate/spices store. The breakfast provided was very good and they are flexible with your request. Lovely family with few cute puppies. A very pleasant experience. Thanks! Nothing that I can point finger at, but if you're going to party till late night and make noise, might not suit your requirement

• Rohit (10/5): Beautiful stay with a great location, and a great hospitality - Right from the time you enter this place, you'll get the cozy vibe. Location- located at the heart of Madikeri, everything is nearby. You honestly can't find a better place to stay. Staff- there's one caretaker and one person who cleans the rooms. Both of them are so hospitable. When we arrived, the caretaker immediately asked for tea/coffee, was super polite and cooked an amazing breakfast. Breakfast- what a delicious Aalu Paratha and Puri Sabzi. Finding this kind of food in Madikeri/Coorg is difficult. (Adding to this, if you're a vegetarian, finding good places to eat is difficult in Madikeri) Had a quick chat with the owners of this place. They made sure we felt at home and at ease. They even let me use their personal fridge. Isn't this awesome ?! Photos which you see on the website are exactly what the property is. In fact they didn't upload more photos which will do more justice to this property. Nothing

In the true sense it was a homestay because it felt like a home away from home. We were instantly at ease and a plus is that it's pet-friendly and extremely welcoming Nothing as such. But it would be nice to maybe add a few AC rooms in their offerings as it can get quite hot in Coorg during summers.

The rooms were so well maintained and so clean. The food prepared by the staff was so homely and tasty. My mom dad were afraid at first instance because coming from Odisha and travelling to Coorg was some transition. But the food just lit our mood. Not Applicable 😀

Very big open space where one can rome around. Breakfast was really good- mostly two items but very good and tasty. Shared kitchen space is available to cook something. Cleanness should have been better. The glasses kept in the room was not clean.

• Sumit (9/5): i like the overall experience i would definetely suggest the property. - The things i like 1) Breakfast - Breakfast was very nice and fresh you will feel like you are eating at your home. 2) Location - Location is very nesr to the famous tourist attraction like Raja ji seat & the food outlets like dominos is on walking distance. 3) View - The location was very good they have a open space for kids and a rooftop will give you a very good view where you can enjoy your morning tea. 4) Rooms - Rooms are quite nice, neat & clean. Things i did not like. 1) Tv - They don't have television or radio or any music system in there room. 2) Swimming pool - i felt like swimming pool was missing would suggest if you can use the space to built a swimming pool that will be nice.
