• Kararaina (10/5): - The host waited for us to arrive and welcomed us even though we arrived at 11pm. Great aircon, very clean and great place to stay for the night for good price
• Amber (6/5): Voor de prijs een prima kamer voor één nacht, verwacht er niet veel van. Aardige host! - Hele aardige host, die met je meedenkt. Voor de prijs die je betaald is het een prima optie voor 1 nacht. Kleine, onhygiënische badkamer, putjes liepen niet goed door. Wat smaller bed, wat niet heel lekker lag. Een wat smoezelige kamer.
• Mome (10/5): Ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen! - Das Zimmer ist schön gross und sauber. Es liegt in einer ruhigen Gegend, aber man ist schnell überall. 2 Minuten zum Strand und es sind auch Restaurants und Läden in der Nähe. Vom Balkon kann man den Sonnenuntergang genießen. Die Familie ist sehr freundlich und hilft gerne. Nichts

• Viktors (9/5): Very good place. - Very good place in calm area. Great service. A mirror by the sink would be a great addition.
• Jennie (10/5): A perfect place to stay before or after a flight, or if you want somewhere quiet with a local feel. - Large modern clean room, good wifi, quiet residential area with a local feel, kind helpful staff, with good communication. Not many restaurants close by.

• TW (7/5): Für eine Nacht okay, mehr wenn sie sich bessern - Das Apartment wird von einem Mann und seinem Sohn geführt. Sie sind sehr nett, mir wurde bei der Ankunft direkt etwas zu trinken angeboten. Direkt unter dem Apartment ist ein kleiner Kiosk, gehört ebenso dem Verwalter. Die Bilder entsprechen soweit der Realität. Es gab eine Steckdose am Bett. Es ist süß gemacht mit bunter Bettwäsche, Ventilator und Klimaanlage haben einwandfrei funktioniert. WLAN war sehr sehr gut! Die Lage ist okay, man muss ein Stück laufen bis man zu einem guten Café oder Restaurant kommt... Es war nicht sauber. Es wurde offensichtlich nur die Toilette gereinigt und über den Boden gewischt, aber es war an vielen Stellen unrein, ich habe die Oberflächen im Bad selber sauber gemacht, es gab Ameisen und Spinnen... Ich habe es auch angemerkt, sie haben versichert, dass sie sich für die Zukunft bessern. Im Raum waren Möbelstücke, die keinen Nutzen hatten und leider gab es keine Möglichkeit seine Kleidung abzulegen, außer auf einem Stuhl. Die Reinigungsutensilien waren im Bad und Wohnraum verteilt - das könnte man besser lösen... Hinweis: Es wird nur Bargeld akzeptiert. Ohrstöpsel für die Nacht sind ratsam, wenn man empfindlich mit Verkehr ist.
• Chelsea (8/5): - Zeer vriendelijke host. Heeft ons ook afgezet aan de bushalte wanneer we vertrokken. Voor de prijs die je betaald is de kamer zeker oké. De airco werkt goed. Soms wat lawaaierig maar dat is niet iets waar zij aan kunnen doen.
• Timo (8/5): Sehr angenehmerer Aufenthalt. - Sehr bequemes Bett. WLAN. Ab morgens hört man die Straße, war aber kein großes Problem.

• Simone (6/5): Occhio! L'ottima valutazione inganna - I proprietari sono molto gentili, disponibili e sorridenti. E hanno fatto di tutto per farci sentire a nostro agio. Siamo stati attirati dalle ottime recensioni, ma quando siamo arrivati alla struttura ci siamo accorti che la camera è arrangiata al piano superiore dell'appartamento dei proprietari. Il prezzo è sicuramente basso quindi non ci aspettavamo una camera di livello, tuttavia il bagno era sporco (con il wc incrostato), i muri ammuffiti, e il soffitto con un buco e poco isolato (si sentono rumori degli animali sul tetto). La zona è abbastanza decentrata.

They were so kind and helpful and even took us on a tour through te city to show us al the highlights. They also made us breakfast and arranged our bus to the next destination. Would 100% recommend to stay here! .

• Rainer (8/5): Nice hosts, good value, 20 minutes by car from airport - I basically booked this for a sleep-over before going back home from the airport, so I arrived from Galle around 7 pm and left around 6:30 am the next day. Still, I got to know the family a bit. Very welcoming and friendly, they served me tea in their parlour, I had a very interesting chat with their son Rahul, who speaks very good English, and I met the family cat, too. You don't share rooms with the family, but get a completely separate room upstairs with a private bathroom. Everything was clean and worked really well. The room doesn't have air-conditioning, but a massive fan right over the bed. Cranking this up and leaving the windows open, I slept pretty well. Rahul told me they're planning to have an air-conditioning installed, so it might even get more comfy in the future. Good value for the money. Neighbourhood seemed okay, it's just a bit difficult to go out for food after 10 pm, so better do that earlier. Nice hosts, good value, definitely recommended! Nothing. I do prefer rooms with air-conditioning, but the fan worked well and the room was very affordable.
• Anja (10/5): Perfect last night in Sri Lanka - The family welcomed me very warmly with a cup of tea. We sat in their living room for quite a while, chatting and learning from each other. The room is nice and had everything I needed for the night I stayed. I can definitely recommend this homestay and will come back when I come back to Sri Lanka. It is a 20min walk from the bus station where the bus to the airport is leaving.
• Amita (10/5): Exceptional - What a special little gem this is! The family were so kind and thoughtful. I was travelling solo and felt so safe and welcomed. It was a privilege to enjoy delicious egg hoppers in their home and very handy having the shop downstairs! Loads to explore 'off the beaten track' in the neighbourhood but also 10 minutes walk to swimming beaches. I can't recommend Lemon Stay enough - it captures everything that makes Sri Lanka so special - hospitality and warmth. Communication before and during my stay was excellent too.

• Sophie (8/5): Very good - Arrival at Lemon stay was very welcoming. We enjoyed talking with the family and sharing some stories. They even offered to help us with the busticket to our next city including dropping us off at the station. Unfortunately something went wrong with the tickets, but Ravi went out of his way to help us to still get to our planned location. Their hospitaly was a great welcome to Sri Lanka.

Once the gate in front of shop is closed, its quite difficult to open it (you just need to move with is to the side, but its not easy at all as it is broken - if u are not strong enough, then u stuck). Cold water in the shower

You will be the only guests as they only have one room. 15 minute tuk tuk from the airport. Nice place to stay for one night before exploring Sri Lanka or taking onward flight. 20 minute walk away from main beach with shops and restaurants.

He waited up for us as we had a late flight and made sure we had a comfortable stay. Very clean room, has everything you need & good WiFi. I would highly recommend for a short stay in Negombo.

I was able to Check in in the middle of the Night, was picked up from the Airport and was welcomed with homemade tea. On top, I was able to enjoy homemade breakfast and traditional Food! Rahul is Easy to Communicate with and really Supports you in anything you Need. Super located if you want to explore Negombo! Thank you for Everything, Would love to come back! Nothing!:)

• Hannah (10/5): Perfect for a short stay in Negombo - In a great location for the airport, they also do airport transfers which I would recommend! Rahul was very helpful, with moving my bags upstairs, recommendations for dinner, and even waiting with me until my (late) airport taxi turned up. Up a spiral staircase which is a bit difficult with luggage.
