• Ruth (10/5): Very nice hotel with great garden and swimming pool eith Jacuzzi - Lovely hotel and great facilities. The staff was good to us and helpful. Nice to relax after days tour in the jacuzzi or swim in the pool. The restaurant is good. Breakfast was good also.
• Espitia Solano (8/5): Lindo pero la ubicación no es tan buena. - La habitación linda y amplia, las instalaciones están bien, pero la verdad en fotos se ve más lindo de lo que es. El desayuno era bien completo y tenía todo lo necesario para nosotros. Está bien lindo pero me pareció un poco caro ya que cobran como si fuera un mini resort y no lo es. La ubicación en Santa Catarina me pareció fatal ya que es solo un caserío sin oferta gastronómica ni nada, tienes que ir a panajachel para encontrar buenos restaurantes o tiendas en general, difícil y costoso el transporte hasta Santa Catarina. Además me pareció muy costoso el restaurante en el hotel, cobraban carísimo y muy pocas opciones, lo cual nos obligaba a ir hasta Panajachel siempre.
• Anga (9/5): If I ever return to this area I would definitely return to this location. - This was a beautiful resort like hotel stay in Santa Catalina, with a great view of the lake. The hostess receiving us was knowledgeable and friendly. The pool was large and inviting and I especially like the hot pool, ( much larger than a hot tub) which was super relaxing. We took a junior suite and I think it was well worth the few extra dollars it costs. I was very impressed with the original artisan work incorporated into the architecture and lighting. I wish I could have stayed longer. The service at our dinner was incredibly slow. The food was delicious but I had to cancel my dessert as I just got tired of waiting. It took just over 45 minutes to receive our dinner after ordering.

Es necesario trasladarse siempre en tuktuk si no tienes vehículo propio para ir a Panajachel, lo que sube un poco más el precio. Y en la zona de restaurante siempre sonaron las mismas 5 canciones todo el día, cansa un poco.

Llegamos sin reserva ,pedimos ver la habitacion , nos mostraron la numero 27 , ya estaba lista , hicimos la reserva por esta plataforma , pero muy mala onda la recepcionista nos hizo esperar a las 3 de la tarde para darnos paso a la habitacion . A la noche prendimos el ventilador que hacia un ruido insoportable.

The room was comfortable My room was near the restaurant on the ground floor which made it quite noisy. Would recommend requesting to be further away from this main area. There is a lot of local noise too so bring your earplugs

• Sydney (5/5): Great hotel, bad location - Very pretty and clean. Nice restaurant, good food Extremely hard to find, no real entrance which is so odd? You had to enter thru the back alley way? We were also locked out and couldn’t leave early in the morning to catch our taxi, someone had to unlock the gate for us at 4:30am. The hotel is very nice but it is the weirdest location. Surrounded by insane amount of construction and a very small town with nothing to do, I wish there were more activities to do on property. There are also no shampoo / conditioner or body wash in the bathrooms? Crazy.

• Vergitsis (7/5): Lugar Hermoso, Personal desmotivado y agresivo. - El lugar es hermoso. La ubicación y el entorno son muy agradables. El hotel tiene buen potencial por su estética. Esta cerca al embarcadero privado para conocer los demas pueblos en barco privado una experiencia fantastica y costó Q800.00 para 4 personas en vez de los Q1500.00 si se reserva con el hotel (no reservar con el hotel, reservar directamente con los capitanes caminando 2 minutos al muelle) La actitud de la mayoría del personal fue muy mala. La recepcionista y los camareros mostraron una actitud indiferente y poco profesional, como si no quisieran estar ahí. Falta total de servicio al cliente: no ofrecieron ayuda con el equipaje, incluso sin ascensor. Una de sus reglas es no alimentos o bebidas que no se hayan comprando en el hotel, algo ABSURDO para un hotel que no es all inclusive, y que ya estas pagando para estar ahi. Comparado con otros lugares en Guatemala (Santa Catarina Palopó, San Marcos, Panajachel), donde el servicio es amable y atento, aquí la experiencia fue completamente lo contrario. En general, el trato fue frío, distante y poco hospitalario.

El pueblo es muy pequeño pero más lindo que Panajachel y salen embarcaciones hacia el resto de los pueblos. La comida del restaurante está bien. Más caro contratar excursión privada desde el hotel que desde el puerto por nuestra parte.

• Ben (9/5): - Amazing location close to the lake in Santa Catarina. The hotel was beautiful, with stunning views of the lake, lovely green areas, and a great setting. The rooms were very nice, and overall it was a fantastic place to stay. The breakfast was just ok, and since we stayed in a room above the restaurant/bar, music was played quite early in the morning, which made it a bit noisy. It would be great if the volume could be lowered to make it more comfortable for guests staying above to rest well.

• Bernardo (9/5): Opção tranquila e relaxante - O alojamento é muito bem decorado e as piscinas (especialmente a aquecida) são algo muito positivo. O restaurante também tem comida boa, com opções locais e com um ambiente excelente. A hora de check in foi bastante rígida. As cortinas são claras e portanto a luz entra muito cedo no quarto, tornando-o também bastante quente. Para a proposta de hotel que é estão em falta algumas comodidades como ar condicionado ou secador de cabelo. A localização, Santa Catarina, é perfeita para quem quer fugir à confusão de Panajachel, ainda assim deixa este hotel num ponto um pouco isolado. A melhor maneira de lá chegar é apanhando um tuk tuk de Panajachel. As lanchas que existem são privadas e portanto muito mais caras que aquelas que estão disponíveis em Panajachel. O que para nós funcionou muito bem foi desde o primeiro dia, conseguimos um contacto de um tuk tuk e fomos mantendo o contacto com ele para para estas viagens.

• Sydney (10/5): We really enjoyed staying at the hotel - the beds are comfy, the scenery is beautiful, and the staff are all very kind! - We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Santa Catarina. It was nice to be super close to Panajachel but still in more of a quiet neighborhood village setting. Our room had beautiful views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The bed was very comfortable. The balcony was also very cute and comfy. Being able to use the pool was a highlight! The bathroom window doesn’t close and somewhere in the neighborhood someone was burning stuff and the smoke got into our room at times and irritated my husband’s throat. I don’t think it’s the hotels fault and was probably bad timing but just something to note!

• Arlene (9/5): - It was situated in a small town near Panajachel, the grounds were gorgeous. We got the lake view I would skip it. Save your $. Lake view is visible on the balconies. The room also had a funny smell and did stick to our clothes the next day but overall it was a very nice property. We did not try their food as we had brunch the next day at Kinnick. If you can get there DO NOT MISS OUT! We met people in Antigua who had food here and they said it was so good. I honestly believe them but we only stayed one night and checked in late so we really didn’t get to enjoy it thoroughly. Again beautiful property in a quiet area of town. The smell in the room.

• Krisztina Bianka (6/5): Nagyon drága szállás, kritikán aluli reggeli és hozzáállaás - Gyönyörű a táj a szállás csak ettől jó. Sajnos az étteremben dolgozók feleslegesen vannak sokan-nem hatékonyak. Reggeli: kritikán aluli: hűtőizű vaj, hütőizű eperlekvár, vagy rántottát eszel 4 napig vagy pancake-t. Más választásod nincs. Vagy gyümölcslét kapsz vagy 3 szelet kis dinnyét. A pincérek ott állnak és néznek mit eszel... és még nem végeztél de kikapjál eloőled a tányért. Egy ilyen drága szállásnak svédasztalosxreggelit kellene biztositania. Régi lelakott szobák, besüppedt ágyak. Nincs száritási lehetőség. A nagymedence jéghideg. A szállás egyedüli vonzereje a forróvizes medence. Problémánk volt a másik foglalással-a gyerek nem kapott a szobához reggelit-ki kellett fizetnünk plusszban. 500 Usd/4 éjre egy 10 éves gyereknek a reggelihe nem fért bele a szálloda kereteibe. A foglalásunkon az van hogy a végső ár tartalmazza a reggelit is-hát nem. A környéken semmi nincs! Még egy étterem sem. Panajachelbe bejutni körülményes és drága. Állitólag van a szállodának shuttle service to Panajachel... sajnos mi nem tudtunk élni vele mert a recepción letagadták! -letagadták a shuttle sevice-t Panajachelbe.. hívni akartak 40 Q-ért tuktukot/fő... 5 fő voltunk... -borzalmas reggeli- vagy tojás vagy pancake -állott vaj, lekvár és hideg pancake az étteremből.. -nincs semmi a közelben. -baromi drága igy az itt tartózkodás -jéghideg nagymedence -rosszul váltanak pénzt

Its not at the waterfront there is a 5 min walk to the pier. It is in a separate town than panajachel so for restaurants and other atraccions it is a 10-15 min drive. If you want a quiter a little bit further away option this is great.

Very quiet except for the night of the big fiesta in the town. Good breakfast, and decent options for dinner…which is a good thing because the other restaurants in this teeny town close early. Santa Catarina Palopo is very authentic - great views and people watching and not much else, but there is also easy pickup truck or tuk-tuk access to the other nearby towns. We totally enjoyed our 3-day stay. Nothing

• Miroslaw (9/5): Amazing boutique hotel - Quiet location. Great lake and volcano view, best from room 51. Restaurant is serving very tasty food. Service in the restaurant is amazing. Sitting there you can also watch volcanos. The main (bigger) pool is not heated.
