Bar food lovely Few language issues and understanding of when we ordered food etc Bed not very comfortable didnt sleep well both nights. Pool full of kids jumping running splashing with noone to tell them to stop. We didnt stay too long. Food in golf course 7/10 curry had skin on it..ordered and delivered to table in about 3mins..so not fresh made. Glass got smashed and took my husband to get up and offer to help clean up as glass everywhere.. it was quickly sweeped but they missed most of it. And children and people in sandals about. Glass smashed outside in gardens..near mini golf.. obviously from night before.. but glass everywhere and looked like strawberry daiquiri. Again near children and over walk way.. Breakfast staff bit slow in getting coffee ordered, clearing plates etc , last 2 visits havent been as good as before. Seems have lost bit of its charm.
Donna (8/5): Pleasant stay but we felt it was overpriced given the areas we felt needed attention. - Stunning grounds around the hotel and golf course. Lots of areas to lounge inside. We felt the hotel was looking a bit tired in areas, corridors etc. A bit dated and need of a freshen up. The bedroom was fine in terms of decor but the bathroom was very dated, the toilet was so low, not sure how elderly people would cope with it. The wooden bath panel was warped and rotten in places probably from years of moisture and steam.

Freeman (6/5): A disappointing memory to look back on. Pretentious decor and poor food but a lovely room. - Room and bathroom were lovely. Plenty of space especially in the bathroom. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was good. Signage around the bedroom areas as it's so sprawling. Food for both dinners was only average which was disappointing. Not fine long grain rice with curries, more like cheap easy cook. Dessert was awful. Meringue nest was rock hard, strawberries were frozen/cold in centre and cream was fake. Food felt too filling and not healthy. Singer in the bar at night was far too loud and there was no option except to sit out in the reception which was full of families. Disappointing. Not ideal for a couples break.

Breakfast was lovely and good service. We attended for a wedding so overall service and staff were very good - really lovely gardens and grounds As above - expected a little more of the softer touches in the room, but overall ok

Lots of wee areas with comfy chairs and sofas,great for a chat and drink. Plentiful breakfast that was both tasty and hot. Can't fault this hotel!

Claire Anne (10/5): Family friendly relaxing trip - Great staff. Food is excellent. Eat in the golf lounge the 2nd night and it was amazing. It was my fathers birthday and they stored a cake for us and were so helpful at an request. Breakfast was very good and staff so helpful. I used the spa, the toliet unfortunately were out of order and i had to use the upstair pool toliet but outer then that it was very relaxing spa. There is a kids club which some of our party used and recommended. The pool was clean and free towel provided. Live music in the bar both nights and a very friendly atmosphere. Lovely as a treat. It is pricey but its a 5 star hotel so you expect to pay A small thing, some of the party had checked in online and thier rooms were not ready until near 4pm.the staff did take thier language to the room but my sister was unable to retrieve her case again after this as the room could not be accessed until cleaned. However she did get a later check out for free due to the inconvience
Richard (8/5): Overall a good stay, money has been spent refurbishing the bar area but the pool area is quite grubby, the roof looks ba - We’ve been visiting for years although it’s been some time since our last visit. The bar has had a refreshing change. Breakfast was brilliant with a huge selection. We stayed in room 607, a few odd features where a blue toilet seat, a massive metal sign on the bathroom door saying bathroom, why?? & a roller blind that covered the mirror, so random!

No drinking water in the bedroom, need to get up and go out to the corridor to locate a tap and fill your own, not sure if this is piped straight from the mains or is proper bottled water?

Brenda (9/5): This is a great location for a family event with a beautiful setting in the golf club restaurant. - I was there for a family occasion as were a lot of other parties. It was extremely well organised and child friendly. The golf club restaurant has a beautiful setting and great space for various groups of diners. The food was very good. The bedroom was super quiet with a good shower and a comfy bed. Staff were very friendly, dedicated and very hard workers. I enjoyed the crazy golf course and the setting is beautiful. Lots to do to keep people occupied - golf, tennis, pool, gym, walks, games room, good range of TV channels. It is a very well run establishment with professional, dedicated staff; no complaints at all.
