- YASMIJN (10/5): We came back a week later! - Sarah & Hugh are fantastic hosts, facilities are comfortable, clean with everything you need. We loved seeing the farm and feed the animals! Breakfast was another level, so good, with fresh baked bread. We re-booked a week later on the return way of our trip through the UK, as it is close enough to Dover harbour
- Katelyn (9/5): - Hugh and Sarah were both so hospitable, it was a real pleasure to meet them. Breakfast was delicious too.
- Carl (10/5): Very relaxing and accommodating made to feel very welcome - Very homely, very clean and accommodating. Beautiful location and great facilities It was fantastic
- Gillian (10/5): Lovely trip to Kent with great hosts. - Breakfast was a great selection. Loved the secluded location. Perfect for a country feel. Loved the tour of the smallholding and even got to feed lambs and a goat kid. Hugh and Sarah are super friendly. Couldn’t bring my dog. That was fine on this trip. I would need a different place if Molly was coming too.
- Igor (9/5): -
- Anne Marije (10/5): Hele fijne plek, vriendelijke mensen, prachtige locatie en heerlijk ontbijt! - Gastvrijheid Nvt
- Claudia (9/5): - Sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Tolles Frühstück mit allem was dazu gehört. Durften den Lämmer dir Flasche geben.
- Thomas (10/5): - Sehr nette Leute. Sehr familiär!
- Rob (10/5): - We had a 1 nite stay. The house was beautiful. The room was perfect that we stayed in. Shower was lovely and hot, the breakfast was yummy. The choice far exceeded our expectations. The home baked bread was amazing, fresh eggs, we literally cant think of anything we personally could fault. We got to see all the animals and feed them. Even got to go see the cows that my partner loved. It was like going on a mini safari. Perfect anniversary had. Thank you for having us. Rob and jo
- Alan (9/5): Intelligent and friendly conversation, homely, excellent hospitality, very relaxing. -
- Stephen (10/5): A very warm welcome awaits you - This is no ordinary B&B, more like visiting old friends, the welcome and stay was so warm. The hosts simply couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast had fresh baked bread, cakes, eggs fresh from the resident chickens, fruit so fresh it might have been picked that morning, coffee brewed to order. There was always a cake on the stand, help yourself, and if going out for the day, it was there for your elevenses nicely wrapped in foil. Evenings after dinner in a local pub were spent in conversation (if wanted) over a glass of wine. Remember this is a farm, so if feeding little lambs with a bottle is your thing, put on your wellies and make your way to the lambs in the field. We did draw the line at giving a piglet a cuddle though! Nothing the hosts can put right, but the country lanes in Kent are a bit of a shock if you aren't used to them.
- Tuan (10/5): a brilliant b&b - The hosts are very accommodating and open the entire house and farm for you. The room we slept in was very clean and the breakfast delicious. Also great location - only 15 drive minutes to Canterbury.
- Edoardo (10/5): - Everything was perfect! The warmth of the atmosphere was perfect and Hugh and Sarah made us feel at home, even better actually. We will come back for sure!
- Monika (10/5): Outstanding! Richtig gute Zeit. ./.
- Anne (10/5): Relaxing countryside retreat- great for families - I think this was about our 10th visit to Withy Farm. We love the warm welcome, the beautiful location, comfy clean rooms and best of all during this stay we got to meet lots of the baby farm animals! Nothing- it’s just a wonderful place
- Alexander (10/5): - Lovely owners. Very friendly and accommodating. Had a lovely night there and stayed the whole morning enjoying the farm!
- Raul (10/5): Amazing stay - Everything. The room was big with a big bathroom. Lovely views of the property and orchard beyond. The location is perfect for being in the countryside but close to everything you need. The animals ❤️, the possibility of feeding them and pet them, TOP. But the very best, were Sarah and Hugh. They are authentic and genuine, truly hospitable hosts. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway. All was perfect.
- Syra (10/5): The re-set you need! - We LOVED our stay at Withy Farm. From the moment we arrived, the hosts made us feel like we were at home, they had baked us special treats (even thinking about dietary restrictions), and we exchanged stories with them. The hosts are incredibly interesting people and we had a wonderful time. The accommodation is gorgeous, and the tour they gave us of their farm animals was incredible. We left feeling refreshed and relaxed after only a night.
- Peter (9/5): -
- Anne (10/5): Somewhere we will visit again (and again!) - Made to feel exceptionally welcome. Really clean and comfortable and a lovely breakfast. Nothing
- Beatrice (9/5): Lovely location, friendly welcome and helpful with unusual allergy: what more could you hope for. - The welcome was very friendly, like we’d been friends for a long time. We had said one of us had an unusual food allergy and the owners were really helpful in checking what would be ok for breakfast. They booked a table at a local pub for us on the night we arrived and made them aware of the food allergy too, which was very kind.
- Cameron (10/5): - Hugh and Sarah are fantastic hosts and have a lovely home!
- Josephine (10/5): Home from home! - Fab welcome from Sarah and Hugh, comfortable and clean. Delicious food and good company! Thanks both! Nothing
- Angela (10/5): We felt very welcome and looked after by our hosts who could not have done more for us - we arrived late and they had pr - Very homely - felt like a guest in someone’s home A little difficult to find in the dark
- anniebirch (8/5): Food lovely bur as couple of unwelcome surprises - Personal welcome. Lovely food Was shocked to find that the door to my room had no lock. As a single woman I put a chair in front of it in case of anyone entering!
Also walls were so thin that I was woken twice by snoring next door . Not a good night's sleep
- Sharon (10/5): Spot on in every way with comforts of home and a fantastic breakfast spread - Beautiful location in the midst of the gorgeous Kent countryside within easy reach of Canterbury, Whitstable and Deal. The owners, Hugh and Sarah live on site and are so welcoming and hospitable Nothing, was a perfect 2 night break
- Johan (10/5): Perfect -
- Amy (10/5): Super stay in a lovely setting - Hugh and Sarah were wonderful welcoming hosts, we had a fantastic time and only wished we were staying longer! The breakfast was delicious with lots of homemade produce, we loved the animals, the garden was beautiful and Sarah gave us a great recommendation for dinner. We couldn’t have had a better stay. Everything was great
- Joy (10/5): Excellent accommodation with friendly hosts - The breakfast was excellent as there was a good choice of things. Home produced eggs were served every morning in whichever way you wanted.
Home baked soda bread which was delicious.
Fresh juices, followed by tea or coffee. Having to pack after our stay to go home.
- Patricia (10/5): -
- Anne (10/5): A wonderful mini break for me and my 7 year old son. He loved feeding the animals, collecting the eggs and curling upon - Hugh and Sarah are so welcoming. Withy Farm feels like a home from home. Nothing!
- Sophie A (10/5): Beautiful escape to the country! - This is a truly special place to stay in a beautiful part of Kent. The hosts have created a wonderful 'home from home' with the bonus of being on a farm with lots of animals! Highlights were the clean and sparkly bathroom, view from the bedroom and generous farmhouse breakfast. The bed was a little soft for me, but this was a very minor point and was outweighed by all the positives.
- lucy (10/5): My daughter and I had a lovely pre birthday stay and will definitely go again! - How welcoming the hosts Sara and Hugh were, the location was beautiful, animals so cute and food excellent 😁 Nothing not to like
- Angela (10/5): Hugh and Sarah are lovely hosts , the stay was great in a great location and breakfast was enjoyable too - Lovely location and lovely farm and hosts Nothing
- Βασιλική (10/5): Staying at Withy Farm felt like visiting friends rather than checking into a B&B. Sarah and Hugh wel -
- Tibor (9/5): - This really a farm, one should not compare to a downtown hotel. Otherwise checks all the boxes: lovely people, silent environment, good breakfast Bed is a little narrow
- Marcia (8/5): -
- Joanna (10/5): A wonderful and unforgettable stay - My 13 year old daughter and I had an amazing and unique stay at Withy Farm. Sarah and Hugh were incredibly warm, welcoming and generous.
My daughter was able to feed and stroke the goats and pigs and to collect and eat freshly laid eggs. It is a lovely spot in beautiful, typically Kentish countryside. We were treated to cake, sausage rolls and even a glass of wine for me. We had dinner at the Woolpack which was a five minute drive and delicious food. Chilham the nearest village is very pretty. Bonus - no farm smells or early morning sounds (the windows are triple glazed!) We will definitely be back. Nothing. It was the perfect stay for us.
- Wolfgang (10/5): Just perfect - - [ ] I regularly travel to England, so I’ve been in some B&Bs and guesthouses. Looking at the ratings of other guests before booking all have been good or very good. Withy Farm is the best I’d ever been. Sarah and Hugh are incredible hosts, always going the extra mile for their guests. Great hosts, a wonderful room with a beautiful view, a quiet night, a delicious breakfast - you couldn’t ask for more! —-
- Simon (9/5): A lovely farm stay with fantastic hosts and a great place to chat with fellow guests. -
- John (10/5): A great place with wonderful hosts - Our Hosts were very welcoming and made us feel very much at home. You wouldn't wish for a better place to stay. They were very generous which made our stay even more enjoyable.
Thoroughly recommend Withy Farm and our Hosts. There was nothing to criticise.
- Susan (10/5): Warm, beautiful, homely, amazing!! - It was exceptional!! The hosts made you feel like family! Sarah is an amazing cook!. Food was abundant and freshly picked or gathered from their farm. Room was large, clean with an ensuite which also was beautiful. Hugh and Sarah were very helpful. We would loved to have stayed longer. It was the best place we stayed at in all our trip. Didn’t want to leave. Absolutely nothing!!!
- Rina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tom (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kayleigh (10/5): Lovely Kent stay in the countryside with animals! - The farm is situated in a rural part of Kent surrounded by orchards and pretty villages. It was so peaceful. The owners were friendly and helpful and even gave us a lift to the wedding we were attending. The breakfast in the morning was lovely with plenty to choose from. Our room was comfortable and roomy with great views over the landscape and with a lovely big en suite. And the animals just made it even better. There wasn't a lock on our room door. Thats a preference of mine, a lock just helps me feel more secure and gives some privacy when staying in a guesthouse/hotel.
- Rob (10/5): Fantastic hospitality , simply the best breakfast. A real hidden gem. - Beautiful countryside home from home .
- Kim (10/5): Wonderful stay with lots of special touches - Such a lovely warm welcome, felt at ease straight away.
Clean fresh rooms and comfortable beds.
A very interesting stay and in our group 3 generations enjoyed feeding the animals with some very special touches.
Lovely relaxing garden to chill and soak up the atmosphere and sunshine. Would love to return Nothing
- Elaine (10/5): Excellent stay - The hosts were fantastic, really friendly and helpful, couldn’t do enough for you, there was a shared breakfast table, fresh bread and plenty of choice.
Wonderful surroundings, with plenty of animals to see. The whole family were extremely welcoming and friendly. We will definitely stay again when in the area. Nothing not to like.
- Claire (10/5): Welcoming home from home - Second visit, loved returning to see the puppy grown up, and got to see the animal again too! Kids loved it!! We loved the piggies x Nothing, kids didn’t want to leave
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jure (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful location, amazing breakfast, exceptional hospitality
- Mike (10/5): A fantastic, friendly place to stay. - We had an immensely enjoyable stay. Hugh and Sarah were so open and friendly that it felt like staying with family. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice of fruit, home made jams and amazing bread. Then we had the chance to help feeding the animals - a lot of fun. The beds were comfortable but we're used to something a bit bigger. The positives far outweigh this though. Would love to go back.
- Anita (10/5): Excellent we would recommend this to anyone - Family friendly farm
- Staple (10/5): Exceptional - The owners could not be more helpful and welcoming. Lovely, comfortable rooms and a great breakfast. My wife and I had great fun meeting and feeding the animals. Nothing.
- Phil (10/5): A brilliant weekend away in a beautiful location - Lots of lovely personal touches from Hugh and Sarah made the stay exceptional. Nothing
- Jorien (10/5): Wonderful farm stay - Lovely stay, we were made to feel very welcome in their home. Our daughter got to help feeding the animals and had plenty of toys to keep her busy. Beautiful, peaceful surroundings. Breakfast was fantastic too. Nothing really.
- Debra (10/5): Exceptional experience - The owners were so welcoming made it feel like your own home. They included us as if we were family engaging in wonderful conversation. The breakfast choice was exceptional. It was wonderful to have a tour of their smallholding and to feed the lambs. Good recommendations for the local area. Would definitely return.
- Rasaton (10/5): We will surely come back. - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Withy Farm! The warm hospitality, the cosy rooms, and the wonderful breakfast with fresh products from the farm made our visit perfect. The idyllic location and all the loving details make this place truly special. We felt completely at home. We would love to come back!

- Rebecca (10/5): Wonderful place to stay - Withy farm is a wonderful home-from-home in the middle of the beautiful Kent countryside. Hugh and Sarah are fantastic hosts. They went out of their way to make me feel at home, treating me as one of the family, and even gave me supper. As it was lambing time, they gave me every opportunity to feed the lambs and learn more about the farming way of life. You really could not ask for more. Highly recommend. Nothing could have been better.
- Mike (10/5): Exceptional -
- Claire (10/5): Everything and more! - From start to finish we enjoyed every minute, so welcoming, friendly and really is a home from home. My daughter was over the moon to see the addition of 7 puppies and all the other animals on the farm. Room was spacious, very comfortable and quiet. We went to the Woolpack pub (5mins down the road) for dinner and wasn’t disappointed either. Would highly recommend to anyone and will be returning again! Also breakfast was one of the best we’ve had, the variety of foods offered is amazing and the bonus of a freshly laid egg was such a treat. See you again soon 😊 xx We wasn’t there longer
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Hugh and Sarah are such good welcoming hosts, we were plied with snacks anytime, we went out on the farm and met the animals, and met there lovely children too
Very sociable family
- Philipp (10/5): Exceptional - Translation results
Sarah and Hugh are very warm and endeavouring hosts. You are made to feel welcome from the very first minute. The animals were a little highlight. The breakfast, partly with their own produce, is delicious and plentiful. They also gave us tips for our excursions and provided us with delicious packed lunches. We would love to come back if we are in the area again. Nothing :)

Sara and Hugh were very warm, welcoming and generous with their time. We were fed with home-cooked food upon arrival and in the morning. My son got to feed the animals at the farm and really enjoyed it there. We will definitely be back!
- Gareth (10/5): Welcoming and all round beautiful property - Sarah and Hugh are such lovely and welcoming people. They have a lovely spacious home and made us instantly feel welcome. The freshly laid eggs for breakfast were amazing.
Being able to go and see the animals was an added bonus.
Although the rooms were fairly basic in terms of not having a tv etc, the fact that they made you welcome in their lounge more than made up for it. Genuinely can't think of anything.
- Paul (10/5): Canterbury countryside stay. - The whole experience was excellent from the minute we stepped in until the day we departed. Hugh and Sarah were the perfect hosts! Not applicable.
- Sarah (10/5): An absolute gem - An experience like no other, an absolute masterclass in hospitality (and I have worked in hospitality for 15 years). My father and I were welcomed with open arms, like friends or family rather than paying guests. Everything is so relaxed and laid-back, you can't help but have a wonderful stay. We particularly enjoyed the cuddles with the doggies, while chatting to our passionate and enchanting hosts. The rooms are cosy, quiet and very comfortable. Beautiful location in the countryside, close to restaurants and shops. We can't stop talking about this place, it truly is extra-ordinary (especially in this age of key-boxes and contactless check-in). We are looking forward to coming back with family for many future visits. Absolutely nothing negative. À big thank you to our warm and generous hosts who made our stay extra special. We're so grateful for all the time, energy and love that they put into welcoming their guests.
- Janet (10/5): Perfect - As soon as we arrived , we were greeted with coffee and cake . Provided with wellies for a tour of the farm . Sarah and Hugh were such hospitable hosts. We felt very welcome indeed . They actively encouraged us to join them for a glass of wine in the evening . Nothing .
- Christine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anne (10/5): Lovely peaceful stay in the lovely kent countryside. - Wonderful friendly welcome and a lovely comfortable room, with a beautiful bathroom. So peaceful and surrounded by orchards and farmland. Such kind and generous hosts, and we slept so well. Breakfast was lovely and we loved chatting with Sarah and Hugh. Thank you so much. Everything was great.
- M.j.p. (8/5): Central location in Kent near Dover - Great location on the countryside with a warm welcome by friendly hosts. Excellent meal and you really feel that you are taken care of. Very central for travellers from/to Europe and a visit of Dover and Canterbury. The facilities are in the house of the hosts themselves, the bedroom is just upstairs. You eat in their kitchen and may sit in their living room. Depending of tour taste, the bed can feel somewhat narrow for two persons and you might hear anything in the house.
- Julie (9/5): Wonderful comfortable accommodation with generous welcoming hosts - Excellent place to stay. Rural location lovely and quiet. Big comfy room with lots of light. Welcoming, generous hosts who are informative about the area and passionate about their farmlife. Highly recommend staying here!
- Franz (10/5): Exceptional - A warm welcome, a cosy home, nice animals and outstanding hosts. Wow!
- Diane (9/5): Very welcoming and relaxed stay with lovely fresh food. - Just a bit different and somewhere lovely for children in particular. Very much a home from home. Nothing really.
- Jayne (9/5): Would highly recommend and we would definitely stay again. Sarah and Hugh are lovely hosts. - We only had a short stay, but a lovely one. Sarah and Hugh were very friendly, welcoming hosts.
Our room was large and clean with a good size en-suite and a comfortable bed.
Breakfast was plentiful , continental style, with fresh eggs from their farm, cooked how you wanted, if you wanted them and with the addition of homemade bread.
Location was lovely and peaceful, with lovely scenery.
The homemade sausage rolls and cake given to us to take on our days out were a surprise, but very much appreciated. Nothing.
- Menno (9/5): Amazing hosts - Hugh and Sarah are amazing hosts, very friendly and welcoming. They really go the extra mile for their guests. We loved the good conversations and their great care. Nothing. You might not enjoy this as much as we did if you don't like being close to the hosts or their animals.
