Guest Reviews
- Emma (8/5): -
- Hazel (6/5): Enjoyable stay but felt accommodation lacking in certain areas. - Location and views No welcoming pack despite being told there would be.
Lack of crockery- 2 bowls with 1 cracked for 5 people.
No dish drainer and Lack of cooking utensils.
Back yard was dirty and overgrown with weeds. Not pleasant to sit in. Quite disappointed for what was charged.
- Simon (6/5): Overall not bad for a couple of nights - Really clean and very very comfortable beds. View was awesome from top bedroom Parking is not good. It was only luck and a few hours after arrival that we managed to get a spot on the street. There is very limited spots available as a good number are coupled with houses on the street. Due to the property being on an elevated position, pulling your luggage up to the property is not really an option . There is parking on nearby streets but it quite a pull for the luggage all uphill.
Back garden was really overgrown and not really ideal for dogs.
No welcome book so it was a bit hit and miss what went in which bin… sorry if we got it wrong .
- Margaret (7/5): -
- Wilson (6/5): - Good location Garden none existent very small seating area?
No good for dogs and if you want to sit out in the sun parking hit and miss pot luck no good for large cars
- Andrew (8/5): Good stay. Nice views from top bedroom, quiet area to be fair no noise. Good stay tbf - Good location. Clean and tidy inside Not much parking space. Garden wasn’t as tidy as inside.
- Colleen (10/5): Our stay was amazing , everyone was happy . Loads to do . Tram to the Orme on your doorstep. Family friendly pub , with - It was very clean , comfortable, spacious , cosy , nice big dining. Area for family meals . Lovely bathroom with bath . There was nothing to dislike .
- Ann (6/5): -
- Gary (6/5): - Good location Decor
- Hollie (6/5): - It needs to be stated when booking that the property is on a steep hill.
- CLAIRE (8/5): Would definitely go back. - Plenty of room and the fire was nice and cosy. Had to park a few streets away, which was only a problem as it was raining quite heavily, however there was a skip outside and I’m sure when that isn’t there, then parking might be better.
- Okamoto (8/5): Extremely positive, comfortable, and spacious stay in a fantastic location, but with a couple of short falls that can ea - What We Liked (8/10 Positive Experience)
• Location: Great location and area.
• Property Size: Great and ample size of the property.
• Bedrooms: Nice, generous size of the bedrooms.
• Comfort & Cleanliness: Arrangement, cleanliness, and comfort provided were absolutely great.
• Heating and Comfort: Excellent heating was provided, and the presence of a fireplace was a great addition.
• Overall: Enjoyed the stay; the overall experience was very positive.
We had an extremely positive, wonderful stay thanks to the property's fantastic location, generous space, and high standard of comfort and cleanliness. We highly recommend it! However, we deducted two points due to a few shortcomings: the urgent safety risk from the damaged banister spindle, and the lack of basic, expected supplies like essential cutlery, glasses, and toiletries. Addressing these minor issues would make this a perfect 10/10 property. What Needs Addressing (2-Point Deduction)
Safety and Maintenance (Urgent)
• Stairs Handrail (Urgent Safety Hazard): A spindle is severely damaged/loose, leaving a dangerous gap in the banister. This is especially concern for parents with small kids.
• Washing Machine: Difficult to turn on, inaccurate programs (e.g., "rapid 60" takes 3 hours), and makes a loud, rattling noise during the spin cycle.
Missing Supplies (usually expected)
• Cooking knives: Missing. There was only a bread cutting knife there(see pic)
• Cutlery: the set of good knives and forks is a bit short for property of this size and group
• Glasses: No wine glasses were supplied. (We used Champagne glasses for red wine)
• Wiping Cloths: Inadequate supply of cloths for worktops/tables (only one dish drying cloth provided).
• Kitchen Roll: Kitchen roll was not provided.
• Toilet Rolls: Initial supply was minimal/inadequate (2 rolls for 3days with 5 people weren’t enough).
• Coffee Setup: If ground coffee is provided, there is no filter, strainer, or machine to brew it.
• Toiletries: Shampoo, body soap, conditioner, and soap were missing.
• Hair Dryer: A hair dryer was not provided.
• Parking: There was some space in front of the property but a skip was taking up the a couple of spaces(see pic). We found a free space elsewhere 3-5 min walk from the property.
Apart from spindle issue all the other aspects are something we can live with and just missing “finishing touches” that some excellent self catering properties we visited in the past provided. Those little things add the great holiday experience.
- Helen (7/5): Nice - The location was good Paintwork etc a bit shabby , broken spindle in the stairs , not very clean - needed a good hoover but not dirty as such
- Sean (10/5): Excellent property and would definitely book again in the future. - Ideal location very clean, well maintained property and comfortable. There was nothing not to like.
- Tracy (8/5): Clean, tidy, near town centre, pier, house got well equipped items , lovely views, nice and relaxing stay - Location, clean, well equipped, choice of heating if needed Parking, small garden
- Julie (8/5): Short break for friends. Good instructions from owner and easy check in with key safe. - Good location for the tram up to top of Orme.
Take away and pub opposite.
Comfortable beds.
Amazing view from top floor bedroom. Only 1 bathroom. Refresh of property needed.
- Nancy (10/5): Everything was great. I would highly recommend the Orme Lodge. - Excellent location. Very clean and comfortable.
- Ian (5/5): Facilities and location are good, but everything needed a good spruce-up!. - The surrounding properties were quite delapidated. There was a strong smell from the drains at the rear and the bins are left in the front yard area also smelling.
- Juvienia (8/5): Accommodated to comfortably - Clean and modern N/A
- Tracy (10/5): A super location, a beautiful view from the top room and extremely clean! - The rooms were extremely comfortable, the beds soft, the towels were huge. There was everything you needed 😁 The back yard needed a patch of grass, it is pet friendly and the dogs just needed a bit a grass. I also think you should mention this up a steep hill. I know there is parking but I think you need to say it is street parking and hit or miss to get a space.
- Liam (8/5): Very good -
- Mark (10/5): Fantastic - Lovely clean house, spacious and an absolutely lovely view from the master bedroom
- Janet (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely house and great location to do a variety of things
- Victoria (9/5): Lovely family short break in a family friendly home - It was a lovely property which was clean, well equipped and in a great location Nothing really.
- Crawford (7/5): Good -
- Mandy (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely property, well presented.
- Kevin (8/5): Very good -
- Heidi (10/5): Exceptional - Great little house,Great location, clean tidy and beds very comfy, will definatley be booking here again
- Nicola (5/5): Would not recommend or return - Location is good It’s very dated - kitchen and bathroom were ok
Decorations were bodged
Stale smell as soon as I opened the front door
Dirty marks over walls
Back garden terrace area is awful
No welcome pack explaining where things were
Fire does not work think it’s been disconnected
Paid nearly £400and stayed 1 night
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cheryl (10/5): Exceptional -
- Belinda (7/5): Good - The house was lovely, clean and comfortable. The bedrooms are a good size and the beds were really comfortable. The house is on an incline and this was a bit problematic for some of our party, however it is actually close to town with parking, which was very convenient.
- Bonnell (8/5): Very good - Very clean and comfortable. Lovely location.
Could do with supplying some basics such as soap, or shower gel, salt, pepper, hair dryer.
- Christine (9/5): Superb - Great location, very clean and super comfy beds Couldve done with a radio or better channels on the TV
- Adele (9/5): Nice break - The rooms are lovely and spacious. Everything you need for a weekend away. Girls had their choice of rooms. Lovely views from the top bedroom. On arrival there’s was no parking. As we pulled upto the property all the bins where in the middle off the pathway. Had too move them to the side. Shame there’s no where else they can be put.
- Wai (8/5): This Airbnb was in a fantastic location - Excellent Location, Spacious & Well-Equipped Stay, just a short walk to the ferry terminal and tram station, making it super convenient to get around. The room was spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. It felt like a home away from home. Highly recommend~ The parking space in front was often full, and the road was quite narrow, so I had to park on a nearby street.
- Susan (9/5): Superb - Very comfortable house, everything was provided. It was very clean and cosy. The view from top bedroom window was amazing. Excellent location just by tram station. Would definately use again!!
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful house and great setting. Very clean and spacious. Parking right outside the property. Lovely views. A dishwasher would of been useful rather than a washing machine but not a big issue for us.
- Helen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Koz (8/5): Very good - Location, contacless access, and spacious double bedrooms. Lovely view from the top bedroom too. Heating system works really well. Lovely fireplace. Everything was nice and clean. Boxes with some rubbish just on the entrance. Very limited parking spaces - our friend's family couldn't fit their car anywhere. There is only one toilet for a large company of people (5 of us). No little supplies like tea bags/milk/sugar.
- Craig (6/5): Lots of space and good location, not a very nice or comfy place to stay and really needs cleaning properly and making mo - Large rooms and good location Not very homely, quite run down and not as
clean as we thought it would be. We were there for Christmas and it wasn’t a very cheery house to stay.
- Kerry (10/5): We really enjoyed our stay at Orme Lodge - Lovely comfy beds & a fantastic view from the top floor front bed room.
So cosy on the evening with the fire on too.
We would definitely book to stay here again.
- Paul (9/5): Would absolutely stay there again - Excellent location Nothing
- Diane (8/5): It was a nice comfortable house - Nice house. Comfortable. The smell from the pubs cooking.
- Susan (8/5): Comfortable and clean. - Location was great, right behind the tram station Extra toilet / shower would be nice
- Lizzie (9/5): Lovely house and location! - Brilliant location, walking distance from the pier and the town. Lovely spacious house which feels clean and fresh. The parking was a bit difficult but what you expect with an old town house! Wouldn’t stop me from going back if I wanted to stay in Llandudno but if you want to drive out and about a bit, your space might be gone when you’re back
- Antony (5/5): Clearly designed to look at rather than live in; great location, but could have been a lot better. - Great location right next to the Llandudno tram; nice and quiet too. Lovely view from the top floor bedroom Tiny bathroom - no room even for a toliet roll holder (should have just had a shower rather than try and squeeze in a small uncomfortable bath); no bathroom soap / toiletries; bathrooms wasn't clean (filthy behind stand-alone jet black sink); very small kitchen (fridge outside in lounge); not even any washing up liquid supplied; no coffee plunger or any other way of making non-instant coffee; no dishwasher; only a standard small double bed in the top floor master bedroom when there is masses of space for a queen or king. Trendy black decor not to my taste, but of course this is subjective.
- Victoria (8/5): Very good -
- Abraham (8/5): Very good -
- Sammy (7/5): Good - I like everything about the place. Areas were peaceful N/A
- Emmie (9/5): Superb -
- Karen (8/5): Very good - Lovely and clean, nicely furnished and decorated. Front bedrooms are large with excellent views from the top floor bedroom. Well equipped kitchen and nice courtyard garden. Would be even better if another toilet could be installed somewhere. Would definitely stay again.
- Humphreys (8/5): Very good - The back yard furniture was old and rusty. The floor also needs some attention. A dishwasher would be of better use in the kitchen rather than a washing machine.
- Dr (8/5): Very good - We really enjoyed staying at Orme Lodge! We loved the closeness to all amenities, the town, beach and the tram just below us and so close to the Great Orme walks and Haulfrie Gardens and cafe with lovely views. The beds and sofa were very comfy and there were lovely soft carpets throughout and large mirrors in the bedrooms with lots of electric sockets. Our host responded quickly to all questions and then went above and beyond to store our suitcases in his unit after we checked out so that we didn’t have to cart them around during the last day, greatly appreciated, thanks Phil!👍 The house could really do with more than one bathroom for 4-6 guests but obviously we knew this already, it was also unusual not to provide soap and shower gel -all our other rentals have provided these and there was no hairdryer, apparently due to other guests burning the carpet but there was an iron and baby cot. It’s a steep hill up to the property but we were ok with that, would be an issue for anyone with mobility issues. Would have been nice to have small milk bottle in fridge for a welcome cuppa on arrival.
- Julie (7/5): Good -
- Mark (8/5): Very good - Really great location. Right next to the tram station and the Kings head pub, which was a godsend when we came back from walking up and down the Great Orme! 😉
- Bryan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Trevor (10/5): Exceptional - Comfort throughout
- Bedford (9/5): Nice house right near town - Lovely house, well equipped, the beds are really comfortable and a short walk into town. It is right next to the tram station to go up the Great Orme.
- Imran (9/5): Fantastic stay, excellent location, spacious, wonderful facilities - Good communication, Fantastic location. Great facilities including microwave, cooker, oven, toaster, kettle, washing machine, fridge freezer, utensils, cutlery, bowls and plates, towels, 100mb high speed wifi, comfy bedding, spacious rooms, parking right outside, sky TV. What's not to like?! Will definitely be back
- Claire (6/5): comfortable stay would recommend just a few tweaks in kitchen needed - spotlessly clean, comfy beds, nice bed linen. view from front looked on to a pub roof, limited kitchen equipment eg no serving dishes or champagne flutes for fizz
- Andy (9/5): Lovely property. - Great location, right next to a nice pub.Spotlessly clean, 2 large double bedrooms with nice views and 2 single rooms, comfortable modern furniture in living room, modern throughout without loosing character, . Nice owner who forwarded me some shoes I had left. Would definitely stay again if available. Really nothing to do with this property but the houses either side could do with a renovation like this.
- Clive (10/5): Really enjoyed everything about the property - Great location and very spacious & comfortable No sharp knife in the kitchen and that minor fact is the only complaint!
- Mjgreeny77 (9/5): Superb - Great location and surprisingly big. The bedrooms are huge and the open living room and dining room was prefect with a gas log burner and plenty of seating. The heating was great and was very cozy. Property had ample parking outside and just a 2min walk to the orme tram. 5min walk to the shops and beach, and was set high up allowing a sea view from the top double bedroom. We will definitely be back
Stay with my parents, two teenage children, and two cockapoos Nothing really, though my parents struggle on stairs and would have been easier with a hand rail, rear yard could do with some astro turf just to finish and maybe a dish rack for the sink drainer would be advantageous when drying the pots. None of these notes would stop us going again, we loved the place
- Wayne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jennifer (9/5): Lovely stay in great spot! - Great location and views.
Lovely house with good facilties.
Nice pub in next street, easy to get to shops etc. Toilet seat does not fit.
Could do with hand rails on stairs for less mobile/ children.
- Neil (9/5): Fantastic, very comfortable house in quiet location! - Fabulous place to stay for time in Llandudno. 4 of us stayed here for 2 nights. Great communication from owner beforehand regarding key pickup. Facilities superb everything you could ever need and more - oven, washing machine, microwave, smart TV, large comfy lounge and dining area, clean tidy bathroom with loads of hot water and supplied toilet rolls and towels. Short walk into town and pier area and literally a few seconds walk to a decent pub and fish and chip shop! We had a fantastic weekend and would definitely stay here again. Nothing really to dislike, apart from maybe the expected 10am check out time, a little early for our group personally, but then it's hard to be an early riser when you're out on the town with friends the night before! Midday would be perfect, or even 11am a better option.
