Guest Reviews
- Ursula (10/5): Clean, stylish and safe. - Modern, clean, well equipped close to handy shops and safe for a female lone traveller.
- Jim (6/5): - Nice room Other people talking outside the room after 10pm, then one blithering idiot unlocking and locking his poxy tesla at 0130 causing the alarm to sound, right outside our window, no consideration for anyone who's sleeping
- Lisa (10/5): -
- Karl (10/5): -
- Tracy (10/5): - Beautiful and clean
- karen (7/5): -
- Catriona (8/5): A clean and comfortable room with good quality furnishings in a pleasant village with good amenities - Location close to the shops and amenities. Good cafe's and restaurants. Other nice villages to visit nearby like Hebden Bridge. Very clean. Host answered my questions and suggestions in a quick and friendly manner. Layout thoughtfully planned. Sheets and towels are of high quality. Bed very comfortable. If you can't park nearby you can unload and then move to a nearby free carpark. We struggled to get the temperature right over night as the room was affected by the temperature in the hall. It was a small room for two people but we were advised by the host that this was so. No larger rooms were available when we needed to visit so we chose to book the room and come. The bed was ok in size, we're just not used to being in such a small living space. The layout however made the most of the space. We are likely to book again because it was so convenient.
- Sylvia (10/5): - Lovely and clean. Just perfect for my stay.
- Ryan (9/5): Lovely, cosy space in the heart of Rawtenstall - Really lovely property, nice and cosy. The pillows weren’t comfortable but you can’t have it all.
- Musleh (10/5): Amazing - The property was absolutely amazing honestly, you couldn’t ask for anything better. Everything exceeded expectations, from the cleanliness and comfort to the overall atmosphere and attention to detail. The experience was flawless from start to finish, and I would 100% recommend this booking to anyone looking for a perfect stay. I would definitely stay here again without hesitation. Nothing everything was amazing
- Hamer (10/5): Highly recommend the moathouse - It was spotless comfortable had everything one would want i could not fault this accommodation highly recommended the bed is very comfortable Nothing at all had the perfect stay
- Lynn (10/5): Perfect - We had the Venice suite it was excellent very clean and comfortable.
We would highly recommend.
2 min walk to all the bars and restaurants. Would we stay again? Of course it was just great for our weekend with friends The only thing was it was too warm even with the radiators off the underfloor heating was too warm.
- Evita (10/5): Relaxing stay - The building is on a quiet street in very pretty neighbourhood, easy walking distance to shops and cafes. Beautifully decorated room. Comfortable bed. Nothing

- Arthur (10/5): - We stayed in the Milan Suite at the Moat House, it was very clean and beautifully decorated as was the rest of the property. The room was adequate for a two night stay, the shower room and kitchen were lovely and the fridge was a great addition (not usually found in hotels.) The house was central, just a few minutes from the main street and short walk to Asda. There is a free car park down some steps opposite the property, parking for three cars beside the house and also outside but this is restricted to 30 minutes Monday-Saturday until 6.30pm. The TV was on the wall beside the bed (only wall big enough to accommodate it) and we had to rearrange the chairs to watch. 7

- Brian (7/5): Pleasant but unlucky with the guests upstairs - Location was great and the room was nice and warm We were unfortunate in that there were rugby lads in the upstairs rooms so the shower was cold to Luke warm most days as they had used it first. We weren’t aware we were sharing the washing machine and the boys had it on at all hours. Once they left the shower was hot and the washing machine available again.
- Allun (9/5): Very nice - Small issue with shower head, unable to adjust.
Would need some attention.
- Greg (8/5): -
- Karen (10/5): Fabulous accommodation, great location , easy access to the town - Great location, well presented, everything you needed was there !
Hosts were easy to message and kept us informed
- Julie (10/5): Beautiful apartment - One of the best apartments I've stayed in. They have thought of absolutely everything. Comfortable bed, beautiful furnishings, easy to park outside the property, brilliant shower, nice and quiet location and a lovely view from the kitchen, great kitchen area and table and chairs. Easy walking distance to Asda and independent shops and takeaways. Unfortunately, my sleep was severely affected by a constant vibration sound coming from behind the pipes in the kitchen area. It was impossible to watch the TV's apps as they were extremely slow to load.
- Holland (10/5): Happy - My 3rd time staying at Moat house . I find it warm cosy and very clean . Very central for myself with no car
- Mo (10/5): -
- julie (9/5): I would definitely stay again. - It was very convenient. Very handy for food options in Rawtenstall. And I could almost see the Kay’s chip shop that I visit when in the area ( I get sweet and sour fish bites with half chips and half rice).Nice decoration. Had almost everything I needed. My room had 3 dining style chairs but a more comfortable one would have been nice.
A bigger chopping board and bread knife in the kitchen area would be nice. The one board was very tiny, not really big enough to even cut up a bread roll.
I really really struggled to open the key safe both at the beginning and end of my stay.
- jason (9/5): -
- Sarah (10/5): lovely place to stay - very clean and well equipped
- Mark (10/5): Perfect for our overnight stay - Stayed a few times
Location, comfy and perfect
- Victoria (8/5): Lovely place to stay, very convenient for the high street, clean and comfortable - Location, clean, comfortable The shower ran lukewarm very quickly
- Francesca (10/5): Fab, great value and gorgeous room - Was the perfect room, spotless and very spacious. Also the host was so attentive, making sure I settled in well etc, really fab. nothing, my expectations were exceeded
- Craig (8/5): -
- Joanne (9/5): -
- Karen (9/5): Well kept modern great location - Very clean fresh smelling. Kitchen and bathroom finished to a high standard Very soft bed personal choice. Towels could be bigger
- LORINA (10/5): - Host was attentive and informative. The suite was really clean and comfortable 😌 Nothing
- Dean (10/5): Unbelievable host, impeccably clean and comfortable. - Nothing not to like. The place is immaculate! Great location and the communication from the property before during and after was the best I’ve ever seen. You will struggle to find anything.
- Sheila (10/5): Comfortable stay in a modern and stylish apartment - The property is clean and modern and although it is small the space has been used well with adequate room and plenty of storage space Nothing
- Hadley (10/5): - Great location, excellent communication from the hosts always checking everything is okay with the stay and there for any issues! Rooms are super cosy and have everything you need
- Ruth (10/5): An extremely comfortable and well designed place to stay. - It was the perfect location for me attending an event at the Cricket Club. The room was lovely and the bed was so comfortable. The owners checked in on me to make sure everything was okay and they were easy to contact when I got confused about the lock box! Nothing. It was all great.
- Yusuf (10/5): Almost perfection. - Everything Reoccurring issue with the water temperature in shower being too cold.
- Tracey (10/5): - Great location for work on bank street
- Kian (10/5): -
- Melanie (8/5): Great location great room. - Location was perfect. The room was nicely decorated. The kitchen was nice to decorated and the bathroom itself was lovely. The floorboards from upstairs crate so every time someone walked around you heard a third Creek Creek someone woke up upstairs at 3:30 every night while we were there making noise walking around opening doors so we didn’t get much sleep.
When it’s a full house, the hot water runs out after so many washes and we must’ve been the last as our shower was cold the first morning so I couldn’t get a shower.
- Ian (10/5): - Everything was perfect.
Second stay here. Would definitely return
- Debbie (10/5): -
- Lisa Jane (10/5): Simple easy access clean stylish room - Clean modern spaciousness Nothing
- John (9/5): Everything was as we expected. - Position, high quality presentation. Nothing comes to mind.
- Tony (10/5): Venue was clean, comfortable, quiet and facilities to our liking and needs. - Convenient to friends and family - 10 minute walking distance. N/A
- Paul (9/5): Second time I have stayed . Very central and convenient - Clean and comfortable. Good location N/A
- Dunn (10/5): -
- Charlotte (5/5): The apartment is lovely, clean and well furnished however the bed does not accommodate two adults and is more appropriat - The property was beautifully furnished and to a high quality! The room is spotless. It’s in a very good location. The bed - very small and not suitable for two adults.
- Rosaleen (10/5): 3rd stay in property Florence suit best loved it - Location facilities cleanliness Nothing
- Susan (9/5): Quality apartment - Compact but very well designed. Quality interior.
Good communication Felt a bit like a showroom so couldn’t fully relax for fear of making a small mark on something. However host seemed happy that we followed their list of visitor cleanliness requirements. I do understand their desire to keep it spotless.
- Mark (10/5): Great 😊 - Close to parents
Cosy and Perfect for a stay
- Christina (10/5): -
- Aaron (10/5): -
- Rachel (10/5): Highly recommended - Beautifully decorated, ideal location for St Mary’s Chambers and spotlessly clean. Hosts were on hand by text if there were any problems and were extremely helpful. Nothing
- Carol (7/5): - Excellent location for our convenience. Easy, free parking. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. We definitely hope to visit again, but would opt for a room with a larger bed space. Our only issue was that the bed was on the small size and since it was against a side wall, allowed little wriggle room, so we'd definitely prefer a larger bed!
- Sarah Aileen (9/5): -
- Mellor (10/5): -
- Barbara (10/5): Very happy with the room and stay - Beautiful house and room, very clean, brilliant location.. brilliant price too. Will definitely be booking again! Thankyou
- Lisa (9/5): Lovely - Lovely room, nice and cosy. Good location in relation to the town and the events venue we were attending. Only tiny grumble - it was a little hot in the hall when coming in, the room was a good temperature.
- ema-ray (10/5): - Beautifully decorated room, really comfortable bed just a bit in the small side. Lovely little kitchen with everything you needed. And lovely bathroom with spacious shower. No oven gloves in the kitchen. And could do with some black out blinds in living room as every time a car went past it lit the whole room up.
- Holland (10/5): -
- Bev (8/5): Clean, but compact apartment - The apartment was clean and well furnished. It had a nice little kitchen area. The location was good for all the restaurants and bars in Rawtenstall. The Milan apartment was compact, there was a double bed that was up against a wall, no room for bedside tables.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Excellent - Stylish, compact, everything I needed
- Steve (8/5): Fab room with good facilities in a great location - Great use of the space, clean and a wonderful shower.
Kitchen was well stocked and easy to use.
Location was brilliant too A few little blemishes such as damaged floor tile, damaged corner of wall, aerial sockets and a couple other minor details that need attention to make it pristine.
- Emma (10/5): Well designed for a comfortable stay. - Warm and comfortable, no problem parking & helpful host. Basics provided in kitchen and quiet location.
- Simon (9/5): Exceptional apartment. Modern furnishings - Modern layout and swish look There was only a small double bed for me and my friend but it was really my fault as I booked then asked my friend to come along and by that time there were no twin bed apartments. available
- katrina (10/5): -
- Barbara (8/5): A comfortable, restful stay in a well appointed Air BnB Rawtenstall Air BnB - The Venice Suite was spacious & comfortable, nicely appointed obviously recently renovated and, most importantly, it was toasty warm!! Lovely views from our windows, and we gratefully used the much needed washer in the utility room. The location was great too, just a short walk to my relatives. The stairs were challenging for us seniors with 2 medium but heavy suitcase. Fortunately, a kind gentleman was coming out of his room as I was struggling with mine & took it up for me. I should add that we were in England & Wales visiting from Canada for 19 days & had brought warm clothes & waterproofs for our tour, thankfully!
- Caroline (7/5): It was a cosy stay but won’t be back to that room however I would return for an apartment - Room was lovely stylish and immaculate Description of room is misleading as it makes you think you have a separate living room which you don’t . There is a sitting space at the end of the bedroom plus there is a space for a small kitchen
- Katrina (10/5): Five star - Comfortable and clean Nothing
- Pauline (1/5): Be wary. Odd business/owner. Couldn’t access property and didn’t get full refund as promised. Communication with own - Couldn’t access property at all due to door code not working. wasn’t able to stay and had to come home. Chaotic inconsistent communication with Donna throughout and for a week after. Promised a full refund. Got £30 back but given run around for the rest. Still no refund. Terrible experience beginning to end. Never managed to get in so couldn’t stay, promised full refund which didn’t happen. Something very odd about this business be careful if you are considering booking.
- Hamza (3/5): - I liked the design of the place and the homely feel The place was cold and the radiators weren't working. The house rules book said to turn the dial on the radiators however it still didn't work. Then to top it off there was no hot water so I couldn't even have a nice hot shower. Very disappointing
- Angela (9/5): -
- Bronwyn Harrison (10/5): Perfect Accommodation 👌 - Absolutely amazing accommodation. Perfectly clean, great location. Definitely 5 stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Loved everything ❤️
- Nigel pickles (8/5): Lovely Stay in Rawtenstall. - The room was decorated and furnished to a high standard..
The bed and pillows were comfy I had a good sleep.
The kitchen had everything I needed and worked well...the bathroom had everything included a great shower..
I liked how the TV could be swivelled to most positions in the room and it had all the channels I needed and was plenty big enough..
I would definitely stay again..
There was also a space to park my car which was right next to the house.
The house is a perfect location for anyone wishing to stay in and around Rossendale.. Unfortunately the floor boards in the room creaked everytime you walked over them so was quite annoying after a while and I'm sure it would be for anyone underneath my room!
- Brian (10/5): -
- Ian (10/5): -
- Monks (8/5): -
- Colin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Geraldine (10/5): Great space and ingenious design - Great space - ingenious design and loved the décor. Comfortable bed and all spotlessly clean. Didn't expect such great views! Special thanks to lovely Sandra - I arrived just after 3pm, just as she was leaving with bags of cleaning supplies - she immediately took the time to say hello, introduce me to the suite and show me the extra parking area, all much appreciated! I would definitely stay again.
- Kathleen (9/5): Short break in Rawtenstall - We couldn't fault the accommodation. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The TV was too big for the room. We were concerned that one of us would bang their head on it getting in or out of bed.
- Marian (10/5): Pity we weren't there longer. - Beautiful accomodation we were so lucky to find. We were only there for less than 24 hours, and wish we had been there longer. Went with friends who also loved their rooms. Very tastefully decorated to a high standard. Extremely comfortable bed and beautifully white linen. A credit to the staff who clean.
- Jo (9/5): Very pleasant stay, exceeded expectations by far - Cleanliness, the facilities. It was very compact but so well equipped. Very modern decor. Too much light coming through the window blinds. Lack of nearby parking options.
- Chris (9/5): Superb -
- Lynsey (9/5): Superb -
- Patrick (9/5): Clean modern and comfortable apartment in Rawtenstall. - Excellent location in the heart of Rawtenstall town centre. But in a quiet street.
Very clean. Easy check in and check out using a key box.
Very good communication with the hosts.
Very comfortable bed - I had an excellent nights sleep
Nice bathroom with an excellent shower.
Having a kitchen was an added bonus. Nothing.
- Susan (9/5): Lovely stay - Lovely modern apartment close to centre of Rawtenstall . Bed was comfortable but small
- Melanie (8/5): Very good -
- Anthony (6/5): Pleasant - Couldn't open windows, tricky parking, tiny room, TV in awkward place
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Steve (10/5): The Moat House. - Quality of the facilities was exceptional.
Everthing you need for a great stay was supplied. Central location made it easy to walk to supermarkets, restaurants, shops and bars. Parking available in a vacant lot next door. Nothing
- Nick (8/5): Very good -
- Dylan (4/5): never again - The bed and shower The fact the owner came into the room after I payed for a late check in and made me feel extremely uncomfortable
- Dylan (1/5): Never again -
