• Asiye (10/5): Perfect touristic stay - I liked the rooms — very authentic, cozy, with everything working properly. The hosts were friendly, hospitable and made me feel like family. The front desk and cleaning staff were also very helpful. I also liked the location – it’s close to everything. The hotel is in the centre of Ortaköy, with many options for breakfast and dining. It’s very near the Bosphorus waterfront, and the bus stop for Beşiktaş Square is only a two-minute walk from the hotel. I liked everything

• Triantafyllos (6/5): Descent room in a great location, but with issues - Very cute old house, converted to hotel. Nice style in the lobby and cool jazz type of music! The location in my opinion is excellent. Ortakoy is not that touristy. Also great view on the seaside and the bridge and a couple of amazing restaurants! The beds were quite comfy and the hotel room even had a small fridge to keep food and drinks. Towel and soap were also provided. Some (bad quality) slippers and some complementary water. Temperature was also excellent! Didn’t feel too cold or too hot (but an AC exists). It was more noisy and dirty than I expected but still acceptable. Bathroom and bedsheets were very very clean. However there was more dust than it should be: on the carpet, walls and curtains. The state of the room has been a bit bad, in the sense that fixing some things and painting it is a must! Another bad thing was the brick wall. Every couple of hours, from road vibrations and the rooms above, the wall will leave particles on the bed’s pillow. (I attach a photo). However the worst thing for me was the soundproofing. And especially since the booking ad said there were soundproofing walls, which was a lie. So from the 5 nights I stayed: 2 nights around 2-3am I was woken up from the lobby person who was taking on the phone (not loud. But there’s no soundproofing). 1 night I was woken up at 7am because of people on upstairs room were checking out. And 2 nights I was woken up from the ezan / and some of those times I was wearing earplugs.
• Triantafyllos (6/5): Descent room, at a great location. But improvements are needed - I stayed one night more at a different room on the right building. Room was for the same price, double the size and amenities, ideal for a couple. Had all amenities, including some complementary water and tea. Bedsheets and towels were very clean. Bathroom was good. But there are lots of things for improvement. Nonetheless location in my opinion is great, and I will consider returning again. As per my other review, soundproofing is bad (when it’s clearly stated that exists). But more importantly the condition of the room could be better. There was a hole at the bathroom door, probably from a punch, and definitely the room needed some paint refreshing.

• Sandra (6/5): Perfect for my trip! - Location is great. The hotel displays these old objects, which adds to its historic taste. The book selection to know about Ortakôy is amazing. After Covid, rooms worldwide are no longer sparking clean as they used to be. So, the room could be cleaner for my taste, but if you ask the manager to have it clean, it will be taken care of.

Will return many more times. <3 - I stayed at the Corner Hot for only one night and wasn't expecting much, however it was such a lovely experience that I am already thinking of booking a short trip to Istanbul soon and will most definitely book a room here again. Safe, clean, overall an AMAZING location with EVERYTHING you need within 5-10 minutes walk (good food, pharmacies, shops, etc.) free Wi-Fi, very easy to get to from the airport (Sabiha Gokcen), super friendly and helpful staff at all times and a very cozy room. What more could anyone want? Couldn't recommend this place more to people. I can tell I will visit many more times. There was nothing I personally didn't like, however some people might not like how busy and loud it is, especially at night, however since I LOVE the sounds and the hustle and bustle of Ortaköy, I didn't mind it at all. :)

• Daria (10/5): I stayed in that Lovely Hotel for the 3rd time and i'm very happy with it! - I stayed in that lovely Hotel for the 3rd time and i'm very happy with it! It feels like home to me! It's important for me to receive same kind of friendly and attentive service, on a way of such a long trip as i had. It's a safe, nice, cosy place in a beautiful part of the Istanbul, with easy accesibility to different kinds of public transportation, including sea tram (which is my favourite). There is a plenty of cafes and restaurants around with a great variety of local foods! (I was never dissapointed with them too, by the way. What ever you take -it's always delicious.) Also i want to highlight the exceptional hospitality of the hotel employees: very attentive and friendly people. I will definiteky stay here again when come back to Istanbul!

I was afraid that it will be noisy at night, but it was OK (except of the muezzin at 5 o’clock, but it’s Istanbul :)) Everything in the room seemed a bit old (nevertheless cozy). There was a small water leak in the bathroom
• Natlimo (7/5): Good - The location is very good in a historical center with narrow streets and nice views. The building itself and the interior is interesting and authentic. Stuff is friendly and helpful. As the building is old and the location is quite busy even at night, it was very noisy at night (could not sleep). The bathroom is clean, but old. I was not a fan of a big mirror in front/above the bed, but it is very subjective. I suppose that for someone it will be advantage.
