• HAN (10/5): A Host as Warm as the 'City of Love' Itself - After an exhausting trek in the Dolomites, I booked a 2-night stay in Verona but accidentally set the check-in date one day too early. I only realized my mistake the next morning when I saw a WhatsApp message from the host, which he had sent at midnight. It seems that because I had booked so late at night, he thought I might be arriving immediately and had stayed up waiting for me. By then, the first of our two booked nights had already passed, and I naturally assumed we had just lost the payment for one night. However, the host was incredibly understanding. Without asking a single question, he simply said, "mistakes like this can happen when you're traveling," and graciously pushed our entire reservation back by one day, including the night that had already passed. I am so deeply grateful for his amazing kindness and generosity. His thoughtfulness didn't stop there. He was waiting for us upon our arrival and even helped carry our heavy luggage up. It wasn't a particularly high floor, but navigating any stairs with luggage can be a hassle, so this thoughtful gesture was a huge help. Furthermore, our stay coincided with a brutal heatwave in Italy, but the air conditioning in this apartment was a real lifesaver. With a unit in each bedroom and another in the living room, we were able to stay cool and comfortable indoors, away from the heat outside. The only minor challenge we had was with the front door lock, as it was a type we had never seen before. It's a system where you need to turn the key two or three times to retract the lock in stages. On the final turn, you have to hold the key in its fully turned position and push the door open. We had a bit of trouble and were flustered at first because we didn't know this trick. Providing a detailed heads-up on this for new guests would be a great help

• Lcoyne3 (10/5): Exceptional - Fabulous apartment. Great big apartment with everything you need for a family. Would highly recommend. You can get train just around the corner to venice and easy 25min walk to city centre.
• Blaz (10/5): Exceptional - A spacious apartment near the city center with private parking. The place was clean and well-maintained, and the host was always available for information via WhatsApp. He even organized a New Year’s dinner for our group at an Argentinian restaurant.

• Hui (7/5): Good - It’s just next to a main road, in a very very old and un-managed building. We really wanted to cancel everything in the beginning. The neighborhood doesn’t look safe. But it was all ok at last. But the owner should have mentioned this and showed it in the photos.

The accommodation is clean, tidy, every room has air conditioning, a nice terrace as well as the location, parking is next to the building, a 25-minute walk to the main square. My recommendation.
